Fires burning around the street with many injured victims around. The delinquents all completely ignore students that were sent by GSC and just focus on pulling out all the unconscious and heavily injured ones away from the battlefield. The fountain on the street was destroyed, the water just sprayed everywhere without direction and a tank that was used by the delinquents was sliced in half.
"What the heck is that?!" Yuuka shouted as she held down her trigger. "I've never seen this type of robot before!"
The said robot is a humanoid spider. It has a head that looks like a spider, with many black eyes and small, mechanical spider legs around it. It has an open gaping mouth with razor-sharp teeth clearly seen by everyone. Behind the head of the spider are larger spider legs, allowing the robot to be lifted off the ground thanks to it. Its body is clearly that of a human shape, but it is colored with brown and black stripes; not only that but instead of human arms, they have sharply pointed arms that look similar to its spider legs. On the waist of the robot, there is a silver device attached to it with a cracked rectangular object in it.
Behind the spider robot, it was a struggling Wakamo tied in a web, the jailbreaker that was the cause of anarchy in the street.
"My flashbang is not working on the robot, so we have to rely on grenades and guns on this one!" Suzumi shouted. She quickly looked back at Chinatsu and asked. "Chinatsu! How is Shun?"
The elven girl quickly applies alcohol to an opened wound on Shun's right thigh while looking back at their robot enemy before looking back at her patient. "Just one opened wound from the ambush, she just needs to rest behind us."
"No need," Shun grunted. "I'll support all of you from the back with Hasumi like we usually do. If only we could call Ms. Vice President for backup…"
Chinatsu just looked back at the taller woman and nodded, before pulling out her pistol and beginning to shoot at the robot.
But much like Yuuka's and Suzumi's bullets, it did not affect the spider robot. Even Shun's weapon does next to nothing to the robot. It just shrugs it off and continues walking toward its attackers with its larger spider limbs.
With not much option left, Suzumi took out a grenade and tossed it at her enemy. The explosion hit the robot directly, the smoke and blast engulfing it.
"Did that hurt it?" Suzumi asked. She got her answer, but the one she wanted; as the smoke was cleared, they all saw that aside from some dust and a little scratch, there was no serious damage being dealt to it.
"Kivotos must end." The robot said.
"Seriously? Just how tough is this thing?" Yuuka exclaimed.
"Regardless, we have to stop it somehow." Hasumi said. She aimed her gun again and began to shoot the robot's head, but all it did was make a ping sound.
The robot continued to walk towards them despite all the bullets shot at it, until another pistol shot was heard and hit from the left side of its head. It looked in that direction and saw Saito Sensei standing there, aiming his pistol at the spider robot.
"You stay away from them!" Saito shouted.
The spider looked at Saito, and its eyes began to flash green before it began to speak again. "Target Zetsumetsu Type: Melanoplus Spretus found. Magia: Mesoz begins attacking the target for retrieval. Kivotos must end."
Completely ignoring the students now, the robot, who called itself Magia: Mesoz, charged toward Saito rapidly. Seeing the opponent, Saito tried to shoot its leg a few times, before deciding it is not worth it and just dodge to the left before it stabs the teacher.
Readjusting his glasses, he took aim again, but the Magia quickly slapped the gun away with one of its legs before it attempted to stab the teacher again.
Barely rolling away from the attack, the black-haired teacher looked around him and began a desperate sprint toward the nearest gun that he could use. He saw one that he could use, but he suddenly felt something hit his back and knocked him down.
"Sensei!" He heard the students shout. He tried to get up again, but he couldn't and noticed that there was something sticky touching his skin and hair.
A big, white spider web is what he sees around his vision. He kept moving his body, desperately removing the web. But all he could do was end up turning his body around and struggling to break free, all the while the arachnid predator moved towards him.
"Hey!" The robot looked to his side where the shout came from, which is from a delinquent holding a rocket launcher. "Try blocking this!"
She pulled the trigger and the shot landed on the robot, sending it away from the teacher. He looked around him and saw that there were several delinquents that were not heavily injured or unconscious and began to fight back, no matter how little they damaged the robot.
Another delinquent jogged toward Saito and pulled out a small knife; but instead of trying to hurt the teacher, she began to cut the web away, freeing Saito out of it.
"Look, you are the Sensei that those people from GSC talked about, right? I can't say about everyone, but we'll surrender and come quietly after this shit is done."
