Those of you who are liking Abbie's story so far...I'm sorry in advance lol.

DISCLAIMER: I do NOT own Power Rangers: Dino Thunder (though I wish I did lol). I only own the original characters you will see in this story.

Enjoy!

~Abbie's POV~

"Dr. O, before you go off, can we explain why we're here?" Ethan asked as I came back to reality.

"Dude, he's just going to laugh when we tell him," Connor said.

"Try him," I said, sighing as I had a feeling I knew why they showed up. They looked at me and seemed surprised, which made me roll my eyes. "Yes, I knew what this place was! Now can we move on!"

"Alright," Connor began, "Kira's gone."

"She got taken by these weird dinosaur things," Ethan added. I knew something was up. And I'm sure my uncle was shocked to hear this. Though, he didn't show it that well.

"He doesn't look convinced," Connor said.

"They're called Tyranno-drones," Uncle Tommy said, turning away from the two boys.

"And you know that because...?" Ethan asked.

"I helped create them."

"Okay, I didn't know that," I said, making him grin at me. That was always his way of saying he was sorry to keep something like that from me. I grinned back, winking to let him know it was okay.

"Oh, class project?" Ethan asked.

"It's a long story," Uncle Tommy answered, turning back around to look at them. "Right now, we have to figure out what they want with Kira."

"It might have something to do with these," Connor said, pulling out the red gem from his pocket. I stared in surprise as I could see my uncle's surprise as well. This time it wasn't hidden.

"I told you not to touch these, Abigail," Uncle Tommy said as Ethan gave him the yellow gem that Kira had, as well as the blue one. Connor gave up the red one as well.

"I was trying to keep your cover!" I yelled back. "I was only playing along! Couldn't let them know I was the "freak" that lived here!" He stared at me, hurt that I said freak. "Kira's words, not mine. And don't be hurt, she didn't know."

He sighed as he held onto the yellow gem.

"We're really sorry," Connor said. "How were we supposed to know those things had, like, superpowers in them and those lizard dudes were going to come looking for them?"

"That's the thing," I said, getting their eyes on me. "I knew that...and I let you, Connor, talk me into taking one!" I pulled out the purple gem and slapped it on the table next to me before crossing my arms.

"But I guess it isn't exactly something you see every day," Uncle Tommy said.

"Sort of like a science teacher with the ruins of an ancient civilization under his house," Ethan remarked, making me snort back a laugh.

"Like, not that this isn't all really cool, but," Connor began, "seriously, dude, you've got to come clean." I perked up at the 'dude' comment. Did Connor really have no respect for teachers?

"Okay, first of all, don't call me dude," Uncle Tommy said. "Second, as hard as this may seem, you two need to forget all about this. I'll find Kira." He turned to walk away when I blinked and Connor was right in front of him again. I jumped as I fell on my butt startled.

"Holy crap, man! Warn a girl next time!" I yelled getting a chuckle from Ethan as he helped me up.

"The gem's powers are already starting to bond with you," Uncle Tommy said.

"You can tell us all about it now, or at my next parent-teacher conference," Connor said.

hi

Uncle Tommy sighed as he pulled out his keys. "I'll drive."

"So, when you said you helped create those Tyranno...whatevers, you were just kidding, right?" Ethan asked. He was in the front seat while Connor and I were in the back. I was so worried about Kira that I didn't protest. And it seemed Connor was just as worried.

"They weren't supposed to be used like this," Uncle Tommy said. "Someone's modified their programming. A few years back, I was doing research on combining dinosaur DNA with technology. My partner, a scientist named Anton Mercer..."

"The rich guy that disappeared years ago," Ethan said.

"Yep," Uncle Tommy confirmed. "Shortly after Mercer disappeared, our lab was attacked. All of our research was destroyed. Or so I thought it was."

"And the guy who did this is back?" Connor asked.

"He calls himself Mesagog," Uncle Tommy said as we stopped at a stop sign. I perked up at that name, seeing a flash of the dinosaur-monster-guy in my brain again.

