Reviews corner

Johnathan-Mandrake: I think your question about intent or usage of the powers could be answered in this chapter

Arraia: read to find out

Bladewolf56: sorry for the wait

Hiddenshade: thanks. Yeah, Tucker in the show is very self-centered and tends to ignore Danny's well intentions. I don't hate Tucker but it just turned out this way in the fic

Daniel6: merging two episodes helped me get them out of the way and faster to chapters I really look forward to

Chanderx93: glad you liked it. And yeah I might have Desiree help him out later on. As for his lair, I'm not sure but we will have to wait and see.

ArashiNokitsune: wishing Walker away was the only thing I could think of. And Danny isn't the type to think that kind of thing through. He just wanted to stop the chaos

Adrianfilex622: well, Desiree is a harem girl so it makes sense she doesn't mind harem sisters. Desiree and Danny will spend time together soon as I have that planned out but some things will happen first.

DJ Rodriguez: Well, Jack is a bumbling idiot at times. Jazz's overbearing personality is hard to deal with. And yeah, Danny has a situation no teen would deal with, with both Dora and Desiree. I felt that his reaction would be how he would react based on his personality. I'm good at coming up with explanations to give context to things so I liked coming up with the lore of the realms. I like building soft romance with my characters so I came up with that scene with the massage. I wanted to give Kitty more screen time since she is a very underused character in the show and in fics.

Crimson Leo: no idea where he would get a sword but I will be adding more to Danny's arsenal so to speak later on

Nathair1: I'll be building things with Danny and his transformation. Ember has a story to tell, and I will tell it

Guest 1: I'm sorry for the wait and hope you like this chapter

Fallen-Ryu: glad you liked it. And please read on. :)

Dreams Come True 996: I think we talked about this over DMs but to answer here. I understand if the rating is what got you. And that is fine. Not sure if you'll read this but Gore and sexual stuff isn't my focus. I set up the M rating more for some freedom but I don't think I'll get to that point. But to warn you, there is a scene of nudity in this but nothing explicit is written, just insinuated and nothing but nudity. It has a purpose but I leave it to you, if yu read this, to go one. I'll put a warning to it just in case

Jacob Fritzsching : sorry for the wait, updating

Chaos Snow Kitsune: maybe

I am so sorry for the wait, readers. When I finished the last chapter I started on this one but mid-way I kind of burnt myself out with all the stories I was working on. And with me drawing as well, I needed a break.

But here it is and I hope you like it.

Also, I would really appreciate it, if you checked out my other stories.

Like my Naruto X Legend of Zelda fic: "Heroes of Legend", if you are interested in those franchises. I'm kind of proud of how that one is coming out and how I was able to merge the two worlds.

Though I am surprised that My mlp X Danny phantom fic: "The Phantom in the moonlight" is getting attention. Even though I only saw the first season of Mlp on a whim, writing the fic is kinda growing on me.

Anyway please enjoy this super long chapter. 16K words excluding the reviews corner authors notes and this little tidbit

will come back and fix any mistakes I missed

Chapter 8: A story to Remember

Danny was rushing around his room, trying to grab everything he needed for school today as he grumbled to himself. "Those ecto-pusses had to run around, didn't they? Oh, sure they looove to take me on a long chase through town and through buildings. And let's not forget the Box Ghost! He just had to come out for the seventh time in a row…in two days!" he ran over to his desk and grabbed his half-finished homework. "Didn't they know that I am trying to live my life?" He walked towards his door till he froze at his last statement. "...well…..half of it." He shook his head and opened his door before he ran down the hall towards the stairs. As he got to the top stair, he nearly fell down as he remembered one last thing. He turned around and ran to his room and grabbed it off his bed. It was an mp3 player that he hadn't had much use till recently. A new song had come out that he had gotten hooked to "Gotta have something to entertain me while I have free time. He stuffed the item into his back before continuing his journey towards the front door.

