"Well this was a lovely evening!" Alastor exclaimed as the limo pulled up to where he said he could be dropped off.

"Glad you could join us, Alastor." Dad said, the ungodly amount of booze he'd drunk having mellowed him out.

"Due let us know if you'd like to join us again." Mama smiled and even gave Alastor a hug, though I couldn't help but notice that even as he hugged back, he looked incredibly uncomfortable, "It was quite enjoyable."

"I shall do just that, Lora." Alastor chuckled as the door was opened for him, "Good evening everyone. It was nice to meet you all." Alastor stepped out and the door was closed behind him. Not long after, the limo started moving again to take us home.

Mama, Arthur, Molly, and Dad milled about in light conversations as I sat and thought over the evening's events. We'd eaten our fill, Alastor entertaining my family with these tales of places he'd been to during his travels for his job, and delighted in the stories he was given in return. I had to respect his methods of gathering information. He'd managed to lull everyone into thinking he was trustworthy enough to give some secrets to, granted they were small secrets, but secrets none the less. The deer had even made sure dear old Dad was plenty drunk before he started asking more...personal questions, like the amount of guard he usually liked to keep, or his brief bits of his work routine.

"Anthony?" Molly's voice caught my attention, pulling back into the present.

"Yeah?"

"Did you have to much wine? You're never this quiet."

"I'm fine, just tired."

"Well when we get home, we can all enjoy a good night's sleep." Mama said with a yawn as she leaned against my father's shoulder.

Speaking of getting home, it wasn't long until the limo stopped again and we were in front of our house. That was the end of the night for all of us. We were to tired to do much more than go to sleep, except me of course. I knew all to well what would be up in my room once I got there, and I was right. Alastor was back in the goddamn chair, waiting for me, that smile still on his face.

"Anthony, you look absolutely exhausted." Alastor chuckled, "Enjoy yourself this evening?"

"Did you get what you were after?" I asked as I shrugged off my jacket.

"I did. I think the information I gathered this evening will be just what I need to help in the plan to end your father's life."

"Good..." I yawned and sat on my bed, "Then I can sleep."

"Turning in already? And I was going to ask you to dance~"

"What?" I looked at the demon, sure he was talking out of his ass.

"Wipe that look off your face, dear Anthony. I'm not joking." Alastor stood up and looked me dead in the eye, "I would've asked you at dinner, but I didn't feel it would be right to risk you getting into trouble with your father. He already didn't seem to like my escorting you inside."

"...why do you wanna dance?"

"I feel an evening out is never complete without a proper dance, but if you don't want to~" Alastor turned to sit down, but stopped when I got to my feet.

"I didn't say that."

Alastor turned and smiled at me, setting his cane on the ground, where it stood up by itself and started playing a gentle jazz tune. He then offered his hand to me, which I took a bit hesitantly, and pulled me closer, placing his hand on my waist as he lead me into a slow waltz. I had never danced with anyone before, let alone another man. It was strange, yet it didn't feel wrong. Honestly the only part about this that didn't feel quite right was the fact that I was dancing with a demon.

"That stuff you said about your mom..." I suddenly found myself asking, "That sounded...real..."

"It was." Alastor shrugged, continuing to lead me in the waltz, not seeming to notice how my jaw had dropped like it was about to hit the floor.

"You mean you demons-"

"I'm going to stop you right there, Anthony." Alastor quickly interjected, "I'd rather not talk about it if you would be so kind as to leave it alone."

"You don't just drop a bombshell like that and-"

"End. Of. Discussion." Alastor spoke in a near threatening tone, but continued the dance, "Besides, its not a happy story anyways."

"Alright...I won't ask." I fell silent until Alastor suddenly dipped me, pausing there and holding me close.

"Good." He spoke in an amused tone, "Now rest, tomorrow we finally put this plan into action."