"Would he look like a dinosaur combined with a human?" I asked, getting a look from Connor. "What? One of my powers is being a psychic!"

"Yeah, that's him," Uncle Tommy said, making me sigh with even more worry than ever.

"And you think he's after the gems?" Connor asked again.

"Looks like it," Uncle Tommy said.

"This is all totally fascinating, but how is this helping us find Kira?" Ethan asked. "I mean she's not going to fall out of the sky and right in front of us."

As if on cue, Kira landed on the hood of Uncle Tommy's car, coming from a green flash of light. I stared in surprise like the others as she looked up at them, surprise etched on her face as well. We paused for a moment before Ethan immediately unbuckled his seatbelt with Uncle Tommy and all of us got out of the car as we helped Kira get off.

"How did you do that?" Ethan asked amazed.

"I have no idea," Kira said. "One minute I'm being chased by franken-lizard in his creepy lab, and the next thing I know, I'm a hood ornament."

"Invis-a-portals," Uncle Tommy said.

"Whatever," Kira said. "Next time, I'm calling a cab." She then looked confused. "What are you guys doing here?"

"We came to rescue you," Ethan said.

"Nice job," Kira said. "Way to show up when I don't need you anymore."

As if on cue yet again, more enemies popped out of the sky and walked toward us. I looked at them, getting in a stance as I could feel the power in me soar.

"Are you sure about that?" Connor asked as they all looked over now, seeing the threat was getting closer.

"Mesagog find a new goon to do his dirty work?" Uncle Tommy asked sarcastically.

"You are not fit to speak my master's name," The robot-looking guy said. "Come with me peacefully, or suffer the consequences."

"We're gonna have to say: no," I said with a smirk, causing the battle to begin.

I back-flipped out of the way quickly, hitting one of the Tyranno-drones in the face with my foot. I kicked and punched and fought the best I could. But sadly, some got the best of me and tossed me into a tree.

"Abbie!" I heard Uncle Tommy call out to me as he was fighting.

"I'm fine!" I called back, standing up and getting into a new stance. "Time to burn." I let my eyes glow with the golden color they were earlier today, and I breathed the fire out of my mouth. It charred and burned up the group I was fighting, and when it was done, they disappeared. I stopped the fire and smiled with confidence.

"Now that's what I call a barbecue," I said.

"You're no match for me!" I heard that deep voice, causing my smile to fall as I looked over to see the robot was about to use his ax on my uncle, making me race over and form an ice shield. The weapon bounced off the ice and I stood in front of my uncle, the shield breaking on impact.

"How about me?!" I said, charging forward as he backed away somewhat. I did a front flip before punching him and kicking him, causing him to fall back some more. He then stood there, staring at me. I couldn't tell what he looked like since he had a helmet on his head but from his posture...I think he was surprised.

"Who are you?" He asked.

"Not telling," I said. He growled at my comment.

"Make sure you tell your master," I began with a smirk as I stood up straight, "Dr. Oliver is back."

"I'll inform him that this battle is over, but the war has only just begun," He said before disappearing in an invis-a-portal.

"Huh? That's the best he could do?" Ethan said as we all started to walk back to the car.

"Let's get out of here. It's getting late," Uncle Tommy said. "I don't want your parents to worry."

"I bet you don't," Connor said. "You might have to explain something."

"I'll fill you in tomorrow after school," Uncle Tommy said. "I promise."

Eventually, they all got in the car, but Uncle Tommy stopped me and looked at me. He was smiling, almost like a proud father.

"Thanks for the backup there," He said.

"Sure thing, Uncle Tommy," I said in return. "You've always had my back. Now I need to have yours." He smiled more as he patted my back and let me get in the car. I sat next to Kira, who was in the middle between me and Connor. Thank God.

"Girl, your powers are so cool," Kira said, making me giggle.

"Thanks. I'm glad you're okay," I said.

"Thanks," Kira said. "Me, too."

The following day started like any other day. Woke up, got ready, and went to school.

However...being one who's psychic...