When he made it to the first floor, he saw his parents packing up some things before heading towards the stairs to their lab. He could see the frustration still on their faces from what happened while they were gone on their false honeymoon argument. He was still a bit bitter about that since there was no need for them to come up with some weird scenario to keep the real reason a secret.

They were also bitter but their reason was that they were out of town when the so-called invasion came. The majority of people didn't call them ghosts since there were still skeptics, but Fenton propaganda was starting to bring them around

Danny sighed before he walked out the door so he could head to school.

Meanwhile, Maddie and Jack walked into the lab and placed the items in their arms on the table.

Maddie moved over to a safe they had, putting in the combination, and placing her hand on the side for a hidden hand scanner. Once the click told her that it was unlocked, she opened it and pulled out a small vial that they had worked on when they received that sample. They were able to replicate the serum they had before to a degree but it turned out that it was unusable for any other sort of ectoplasmic samples. They put the sample on other ecto samples but all it did was seem to burn it a minute bit, nothing more. When they were able to get another sample from the ghost kid, the result was the same as before.

Explosive

This wasn't good enough.

"Maddie, got the sample?"

"Yes, Jack. Did you set up the protective wall?"

"Yep!"

Maddie turned around and moved over to the machine that would drop the serum onto another sample they got. "Oh, and Jack, you didn't tell the GIW about this yet have you?"

"Nope. you told me not to mention this to them as we still need to get things right and patent it by our name."

"Good." she loaded a sample of the serum before moving over to her husband. "Well, let's try this. It should be test run #267."

~Ghost Zone~ (warning, mentions of nudity in this scene. It will be obvious where it starts so if you want to, you can skip to the next scene. Marked with the line break)

Dora stood on the balcony of her room as she looked down at the village that surrounded the castle. She watched as the people of the kingdom tended to tasks they have done for centuries.

A farmer tilling the dirt.

A woman doing laundry

A few guards walking the streets

And the rest worked on their small houses, making sure that the hay they used for roofing was still stable.

All this just brought her thoughts to how the modern world was. The advancements that the human world had gone through since her time living there were clear to see.

Don't get her wrong, she loved her kingdom and just wanted what was best for the people but she also saw that the stagnant way the kingdom had remained in its old ways just showed a lack of improvement.

She sighed as her mind wandered to the tour she had and that led her thoughts to the one that gave her the tour. She smiled fondly as she thought about her time with Danny. He was kind, brave, understanding, and in his own way, charmingly attractive. Her cheeks flushed as she remembered the kiss they shared and how tender and gentle it was. But her smile turned into an uncertain frown as she remembered the kiss Desiree gave him. She pushed off the stone railing and floated into her bed chambers.

Her chamber was a stone room with a few tapestries hanging from the ceiling with the symbol of her brother's rule: a dark dragon circle. On one side of the chamber was her bed: a large bed with burgundy blankets with purple edges and a canopy over it with a thin veil surrounding the mattress. On the other side was a vanity table with a few brushes for her hair, a cushioned stool for when the handmaidens come to aid her in dressing, and a mirror with three angles to check how she looked.

She floated over to the mirror and let her feet touch the floor as she looked at her reflection. She timidly brought her braided hair in front of her and ran her hand down it as her mind continued its previous thoughts. 'I did not expect Lady Desiree to kiss sir Danny. And it was so sudden that it appeared that he was not expecting it. But….he didn't push away….' She thought about the look he had on his face when Desiree ended the kiss and felt insecure. 'What if….. What if he does not wish to be with me?... What if he chooses Desiree rather than me?' She looked her reflection up and down and could not help what came to her mind. "Lady Desiree has more appeal than I ever could." She ran her fingers on her braid. "Her hair is silkier than mine." She moved her hand to her face and ran her middle finger from her forehead, down the side of her eye, and across her cheek to her lips. "She has the beauty many in the ghost zone wish they could have." Her hand slid down her neck, over her amulet, down her chest, across her stomach, and to her hips. "And she has the appeal of a mature woman." She clasped her hand in front of her chest as she looked down in sadness. "Why would Sir Danny ever wish to stay with me?"

"Oh, I can give a few reasons for why he would."

