Days Later at the Owl House…

The scouts were on edge today.

Normally, they were quite used to spying and protecting the princess in secret, chatting up with the owl creature thing, though they didn't like it at the beginning, it kind of grew on them. It became a day-to-day life for them as it was a high honor and easy pay. Who knew that Belos was a Daddy? Yes, he often took care of his many nephews, one of them left and got married to Mayor Kneebile at Kneecropolis, which you guessed was founded at The Knee and is the only city there. But they still, never knew that the emperor could still reproduce after all this time. He has ruled for sixty years and fought for this land for a hundred.

Most think he would be sterile by now.

Yes, Princess Lazura, a human from another world born from a love that was never meant to be but often dreamt of. Such a sweet little thing with dreams of becoming a witch like her old man and following in her father's footsteps. It only felt like a waste that the owl lady was the one to teach such royalty. Anyways, the reason that they felt nervous was the incoming weather. There was word that there would be boiling rain coming and they didn't want to be there when it comes. Thankfully, there would be a team that specializes in this type of weather coming to replace them in a few moments.

They didn't want to be burned alive; those clouds are pretty scary. The feel of boiling rain was like being cooked alive slowly and being drenched in acid at the same time. There were the case people didn't get out in time and were found as skeletons, trying to find shelter.

"Hey, This is the BRSD (Boiling Rain Specialist Division), we're here to keep an eye on the kid." A group below them in special armor informed the scouts, and they sighed.

"Thank you, we are leaving before the rain catches up with us." They breathed as the group was sliding down or floating down the trees and bolting.

The BRSD then took the positions of the scouting group in the trees as they cast spells to keep the trees from losing their branches.

"Hey there, new friends! What brings you to this neck of the woods? Hoot, Hoot?" Hooty greeted they were startled that he spotted them.

"What is that thing?" One of the questions.

"The Owl Lady's defense system, some type of demon worm. Gross." Another explained.

"I heard some of the scouts talk with this creature, apparently it can detect anything within fifty feet outside the house in a perimeter, has a ferocious appetite, and can stretch itself too far lengths." The leader of the group explained, "I can imagine many Beast Taming Coven Members want to learn more about this."

"Does sound rather interesting."

They all turned around to see the Palisman, Roasted Chicken, sitting on one of the branches and eating an apple.

"Looks like things are about to get a little rocky, today." He spoke again.

"We are honored to be in your presence. What brings you here, sir?" The leader bowed to the palisman.

"Just informing the princess's teacher about our little deal. The emperor is getting… impatient. Y'all can imagine how taxing it is to watch a man's daughter given a tutor and not be taught anything." He answered as he transformed into his chicken palisman form and glided down to the house.

Good timing too as Luz was going outside with her demon friend.

"Roasted Chicken?" The Princess recognized.

"Ooh, fresh meat~!" King swooned at the sight of the Rooster.

"I wouldn't be trying to eat me if I were you. I might taste bland." He spoke as he turned back into his human form, "Hey there, Chicken Little. How's cruising on the wild side? And speaking of wild… what are you doing here? You should be inside. It's not safe today."

"But it's going to rain."

"That's why it's not safe."

That would soon be seen as the rain came down and Luz was quickly burned by the hand, forcing the three of them to take shelter amid the Owl House. Luckily Eda soon arrived.

Inside the Owl House…

As Eda was getting cozy, looking a little sick, Roasted Chicken brought up the issue.

He gave them time alone when Eda wanted to explain how magic works, either by a bile sack or some other way. But Eda did not take up an interest in learning the other way. When Luz got a photo of the light spell, she left her be as King wanted to talk to her.

"So, what spell did our sweet little princess learn?" He questioned the witch who was disoriented.

"Well, I showed her the Light spell. So, she got a general idea…" She muttered as the Beast Tamer Palisman looked irritated.

"That is not what we are paying ya for. Owl Lady, you have until tomorrow to teach her at least one spell or you can forget the deal, which means forget your freedom." He warned in a cold tone, noticing the witch fell asleep, "Eda-!"

He then smelled something…

He knew this smell.

This is bad.

"This is the worst time for it to start acting up. No wonder, ya didn't have any energy. This is bad, better find the kids and get them-."

He then began to hear his growl, by pure instinct he summoned a whip similar to his type of style.

"This is just the cherry on top of a pretty rotten day. Let's see what you can do, Owl Beast of the Demon Realm." He growled as Hooty was starting to shiver at her transformation.

"Hoot… Hoot…"

"I better get extra feed for this. I may be a beast tamer, but this type of thing… ugh. This is an absolute nightmare in the making and I doubt the Boss will ever forgive me if I abandon her here."