I took a deep breath as I walked into the room, seeing Cassidy pulling out a compact mirror as Kira went to sit down in her seat. I followed after her as I heard Uncle Tommy behind me, closing the door.

"What did you say to Cassidy?" I asked as I sat beside her.

"I said she looked pasty," Kira answered, making me snort as Uncle Tommy spoke up to the young news anchor.

"Cassidy," She looked at him. "Unless you plan on giving a lecture on the Mesozoic period, I suggest you take your seat." She chuckled nervously before sitting down. "Thank you." Uncle Tommy soon opened his notes before I gasped in surprise, grabbing the table in shock.

"You can tell me when it all began?" Uncle Tommy asked as a rumble hit the earth, making everyone freak out as they grab their tables. Lights turned on and off before the sky outside turned dark. And eventually, the emergency lights turned on and everyone ran to the window to check out what was going on.

I, however, got up and raced out of the room.

I ran down the halls, heading outside as thunder and lightning shocked the sky. I watched as I heard something roar off in the distance. There was even a screech up above. Fear coursed through me like electrical currents. Was this really happening?

I spun in each direction, wondering where to go to hide when a head of white hair caught my eye. He wore a black hoodie and an icy blue mask covering his identity. He was staring at the sky, watching as lightning cracked through it.

That is...until his eyes met mine.

Time seemed to slow down. Silence echoed around me. I couldn't bring myself to look away. They were so blue. They sparkled in the darkness, almost like they were glowing.

Though...they seemed familiar to me.

"Abbie!" I turned to the voice, seeing Uncle Tommy with Connor, Ethan, and Kira walking to his car. "Let's go!" I looked back at the boy with white hair, but he wasn't there anymore. It was like he vanished out of thin air. I wish I knew who he was. But my friends needed me. I needed to stay focused so I could help them.

So, I took a deep breath and rushed over to my uncle and friends, and got in the car.

"So, these mechanical dinosaurs - they're your friends?" Kira asked as we walked down into Uncle Tommy's hidden lair. He had just put us in the loop of what was going on. He told me he overheard Devin talk about what Kira just mentioned.

"Biozords," Yeah...those. "Fusion-powered replicants using actual dinosaur DNA for their neurofunctions." Uncle Tommy continued.

"Wait, let me guess," Ethan began, "you helped build them."

"I'm afraid so," Uncle Tommy confirmed. "But right now, we - I mean, YOU have to tame them." My eyes widened in shock.

...

Excuse me?!

"I'll B.B.L if it's all the same to you," Ethan stated, making me look at him with confusion.

"Huh?!" I asked.

"Be back later," Ethan clarified as he went to leave when-

"Ethan, wait," Uncle Tommy said, making him stop in his tracks. "You can do this. But you won't have to do it alone." I watched as my uncle walked around Ethan and towards a table with a silver case on top of it. "Ever since I found the Dino Gems, I've had these waiting, in case I ever needed to harness their powers."

"Into what?" Kira asked.

He opened the case, revealing three different colored morphers with three different dinosaur heads. The yellow one had a pterodactyl head, the blue had a triceratops, and the red had a t-rex.

...

Wait...three?

"Dinomorphers," Uncle Tommy said. "Use these to become Power Rangers."

...

"I got to sit down," Ethan said as he was about to fall when Connor caught him.

"Breathe, dude," He said.

"We can't be Power Rangers," Kira said with surprise. "Aren't you supposed to fly or have superhuman strength and stuff like that?" I gave her a weird look.

"You do," Uncle Tommy said.

"Oh, yeah, I forgot."

"Your gems are from the asteroid that crashed into the earth millions of years ago, wiping out the entire dinosaur population," Uncle Tommy continued. "When I found them, I recognized their power and hid them, so they wouldn't fall into the wrong hands."

"How do you know these are the right hands?" Connor asked.

"The gems are yours. You didn't choose them, they chose you," Uncle Tommy said.

"Can't they unchoose us?" Kira asked.