Saito looked at her in bafflement, wondering why they are so willing to throw themselves behind the bar right now. He asked her why, to which she replied. "Forget freedom right now! I just don't want to die to that monster!"
"So it's more for the preservation of their own life. Understandable to be honest." The teacher silently mused and just nodded at her. Once the binding became looser, he stood up and tried to clean off what is still clinging on to him.
Not everything was removed, but at least he can only feel very little of the stick feeling.
"Hey," He spoke to the delinquent. "Mind giving me the knife? I need to quickly do something with it."
The girl didn't hesitate to give it to him, not questioning him why. He muttered a thank you and began to run towards someone else while the delinquent joined the rest of the delinquents and Saito's student.
Wakamo watched as both the delinquents and the students gave their all to fight against the robot that had caught her when she was in the Schale building. Wakamo had no idea why it wanted to bring her out of the building, but she could not think of a reason as she realized there is no way she could escape from it.
Fear was one of the emotions she had. Wakamo was not someone who generally felt fear; someone who enjoys chaos and destruction just doesn't get scared of many things after all.
But when she realized just how powerful the arachnid was, she could not help it. It had swatted away many delinquents that were defending the building and even heavily injured more.
Then when the tank that she stole before was used against it, it just used its web to cover up the tank barrel and began to stab and slice it before it exploded, causing even more injuries. She had hoped the tank could do something against it, but it can't even do anything.
Then she saw the robot moving away from the Schale building, before she heard a shout of pain.
The students that were sent by GSC came rushing closer to the building, struggling to fight back the robot. She silently wondered what kind of …monster -yes, that is an appropriate word to describe it- are they facing, but also felt hopeless.
Then she saw him. His glare at the enemy, the way he told the monster to stay away from everyone…
Something began to burn up in her when she saw that.
Her ears picked up footsteps going towards her, breaking her out of her thoughts. She saw the same man -Sensei if that is what the girls called him- that tried to fight the monster.
He held a knife, and then began to cut the web, trying not to injure her at the same time.
"You know that we are much more resilient, right? You can be much rougher." "Especially since we are supposed to be enemies." Wakamo noted.
"Still not going to risk it." He said. Then he spoke again. "Wakamo, right?"
"Yes, that is me." Wakamo answered in a neutral tone.
"Okay, I need you to tell me what you know about that thing called Magia, as it calls itself."
Seeing no reason to not tell him, she told him all she knows. "Well… most of the thing it does now is what I know too, but this… Magia also can regenerate its legs when it starts to consume metals."
Saito gave her a confused look. "It regenerates its leg?"
Wakamo nodded, and noticed that her arms and upper body were free from the web. She shifted herself to a sitting position before she continued. "I saw one of the people who followed me was able to make a lucky shot on the leg and break it off, but all it did was use a metal plate from the tank, stuff it into its mouth, and then the leg regenerates."
"Wait… how did they even break the leg?"
"Most likely hitting the gap between the joint enough times and force, but I admit, I'm not too sure."
Saito digests the information that was given to him. He concluded that to even defeat it, they need to be precise and seemingly powerful attacks. But as he looked at the students that were fighting, he noticed that the spider is not giving them the opening that is needed to make a dent.
"If only there is a way to break the belt…"
"Say what?" Saito asked as he finally cut all the webs away. He silently pulled his hand out and helped Wakamo to stand up before she decided to explain what she meant.
She then pointed her fingers at the Magia, which is still distracted by the students and delinquents, some of them were caught by the spider web. "That thing on its waist, that is how the robot transformed into its spider form by putting that weird cracked rectangle thing into the device."
Saito narrows his eyes, trying to look closer at the waist. It is as Wakamo described, there is a silver device and there is a rectangular object on it…
Wait…
"That rectangular object…" He pulled out the blue object that was with him this whole time. "Wouldn't happen to look like this, right?"
Wakamo reeled back, completely in shock. "Y-yes! That is exactly the thing that it used!"
"Yuuka was right then." Saito thought. He looked down at the rectangular object and gripped it hard.
The teacher looked around him, seeing all the unconscious, injured and trapped students. He looked back at Yuuka and the rest, continuing to fight despite their attack not mattering that much and supplies being exhausted.
… There is no point in thinking whether he would be like the monster or not…
Lives are in even more danger, and the question of whether or not he would become a monster cannot be a concern.
Saito's head throbbed, feeling the same painful sensation that he had when he was in the GSC office.
