In Luz's Room…

Luz looked cheerful as she was going to try the elixir that could give her powers like Eda.

If this could give her great powers, then maybe she'll get a leg up in this world. Luz grinned as she was about to pop the contents into her mouth, they heard a loud scream and other strange sounds!

"What was that?" Luz gasped as King's pelt was stiffening up in fright.

"HOOT! HOOT! HELP ME! HOOT!" Hooty shrieked as there was also a sound of anguish from the palisman, Roasted Chicken!

"Hooty! Chicken!" Luz gasped as she and King were running down the steps.

There they found a monster, chewing on Hooty's door before fleeing into the boiling rain! Luz looked to see that the creature was gone but was still in the house as the window was broken!

Somewhere in the house…

Roasted Chicken was breathing hard as that scuffle with the Owl Beast was not a pleasant one to be had.

The palisman had studied, studied the vast species and races from different lifeforms on this world, and how they contribute to the ecosystem. All were heavily studied and documented with their unique abilities, habits, and many other interesting facts. Now, Belos and the original Beast Tamer Coven Head laid the groundwork for them. They just kept going.

Among the rare and exotic species, there were legends of the Great Beast of the Demon Realm. They were the original inhabitants born from the bloody and unknown conflict of the Titans. They were rumored to have great strengths and powers beyond comprehension. So far, only thirteen Beasts are known. Roasted Chicken only saw one of them, the embodiment of autumn, primal and nature, the Elk Beast. They were beyond the magic known and are wild creatures as Belos would often describe them as unpredictable and taxing to the mind if not left uncared for.

Chicken growled as he never thought this beast would be so strong. Not as powerful as the Elk, or thankfully the Spider, but still not to be trifled with.

He saw himself in the mirror and noticed that he got a nice cut on his cheek from the battle with the Owl Beast.

"Ugh! Look what it did to my face! Belos spent days giving it that just lustrous look!" He whined as he heard Luz scream, "Luz!"

He growled as his right eye glowed blue.

"Roasted Chicken, what is the meaning of this abrupt communication?" Belos questioned as the palisman's head buzzed.

"We gotta problem, the Owl Lady's gone full Owl Beast and Luz is trapped here with her buddies." He informed him as he got his whip.

"What? You have to do something! Find Luzura and escape! If you have to, put the owl beast down!"

"I'm already a step ahead of you. Don't worry, I'll find your daughter."

Roasted Chicken sighed as he looked at his whip. This was not his day was supposed to go. He should be home, nestled up in his coop and eating some gummy rats while playing guitar for the concert. Those lessons from Biscuit really helped out.

Where was he?

He heard Luz screaming again.

Oh right, Luz!

In another room…

It wasn't hard to track down Luz, who was thankfully still alive from the attack and unharmed.

It seemed that the snaggleback is the only creature that got eaten. Meh, better him than the girl. Luckily Luz was able to distract the Owl Beast with a plant, causing it to chase after it. Perfect time to drop down in his rooster form to her and the demon friend.

"Chicken, you're okay." She smiled.

"Come on, Luz. You think a beast is gonna be enough to beat the Beast Tamer Palisman? This is my rodeo." He pridefully squawked.

"Did you see Eda; she was all like 'gwaa!'. What happened to her?" Luz gasped to King and Chicken.

"Don't you see, the elixir I gave you doesn't give Eda powers! It prevents her from turning into that thing! She's turned into a nightmare and it's all my fault!" King answered.

"What Elixir?"

"I'm so sorry, Luz. I just wanted you to be into demons like you're into magic."

His heart hurt at the words of the creature, it was not an easy thing to be a demon in this world, one without any powers no less. All King wanted was to be respected and to help other demons like him. It was kind of sweet.

Luz was ready to learn about demons.

The first thing was that Black Eyed demons hate light.

That was when Luz figured out her first spell.

"Chicken, I'm going to need your help to save Eda." Luz requested from her father's palisman.

"Anything for you."

In the hallway…

Chicken was ready as Luz was getting ready for the spell.

The whip was burning with excitement in his hands as he could hear the creature coming! Time to do his thing! The whip was out and wrapped around the corner as Eda slipped and landed where the spell was!

"I'm sorry, Eda. But this is for your own good!"

At the Emperor's Palace…

Belos marveled at the little light his daughter made as he was thrilled about the success of his daughter's studies.

"She was able to defeat the Owl Beast with a massive Light Spell to incapacitate it, then learned how to make the elixir to heal her. Luckily, she didn't drink it herself. But she has learned two spells so far." He reported as his master looked pleased, being handed the elixir.

"Hmmph! At least she's doing something right. But Princess Luzura is simply naturally talented." Kikimora voiced her opinions with her arms crossed.

"Excellent, I knew my daughter had the touch. Though, I wished her not to be exposed with the Beasts of the Demon Realm so soon."

"You need to understand that there are certain things you can't shield the kids from. They'll just need you there to put things into context." Parfait explained as she was patching up her brother.

"You're right. I will arrive tomorrow and inform her of the beasts and… my own." Belos sighed as he didn't seem to notice a certain woman eavesdropping.
