Another chapter, whoop! This is where shit gets real.
It has been a whole year since I first transmigrated into this world. Or is it reincarnation?
What's the difference? Well, Reincarnation would mean that- technically, I was in this body since birth, and that my memories only 'activated' at 4 years old.
Transmigration would mean that my Soul sort of...took over this body, which is sad to think about. But it makes sense? I'm sure there was a 'Kasei' in MHA canon.
But then that would mean that my Quirk is somehow linked to my Soul. Which...is a good theory, actually.
I mean, when All For One steals a Quirk, does the person die? Because I think I remember reading that, it's either that or they are in so much pain it might as well as been death.
And I'm also sure that he didn't have my 'Upgrade' Quirk. And yes, I called it Upgrade. Not only because my power did exactly as the name said, but it was also the name of an Alien from a TV show I liked in my old life.
Anyway, that doesn't really matter now, does it? Reincarnation, Transmigration...at the end of the day, I'm here.
Huh, was that an All Might reference?!
I mentally chuckled at myself, I didn't even mean it like that, but even so...
"Huh? What's so funny? Tell me, Nii-san, tell me!"
Blinking, I looked down at Aoi...and then I patted her on the head.
Almost instantly she started blushing and pouting, and I couldn't stop myself from laughing out loud.
"Nii-saaaaaan~! You know I hate it when you do that!"
Grinning, I pinched her cheeks and pulled a little bit, poking her as she pouted further.
"Well when you make such adorable faces, how can I not, Im-ō-to~" I emphasized the last word, poking her again and again.
She pouted even more, punching my arm and running a few steps ahead of me, crossing her arms.
I smiled softly, looking down a little bit.
Despite the world being full of Superpowers, of Heroes and Villains, its easy to forget that despite all of that, the world is made of just...people.
God, I was becoming a sappy shit, wasn't I? Maybe I should write a book or something; 'Of Quirks and People'.
I am quite interested in Quirks, considering I lived a life without one. It would be fun to write something about how a society full of superpowers can affect how people interact with one another.
Not only that, but also how about Quirks must have warped peoples view of sexual attraction.
Actually...that doesn't sound so bad-
"Move! Get out of the- gyah! Move! Please MOVE!"
Looking backwards, I couldn't help but raise a brow as I saw a white haired girl on fire...
And then I realized that it wasn't normal fire, but the girl was being covered in Blue Fire, and she ran straight through me, pushing me out of the way.
Oh, it might be time to mention that me and Aoi weren't in the town right now. I decided to take her on a peaceful walk through the woods, there was a pretty cool river nearby.
I'm sure if we were in the town, then a Hero would've stopped this...girl. Because I doubt she's a Villain, do Villain's tell people to move?
Also, it was Aoi's birthday, so I wanted to do something nice for her.
My eyes widened as I saw the girl just barely move out of the way of Aoi, screaming in...agony.
I looked at my skin, it seemed to have burned at just the slightest bit of contact with the flaming girl.
But I didn't care about that, that girl couldn't have been more than what...five years older than me?
She was a child. And she was in pain.
"Kasei!"
Aoi's voice fell on death ears as I chased after the girl. It was at this point that I realized that she wasn't on fire.
Well, she was. But at the same time...
This was caused by her Quirk. Her body couldn't contain her power. I've read theories with my limited computer access that those who restrict their Quirks usually have it come out in violent bursts.
I've even seen the famous 'Quirk Singularity Theory' that everybody loves, where there will come a point where the Human body will break down, not being able to handle the power of Quirks as they evolved far faster than us.
"Hey! Hey! Slow down, you're hurting yourself! Please-!"
I raised my hand forward, reaching outwards even though I was so far behind the girl.
The forest was slowly being filled with the horrible scent of carbon dioxide, I winced at the smell, but kept running after the white haired woman.
"Get away! Don't be a hero- please! Don't come near me! I don't want- I don't want to..."
The skin on her cheeks drooped, and my eyes widened, she was...melting.
This kid was dying to her own power.
"NO! I won't just let you die! I can't, I have to do something!"
I cried out over the roaring of flames, the girl had tears in her eyes, but they quickly became nothing more than vapor.
And then she fell down, her hands clawing the ground as Blue Flames exploded out of her body from every pore.
"No..."
My eyes widened as I heard a scream that would haunt my nightmares for a long, long time.
I don't know why I did what I did next.
Maybe I just wasn't thinking, maybe, maybe...
Maybe I just wanted to save her.
And so I jumped into the flames, and I wrapped my arms around the girl. I felt for her Quirk.
"Hahh..." I breathed inwards in shock.
I've never seen a Quirk so...bright before, so powerful. It was breathtaking.
I closed my eyes as I felt an intense heat wash over my body, I could feel my skin bubbling because of the supernova-hot flames.
And then...
I Upgraded her Quirk.