"Oh, my, gosh!" I yelled, making them all look at me. "This should be an honor to you guys! Being a Power Ranger is like being known as royalty! Being a Power Ranger is like being your favorite superhero! Or your favorite rock star!" The trio just stared at me, emotions going wild in their eyes. "I know it's a lot to ask, but...the world needs you."

"Plus, the gems already bonded with your DNA," Uncle Tommy explained as he walked back to the monitors. "That's what's giving you your powers."

"So, if they already bonded with us, how come Mesogog and his creeps are still after them?" Ethan asked.

Uncle Tommy looked at them, saddened that he had to give this knowledge, I could tell. Heck, I didn't want them to know it. But...Ethan asked.

"The only way these powers can be taken away," Uncle Tommy began, "is if you're destroyed."

...

"Okay, for future reference, that's not a great selling point," Ethan said, making me scoff.

"I would have said something, but I didn't want to freak you three out," I said.

"Look, all I know is, I don't remember asking to be a superhero," Connor said, making me give him a look. He looked at me, slinking back as fear entered his face. My eyes...they must be gold.

"The gems wouldn't have bonded with you if you didn't already have something inside you that could handle the power," Uncle Tommy said, walking back to the opened case. "Please."

I watched the trio closely, waiting to see what they would do as I walked to the side of the table. Hesitancy was present in their movements, but eventually...they each grabbed their morpher. I grinned, glad to see they decided to help after all.

"So now what?" Ethan asked. "Do we need some kind of secret password or command?"

"All you have to do is say "Dino Thunder, Power Up" and you'll be transformed," Uncle Tommy said. "You'll know what to do."

"Dino Thunder," Connor stated. "What, did you come up with that?" He gestured to Ethan.

"I kind of like it," Ethan said.

"You would," Connor retorted.

"Look, I know you three are from different worlds, I get it," Uncle Tommy began, "But you're going to have to work together, or this will never happen. This won't be easy, nobody knows that better than I do. But you're going to have to believe in yourselves because I believe in you."

"Really?" Connor asked.

"Really," Uncle Tommy confirmed.

"By the way, I could have sworn I got one, as well?" I retorted, gesturing to the case that was now empty.

"Oh, yeah! Where's Abbie's?" Kira asked confused.

"Abigail, I don't-"

"Uncle Tommy, you know what I can do!" I exclaimed. "You know I'm not a normal girl! I can do this!" He looked at me, with worry and fear on his face. I get why he was scared to let me have my gem. Losing my mother, his sister, the way we didn't leave much room for growth with me.

But with a simple sigh, he opened a hidden drawer in the lid of the case and showed me the purple gem. But, it was different from the others. It wasn't on a wristband or in a dino-shaped head. It was just the simple gem I picked up.

I reached into the drawer and pulled it out, looking at my uncle for a moment before he gestured to my dragon pendant.

"When I gave that to you, I had a feeling you would be chosen to be a part of a team like this," He said. "And I was right. I just...wasn't ready to let you live a life this dangerous." I grinned at him.

"I promise, Uncle Tommy," I began, "I know what to do. Besides...I learned from the best." With that, I set the gem inside the pendant and immediately felt its power soar through my body.

"Okay! This is it!" Uncle Tommy exclaimed after a long drive to the fight. We quickly hopped out of the car and stood in shock as three biozords bounded through the area.

...

What is it with me being forgotten?!

"That must be them!" Connor exclaimed.

"Wow, good call, Connor!" Kira retorted sarcastically.

Just at that moment, the...robot? I actually don't know what he was. But, regardless, he showed back up and we immediately got into a stance.

"You'll have to get past me before you get those zords," He said, his deep voice sending a twinge of fear down my spine. His voice was the voice that haunted my nightmares.

"That's the part I'm looking forward to," Connor said.

"You guys ready?" Ethan asked.

"Oh, yeah," Kira returned.

"Ready as I'll ever be," I smirked as the trio raised their arms, revealing their morphers, while I made my pendant glow, before...

"Dino Thunder, Power Up! HAH!"