"Justice and peace are important, *. But human life… any innocent sentient life is just as, if not more. Don't ever lose sight of that, Ms. President."
"So what was this for huh…" He muttered as his headache fades while looking at the blue object- no, this 'Progrise Key' in his hand.
"With the 'key' I hold..."
He then pulled out the silver device… the 'driver', out of his jacket… and placed it on his waist; the driver then produced a silver belt, wrapping around his waist.
Cycloneriser!
"The 'power' I wield..."
He looked at the battlefield in front of him, seeing the students fighting back.
He did not hesitate. Saito walked closer and closer to his enemy without fear. He raised the Progrise Key and pressed it.
Kamen Rider!
Both Yuuka (and the others that were with him) and the Magia heard the sound, turning their heads towards him.
"Sensei! What are you doing?" Yuuka shouted.
He ignored her words, as if he was in his own world. He moved his hand down to the driver and slotted the key into it.
Mesoz, upon seeing Saito slotted the Progrise Key, shot a ball of web at him, trying to trap him again. However, the web was vaporized when dark blue-green wind surrounds him and red sparks run through his body.
Then a large mechanical grasshopper in dark turquoise color appeared from his back from the thin air, jumping around him and protecting him from other harm.
Saito crossed his right arm up high to the left, with his left arm held on the waist.
"Ri~der!"
He slowly moves his right arm from the left to the right.
"Henshin!" then quickly switches to his left arm in the same position while pulling the lever open.
Cyclonerise!
The grasshopper then jumps to the top of Saito, and clings itself onto him. Then it bursts out, and separates itself into different parts with a black undersuit formed on Saito. A gray line then formed and pulled all the parts into the undersuit, combining all the parts into an armor.
Rocking Hopper!
Type-1.
The chestplate of the armor is in turquoise color, separating itself into 7 separate parts. Other pieces of turquoise are attached to the boots, the legs and thighs, and the front of the arms; with silver thick wires latching connecting to each piece, holding each of the sections together. Large silver pieces of armor were used as shoulder pads and are also under the arms.
Black neck guard with red lines running on it, effectively covering the chin from the front view, likened to a scarf. And the mask of the armor is shaped like a grasshopper, with a pair of large hexagonal red eyes and a pair of silver antennate on top of the mask.
Magia: Mesoz saw the whole transformation, and it hissed. "Threat level shifts to red. Target Zetsumetsu Type: Melanoplus Spretus successfully transformed to the Ichigata model."
It shifted all of its focus on the now-named Ichigata and began to move towards the transformed man once again. "Proceed to annihilate Ichigata. By any means necessary!"
Without any prompt, Ichigata took his first step and ran towards his enemy. The Magia shoots out two balls of spider webs, which the newly armored teacher strafed away smoothly.
Seeing that the turquoise grasshopper was closing in, the spider raised one of its legs and went for a stab. Instead of dodging it, however, Ichigata raised his right hand and grabbed the leg. Using his left elbow, he used all of his power on hitting the joints, breaking the leg from its owner.
Ichigata quickly threw away the leg and went in for a punch to the gut, staggering the Magia and making a huge dent in the chest. Then he goes for another punch, this time to the face, making another dent. Then a right hook. Then finally a kick to the face, sending the Magia away from him.
He saw the Magia using its legs to get back up and ready to fight once more before he heard a voice.
"Ready! Fire!" Ichigata heard Yuuka's voice from a distance, then he heard gunfire and saw bullets flying toward the spider robot. This time, the bullets were able to pierce into the dented armor, further damaging the Magia.
Ichigata turned around and saw all the delinquents, Yuuka, Hasumi, Suzumi, Shun, Chinatsu, and Wakamo (who found a machine gun), working together shooting down their enemy.
The Magia jumps around, still quick on its feet, dodging any bullets that it can evade while shooting spider webs at the students. It was able to trap some students who were unfortunate enough to not run in time, but there are still others who are still standing, continuing to fire back until they run out of ammo.
Seeing an opportunity, Mesoz jumped again, but this time to jump into something, or rather someone.
"Shun! Look out!" Ichigata shouted.
Upon hearing his shout, Shun looked up, where she saw the spider coming down towards her with its legs ready to stab her. Due to her injured leg, she was not able to move away from the attack. Shun closed her eyes, waiting for the inevitable attack to connect her.
Ichigata began to run as fast as possible, but he knew that he might not be able to get to Shun in time.
"Faster…"
So he pushed his legs, hoping to run faster.