I...I gave her Fire Resistance, because I knew that her own Quirk hurt her, so I decided to make it so it wouldn't.
"Haaah- wha..."
The flames didn't just magically stop, but they did dim, by a lot.
I was gritting my teeth as hard as I could, still hugging this girl as tightly as possible.
Despite the pain I felt, despite the burning and what felt like my imminent death...
I smiled.
"Oh- oh my God! No...no! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to- no!"
I felt the continuous heat suddenly stop, the girl's bright blue eyes looked at me.
My smile softened as I felt myself drop from her back, her eyes...they were just like fire, dancing beautifully.
Her face heated slightly- and not because of her Quirk. Did I say that out loud?
"God, I need- you need an ambulance! I'm so sorry, oh no...my Quirk hurts me, or it did? You did something to me, it doesn't hurt as much as before..."
The girl was talking so fast I could barely understand her, or was that because of the blackness that was invading my vision?
My lips moved, but for some reason I couldn't hear myself as I talked.
"You're rambling." Is what I wanted to say, but all I could hear is a ringing in my ears.
And then I saw somebody barge into the white haired girl, a girl with black hair that descended into blue.
...Aoi? She was hitting the girl.
I moved my lips, but this time I know nothing came out.
She suddenly turned to look at me, I could see tears in her eyes, her lips trembling.
I raised my hand, and she was supporting my arm...I rubbed a tear away from her eye.
But then I felt something. I felt a connection, my eyes widened just a little bit.
Aoi, she had...
"Quirk..."
I murmered, the ringing in my ears suddenly intensified as I winced, but I pushed through. I smiled bigger than before.
Aoi had a Quirk, that is...that's amazing.
I instinctively looked at what I could Upgrade, and while there wasn't a box that told me anything, I could 'feel' what Upgrade I could give her.
And her Quirk was...water based? I raised my hand again, to press my fingers against her forehead, in a very Itachi-like manner.
No, Water Healing. I smiled, I upgraded her healing power.
And before I passed out, noticing her flowing tears, Aoi's face suddenly so much closer to mine, I murmered one last word.
"...heal."
Her name is Touya Todoroki...
Yes, that Todoroki. The Daughter of Endeavor, as nobody seems to remember her name.
She's always hated that. Whenever people talk about her, it's also always about him.
Him, him, him.
Why is it never about her?! Why...
This must by how he feels about All Might, always living in his shadow. It's horrible.
Her very existence is because of All Might.
Because she, and she alone is the arrow that will shoot past All Might.
Except, no. Not anymore. Because Endeavor has another child, one who he deems much more powerful than her.
He isn't wrong.
And she isn't angry. Touya isn't angry at her sister, she's...sad, angry at Endeavor, no child should be forced to fight and train everyday.
It was a normal day, or so it seemed. Touya was recovering from her wounds, and...and then-
Endeavor had grabbed her split-haired sister by the hair, and was dragging her towards the training room.
Touya's rage reached its limit- no, it went passed that.
"You said that as long as I train, Shoto won't have to."
She snarled out, standing in front of her incredibly tall father. It showed courage to stand in the way of the Number Two hero, or was it stupidity instead?
The man on fire snorted.
"Have you recovered from your latest self-inflicted burns?" He raised a challenging eyebrow, before turning away, her sister in hand.
"I can't control that my Quirk hurts me."
She said, grabbing the mans arm, but with how small her hand was, it didn't stop the Hero. But he humoured her.
By that, of course that means;
"You are a disappointment. Shoto will be the one to surpass him." He growled, lifting his hand in warning.
To Touya's credit, she didn't wince. But maybe that was because she was so fucking mad.
Blue Flames came to life around her hand, and she snarled, teeth bared, like an animal.
Her rage reached its Apex.
"No, no no no. I won't let you. You will not abuse my sister ANYMORE!"
Cremation roared to life, exploding wildly out of her arm, reaching up past her elbow.
Endeavors eyes widened, before he threw Shoto to the ground, who's own eyes were shaking with terror, fear for Touya. Fear of Touya.
"You will NOT SPEAK TO YOUR FATHER THAT WAY!"
Endeavor slapped Touya, and she was sent flying meters back, impacting the wooden wall of their traditionalistic Japanese home.
Landing on her knees, she gasped for air, holding her face in shock.
"My...father?"
Her Blue Flames licked at her face, and she looked up at him, a manic grin on her face, which didn't suit her with the almost-infinite rage that was in her eyes.
"You don't have the right to call yourself that!"
Standing up, she charged at the man, her Fire covering her entire body as she wildly lashed out at her surroundings.
"No- you're not my dad. You created me. I'm just your failed creation, RIGHT?! Look at me, ARE YOU PROUD OF ME, DADDY?!"
Oh god...
Enji watched with dreadful fear as Touya stood up, limping slightly as Blue Flames roared, a personification of his daughters rage.
...her rage. Directed towards him.
