NO. 7 THE WAY YOU SHAKE AND SHIVER

Prompts to choose from were "shaking hands/seizure/silent panic attack"

Quick note: season 3- no sparrow academy. Everything is back to "normal". As normal as it can get for the Academy. Lila is also with them.

TRIGGER WARNING: SA is referenced here (but not in detail in any way.)

It's been weeks and everything seems fine.

Lila was adapting very well in her new family situation.

She walked into the kitchen area to find Viktor cooking and Allison reading over a script of some sort. Lila sat down and grabbed the newspaper.

Five and Diego entered the room.

Diego went over to give Lila a kiss on the head.

"Five," Allison held up a little package. "This was in the storm door addressed to you."

The time traveler looked at her confused as he took the package. He walked over, grabbed himself a mug and poured some coffee while he also opened the package, which had a small box.

He opened the box and picked up the mug to drink its contents. On seeing it, he suddenly lost color in his cheeks and then swore as the coffee spilt onto his shirt.

The box dropped to the floor and a coin rolled out.

Allison quickly got up and ran over to assist him in cleaning it up.

"Are you alright?" She started to reach for the buttons of the shirt to help undo them and pull the part stained with hot liquid away from his skin.

Viktor had stepped away from the stove and started to wet a cloth.

But Five looked to Allison with fear in his eyes, backing away from her touch.

"Don't touch me…" he gasped out, blinking out of the room.

Allison looked to the others, and then down at the coin.

Diego took the coin and studied it. "Some German coin?" He suggested .

Hearing that, Lila reached out and snatched it from her boyfriend.

"It's mum's," she informed them. "A calling card of sorts."

"But she's…" Viktor started.

"Dead. Yes. But she would find a way to torment her little obsession."

Allison winced at that word. Lila saw her visible reaction. "Whatever you're thinking, you are probably right…" she sighed. "I never really wanted to admit it, but my mother was disturbingly consumed by everything and anything that had to do with Five. She spoke about him so often I often wondered…"

She stopped, and looked back at the siblings, who all had horrified looks on their faces.

"Yeah…" She sighed. "Look, why don't I talk to the lil' guy."

The silent agreements she received didn't give her much comfort. Lila couldn't tell if it was because they thought it was a good idea or because they wanted to avoid an uncomfortable conversation with Five.

He stumbled onto his floor, his hands shaking.

She's gone.

She's gone.

She's gone…

But no matter what she still finds a way to show up. Something is there to remind him of that wicked smile that would give him a chill.

And the touch that would make his skin crawl.

She always had to brush his cheek, touch his hair, or fix something on his person so her hand could linger.

He shut his eyes tightly, shaking his head to try to get the images out of his head.

The memories of the discomfort.

And a sense of helplessness that came with it all.

"Oi," Lila called to him from the door. "You doin' alright?"

She listened carefully.

At first she thought he was crying… but it wasn't tears. It was just quick gasps.

This made her heart skip as she didn't wait for permission and entered the room.

Five was on the far side of his bed, on the floor between the bed and the window. He looked like a child, curled up in himself.

"You look terrible," she said, partially joking, but there was truth in her words.

He didn't answer. He just stared at the wall.

"Five," she attempted to pull him out of his daze. His chest was rising and falling quickly and with great depth. "Five!" She tried louder, making her way over in front of him.

"Come on you knob," she dropped down looking at him closer. His eyes blinked, almost lifelessly. "What the hell did mum do to you?" She asked softly.

His eyes drifted to her, finally recognizing that she was there, but he didn't say anything. He gulped.

"Five, breathe with me, please? You look like you might pass out, and I'm not explaining that to the others," she informed him. She started to loudly take breaths, and he followed.

Finally his breathing seemed to be back to normal.

"She really did a number on you, didn't she?" Lila asked quietly.

"You have no idea," he told her.

"When was the last time she… " Lila stopped. Would this trigger him? She didn't need him devolving back into his catatonic state.

But he simply swallowed again and looked away.

"When she brought me back to the commission… after I had just gotten back to 2019…"

Lila froze at that.

"But you weren't in the right body then."

"No…I wasn't."

She felt absolutely sick.

"So when I saw the coin… I just… I thought there was no escaping her."

"You did. We both did." She told him. She placed a hand on his arm and gave him a reaffirming smile. "And nothing like that will happen again, or I'll kill them myself."

Five smiled slightly hearing his common phrase echoed in her voice.

"Thanks Lila. You're not completely terrible."

"You're still a wanker… but one I'll keep around."

Lila and Five are my favorite frenemies lol.

Hope you enjoyed it!