"Faster…"
He ran. Doing all he can to push further.
"Faster!"
Unknown to him, Ichigata's eyes began to glow red along with the neck guard. Then in a sudden, Ichigata felt a burst of speed, pushing him even closer to Shun than before. A trail of digital blue lines came out behind him away with trails of red color coming out of his eyes and his neck guard.
Then…a metal clang rang into Shun's ear. She slowly opened her eyes, and saw an incredible sight.
She saw the humanoid grasshopper holding two of the spider's legs with his own two hands, protecting her from the attack. Red mist comes out of the neck guard, almost like a crimson scarf.
"A hero…" She muttered.
With a grunt, Ichigata pushed the legs away from him, throwing the Magia off its balance, then he kicked it away before turning around and facing Shun.
"Are you alright?" He asked. Shun could only nod. "Alright… tell everyone I'll be right back."
Without hearing her response, he rushed towards his enemy once more and both continued their fight.
"Shun!" Suzumi shouted as she ran closer to Shun. Along with her are Yuuka, Chinatsu, Hasumi, and surprisingly Wakamo. "Are you alright?"
Shun nodded her head again. "I'm alright. Sensei asked me the same thing just now too." Then she looked back at the fight.
By this point, none of the students are firing any shots, leaving Ichigata and Megia: Mesoz to fight by themselves.
At some point in the fight, Ichigata had broken another leg and used it as an improvised weapon to clash with his opponent. Said opponent now decided to move with its human legs instead of the spider legs, which are now used as a stabbing tool.
"He really is trying to make sure that the monster is not near any metals…" Wakamo muttered.
Yuuka turned her eyes to the criminal and glared at her. "Why did you say that? Also, why are you here?"
"Can't I gaze at Sensei's amazing form that he dons right now?" Wakamo replied, although her pitch seems to go a little higher at the end. "T-that's beside the point. That monster was able to regenerate when it put metal into its mouth. To think that Sensei took my advice…"
Ignoring the small muttering that Wakamo had devolved into, Yuuka and the rest just continued to watch their Sensei fighting their enemy.
They saw him going on the offense, punching and kicking his enemies. When he went on the defense, he blocked, parried, and countered his enemy's attack.
"Hey…" Suzumi suddenly spoke up. "Don't you think Sensei is like a superhero right now?"
"Superhero…" Hasumi said, before she smiled at Suzumi. "I think that is an apt description of Sensei right now."
The conversation was immediately stopped when they heard a loud screech. They all turned towards the battle and saw that the spider robot is now in a terrible shape, while Ichigata only had a few scratches and a dent on the chestplate.
"Looks like the battle will be ending soon… and Sensei will win this one. 100%." Yuuka said.
Ichigata continued to push his offense. He connected his right hook, then he jumped to the air (which seems to be enhanced by the armor, he noted) and kicked the spider towards the broken fountain.
The Magia landed right in the water. Thanks to some of its body parts being exposed, the running electricity in its body began to electrocute the robot, stunning it.
Landing on his leg, "Now." Ichigata moved his hand towards the lever on his driver and pushed it then pulled it once. "This should be the finisher."
Rocking! Spark!
His red eyes began to glow again, and the neck guard started to produce red mist once again.
Ichigata then began to kneel, then he dashed towards his stunned enemy. He then used both of his legs to jump up high into the air.
"Rider Kick!"
He shifted his body, going for a diving sidekick. Bright blue energy gathered on his feet as he rapidly closed in on his enemy. All the Magia could do now as it saw Ichigata getting closer to take the full brunt of the attack.
"Kivotos will end!"
The kick connected to Magia: Mesoz's body, completely shattering it and the belt. Ichigata landed right behind the now broken robot, before said robot exploded, finally destroying the monster.
Finally, now we got into the main stage of the prologue (Yes, all these chapters had been the prologue), the first Henshin and the first fight.
If anyone somehow still didn't catch it, the name of the story, the description of the drive, and other hints, Saito is Kamen Rider Ichigata. And with him being the first Kamen Rider in Kivotos, why not give him the henshin pose of the first Kamen Rider?
All this consider, this is definitely the second hardest chapter to write so far, as it had been a little over a year since I wrote one, so I am still a little rusty.
Other than that, the next chapter will also be coming out in a few days, and it will be much more dailogue and exposition heavy, then finally an interlude chapter before the upload time slows down.
Noting else to say anymore, I just want to say thanks for reading and have a nice day to all of you.