Why did it take him this long to realize this? To finally reach the epiphany that...that his first daughter, Touya, hated him?!
Enji had failed as a father. And nowhere was it as obvious as right now.
He stood there and took the abuse from his oldest daughter as she punched him and kicked, and even threw fire.
Oh, flame breath? He recalled his cousin, Hisashi, being able to do that...
She may have not realized it in the moment, but he didn't fight back, only defended. He never struck back.
And in his eyes...were tears. His face the opposite of hers. She was filled with raw anger, and he was full of nothing but sadness.
It was after a few minutes that he realized something was wrong, she'd stopped hitting him, but she was still screaming.
...Touya was being hurt. Her Quirk was hurting her again.
No, not anymore!
"Touya, listen to–" He raised his hand to reach out to her, but she winced. And he hesitated then.
No child should wince at their parent.
A cold dread washed over him as she looked at him in fear, and then she ran off, a trail of blue fire was left in her wake.
Enji Todoroki fell to his knees.
Rei Todoroki looked down from a window, her beautiful, snow-white hair disheveled with madness.
Her eyes were sunken, and yet...yet it held a glimmer of hope.
Was it awful to be happy her husband to be so sad? Of course it was.
Yet it showed her, and him too, that he still had some humanity within him.
She smiled, and a little girl, with bright red hair, and gray eyes looked at her with a tilted head, before smiling too, and hugging her mother, even as she cried a little too.
Her name was Aoi...just Aoi, she was an Orphan. Just like every other kid at the Orphanage, that's why it's called a–
Sigh...thats not funny, is it?
Gah, that's why Kasei-nii always makes the jokes, he's so funny, and cool, and strong!
Hmph, it's just not fair!
And why was he making her walk so much on her birthday? Ugh, he's not fair!
She could be figuring out her Quirk, but no, she has to walk through a forest.
And he's being so mean, too! Kasei-nii knows not to pat her head- even if she does like it.
Hmph!
Aoi ran ahead slightly, and turned around with crossed arms, smirking even as she blushed slightly.
...and then it happened.
A ball of Blue barreled through Kasei, wait, that wasn't just blue...it was, it was fire? Woah, Aoi had never seen Blue fire before!
She blinked as the person inside the fire moved around her, screaming as they ran away.
Oh...was that girl on fire?!
She looked towards Kasei to ask him to get a Hero or something, but suddenly he blitzed passed her, the last thing she saw was his grim expression.
She'd never seen her brother-not-brother doing anything but smile before.
It was scary.
After a moment of stunned silence, Aoi suddenly scrambled upwards, realizing something.
He just left her, all alone, in a massive forest.
"Kasei-nii!"
...
It took a while to find him, but when she found him, she saw the girl who was on fire leaning over her brother, and Kasei was...
Oh god, he looked like shit.
Aoi didn't realize it at first, but she had tackled the girl without thinking, hitting her with tears in her eyes.
How could she...she was a villain! How could she hurt somebody as sweet, and as kind, and as awesome as Kasei?!
Aoi wasn't thinking straight as she attacked the girl who could probably just straight up burn her alive.
...and then she heard some mumbling from Kasei. Her head snapped towards him, and her lips twitched in sadness.
"Shh- shhh, please don't say anyrhing!"
She said, going up to him, crouching over his chest.
He tried to raise an arm up to her, and she helped him, holding him, and smiling sadly as he wiped a tear from her eye.
She nuzzled into his palm-
"...Quirk."
-Huh? What...what did he mean by 'Quirk'?
He moved his hand again, and she helped him again as he pressed two fingers against her forehead.
She gasped a little bit, an unfamiliar feeling settling in her gut. It felt weird, yet strangely natural.
"Heal..."
Her eyes widened. And in that moment, she nodded. She understood.
The sounds of crashing waves reached her ears, and then...Aoi closed her eyes.
Her feet gracefully danced along the dirt as she strode forward, and then she took a step into the river. Yet she didn't flinch at its coldness.
She turned around, and began to flow her hands, backwards and forwards, backwards and forwards.
Like the way the Moon moved the Waves, so did Aoi.
And then two small Tsunamis' overtook Kasei...as well as the white haired girl. The girl blinked in shock, gargling on the water.
Yet, Aoi knew she wouldn't drown.
And so she dragged them both into the water, working off of pure instinct.
Deep in the water, a dim glow began to shine, before it got brighter, and brighter. Until it became blinding.
And then...
*Splash!*
Aoi fell face first into the flowing river, unconscious.
WOohoo! Second chapter completed. How was it? I think I did pretty good! I'd love to hear your opinions, and what I could improve in the Reviews.
My Question today, I suppose...would you like to see any crossover characters? I already have a few planned.
But for example, would you like to see somebody like Yoriichi, who's Quirk would be something like Sun Breath, or Transparent World, or both. Or something like...Toph, where she has Earth Bending as her Quirk. I'd love to hear your ideas!