Eventually, the three of them were transformed into their Ranger forms. Kira was the yellow ranger, with a helmet that looked like a Pterodactyl head. Ethan was the blue ranger with a similar suit to Kira's, only without the skirt and his helmet looked like a Triceratops head. And Connor was the red ranger with a helmet that looked like a T-Rex head.

Me, however...

"Whoa!" "This totally ROCKS!" "OH YEAH!" Connor, Ethan, and Kira said at the same time.

"So, you're Power Rangers," The guy said with a clenched fist.

"Call your weapons," Uncle Tommy yelled. "They're in your belt!"

"You go it, Dr. O!" Connor yelled. "Whoa!" Immediately after, each of their weapons showed up in a flash of light. Connor had a Tyranno Staff, Kira had Ptera Grips, and Ethan had a Tricera Shield.

"Enough!" The guy yelled, making more Tyranno Drones appear and my friends ran off to fight them.

"Uh, Uncle Tommy" I began as I walked up to my Uncle. "Why didn't I transform?"

"You must have a different morphing phrase," He said. "I could have sworn you had a dinosaur."

"Wait," I said. "There's no Biozord for me to tame here either!" I felt the power flow in me, my pendant glowing brighter. "Uncle Tommy, who am I if I'm not a Power Ranger!?"

"I don't know, kiddo," Uncle Tommy said. "But if I'm being completely honest, being a Power Ranger is dangerous work! Trust me...I know."

"But I was given these powers for a reason!" I yelled, turning back to watch my new friends fight off the Tyranno Drones. Fear coursed through my veins as the thought of even having useless powers crept into my mind.

Who was I if I couldn't use my powers for good?

"Abbie!" I turned to my uncle. "You are powerful. You don't need a Ranger suit to make a difference."

"I know, Uncle Tommy, but-" At that moment, my pendant glowed brighter and brighter. I took a few steps back, looking back at my friend's battle when...

"Dragon Stone..."

...

"...Thunderstorm."

...

Did my pendant just speak to me?

...

Whatever, I'm trying it!

"Dragon Stone, THUNDERSTORM!"

And with that, I was engulfed in light. It swirled and swayed around me like ribbons. A warmth I could only feel whenever I used my powers spread around me. And...before I knew it...it stopped. I looked down, seeing my new look.

It was a purple bodysuit with black platform boots and gloves. A black belt with my pendant in the center was around my waist. I would have freaked out that I was INDEED a Power Ranger, but seeing my hair fall over my shoulder took that away from me.

"Whoa," I looked at my uncle. "You are definitely not a normal Power Ranger, Abbie."

I swung my hand to my face and felt a mask over my eyes. Uncle Tommy was right...and I was ready to fight.

I raced into the fight and shot some of my fire ability from the palm of my hand at one of the Tyranno Drones from Connor. He looked at me, and I smirked as I flipped my hair off my shoulder.

"I'm no typical girl there, boy," I said before racing off and kicking some Tyranno Drone butt.

We raced up to Ethan after he got hit by the robot guy (that's what I'm calling him) before we got hit by another one of his attacks. I got backed into the wall while the others were still on the ground.

"Rangers!" I looked toward the voice, seeing Uncle Tommy staring with concern. "Combine your weapons!"

"Right!" Connor exclaimed as he stood up with the others. I didn't have a weapon so I ran over to my uncle as the trio did what they were told and shot a beam at the robot guy. The blast hit him, but he just got blasted to the ground.

"Good job, guys!" I yelled as I raced back in, standing beside Kira.

"You showed me your weapons," The robot guy said as he stood up. "Now meet mine!" He then disappeared for a moment right as the Biozords screeched and roared. We raced over to Uncle Tommy, watching as a ship flew above us.

"Whoa!" I exclaimed before feeling explosions around us thanks to the ship above. I quickly flew forward and tumbled as my uncle and friends fell to the ground. I then quickly stood up and sent a gust of wind and air toward the ship. But it didn't do much damage.

"Okay, how do we fight that!?" Connor asked as well as raced over to Uncle Tommy's car.

"You gotta tame the zords. Concentrate," Uncle Tommy said. "Your morphers will communicate your thoughts to them."

"Wait, there are only three zords though!" Kira said, looking at me. I shook my head.

"I'm not a normal Power Ranger. I'll do what I can down here, but you guys need to fight with the zords," I said.

"Let's go!" Connor said, racing in with the others. I watched from the sidelines with Uncle Tommy.

"Look at that!" Connor exclaimed. "They're huge! Whoa!"

"So, you got a name for your hero form?" Uncle Tommy asked, making me look at him with surprise.

"Uh, no. I think we're busy with something right now!" I said, making him chuckle at my remark.

"Good point," He said. "But, it seems this form of yours likes purple." He smirked, making me roll my eyes before pausing at the sight of a white hair off in the distance. His eyes were on mine, bright and blue, though hidden behind a mask.

His cape blew in the breeze...before he ran.

"Tell them I wish them luck," I said. "And keep your phone with you." And then I ran off after the guy.

"Hey, wait!" I heard Uncle Tommy, but I couldn't stop and listen to him. I had to see what was going on with this guy. This was the second time I'd seen him and I wanted to know what he was about.

I kept chasing him before I found myself in the forest, stopping and back-flipping out of the way of an ice shield aimed at me. I landed on my feet and stared at him, surprised.

"So, ice magic! Is that all you have?!" I yelled. "And who even are you?!"

"They call me Maschero," he said. "I work for Mesogog." Unfortunately, I heard his thoughts. "I'm warning you...stay back."

And then he was gone.

"Wait!" I sighed, placing a hand on my chest in the spot my pendant would be. "If you don't like where you're at, then why not leave?" I turned back right as an explosion sounded off in the distance. I quickly perked up and raced back, stopping as I watched the Megazord celebrate. Uncle Tommy was laughing at the little jig it was doing, making me giggle in return.

They won their first fight. Now their journey has just begun.

Back in the "Dino Lair" (as I heard Ethan call it), Uncle Tommy had the Dino Morphers get changed into what looked like normal silver wristbands with the Dino Gems in the center and a little tube on one side that was the same color of the gem. I didn't need that done since my pendant was my morpher.

"Keep these bracelets with you at all times," Uncle Tommy said as he offered them back inside the case. "They'll access your morphers when you need them, and you can use them to communicate with me and with each other."

"Dr. O, I know you're real smart and a science teacher and everything, but this is...well, I mean, how did you-?" Kira started to ask.

"I'll fill you in, in time," Uncle Tommy said.

"Speaking of time," Ethan spoke up. "You think Mesogog's going to stick around for a while?"

"Unfortunately, they always do," Uncle Tommy said, making me perk up at that remark.

"They?" Connor retorted.

"I know this is a lot to take in," Uncle Tommy said.

"That's for sure," Ethan remarked.

"Your lives have just changed in ways you probably couldn't have imagined," Uncle Tommy continued. "But as long as you work together, and remember you're a team, no one can defeat you." I grinned, walking up to my new friends and placing a hand on my pendant...or maybe I should call this my amulet now.

"No one."

Up in my room that night, I decided to get some air before falling asleep. I had my window opened and I was sitting on my bed as I leaned on the windowsill. I stared up at the stars and the crescent moon, watching as it smiled down at me. I grinned, breathing in the fresh pine air, and listened to the crickets off in the distance.

Something about today felt special (not just because I became a superhero), but because I made new friends who found my powers exciting and cool. Any friend I met back when I was a kid, I kept them a secret, and I never even had to pull them out for anything dangerous.

But I had trained in quiet...and I was ready for this battle.

"Mesogog," I said, sitting up in a regal manner before I stared into the distance. "Bring it on."

Thanks for reading!

I almost made Abbie like Sailor Moon (lol), but I decided against it. I hope you all like this angle I went with my OC.

Anyway, have a wonderful day and/or night, an early Happy Halloween, and remember: don't just write a story, paint a picture.

Peace!