Dora spun around in shock at the voice and gasped at who it was. "Lady Desiree!"

Desiree was floating in the center of the room with her arms crossed under her bust. She had a soft smirk on her face before she floated closer.

Dora bowed to the approaching genie ghost. But when she remembered where they were she straightened up and brought her hands up as if to stop Desiree. "Lady Desiree, what are you doing here?" She looked to the door and the open balcony as if someone would come through them any second. "If someone were to see you here, they will alert my brother!" came her whispered shout.

Desiree only smiled wider before her hand lit up in magenta magic and waved it around as the room glowed in the same color before it returned to normal. "Do not worry about that. No one will enter here as long as I remain in this room."

Dora looked around the room, still a little worried, but decided to believe in the genie ghost as she was powerful. Looking back to Desiree, she cleared her throat and asked. "To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?"

Desiree's smile became smaller as she decreased her size to be more aligned with Dora's. "I believe we had some things to discuss about someone we both share a great interest in."

Dora's mood dropped more as she held her left arm to her side. "I suppose it would be best that we clear the air about him." She lowered her head as she already felt defeated in this matter before it was even brought up.

Desiree saw that Dora was shrinking in on herself and sighed. "Princess Dorathea, you do not need to worry yourself about losing Danny." Seeing the young princess look up at her in shock, she smirked. "I overheard you talking to yourself."

Dora shrunk even more as she turned away from Desiree to face the mirrors. "but….I do not compare. You are fond of Sir Danial as well and it is obvious which of us would catch his attention more."

Desiree floated closer to be behind Dora and looked at the reflections. "Dora, Danny cares for you. He cares for you greatly and you shouldn't worry about him not showing you."

"But he cares for you as well!" She hugged herself and tightened her grip as she began to think of Danny rejecting her and not sharing his kindness with her anymore. She didn't think that the thought would hurt her this much since they had only gotten close not that long ago. Yet her core was starting to hurt from the thought of him not being with her.

The thought of Danny turning away from her and leaving her in a prison that she had stayed in for all her afterlife. He was becoming a light for her in the darkness and now that light was getting further away.

Desiree could see that this was hurting the Princess and from what she heard when she arrived, Dora was very self-conscious and could not help but compare her appearance with her own. She thought about what she could do till she smiled softly at the Princess's back. She reached out and laid her hand on the small sash around Dora's waist.

Dora flinched slightly from the sudden touch and wondered what Desiree was doing. She got her answer when she felt her sash loosen up till it dropped to the ground. She looked over her shoulder in panic. "Lady Desiree! What are you….?"

"Shhh." Desiree smiled as she unbuttoned Dora's blue dress. She had to use a bit of her magic to keep Dora from moving but she had a reason for this.

Dora blushed heavily when she felt her blue dress slip off her shoulders. She wanted to protest but she found that her movements were being manipulated by Desiree. She was sure of this when her arms lifted to allow her blue undershirt to be removed, leaving her in only the fabrics used for undergarments. She was hoping that it ended there but it was only seconds later that she felt them fall off as well, leaving her bare of any clothing. When she felt that she could move on her own, she covered her breasts with one arm while the other was used to cover her lower half. She was so embarrassed that she almost didn't realize that Desiree had also removed the band that held her hair in a braid, letting it waterfall down her back. She wanted to curl up to cover herself more but she found that she couldn't. She then felt a pair of hands gently hold her face and lift up to look into the mirror.

Desiree held Dora's head from behind and moved it so the young princess would look at her reflection. "You should not worry about not being good enough for him, Dora." She slid her right hand down to Dora's arm and gently removed it from covering her breasts. "If you compare yourself to others, you forget to see yourself and the worth you have. Look at yourself, Dora."

Dora held her head down as she felt mortified and ashamed because of how she sees herself.

"It's alright. You have nothing to be ashamed about."

Dora slowly looked up and felt even more embarrassed at seeing her naked form. The only thing she had on was the amulet held by the necklace Danny gave her. Her eyes focused on that as she looked at her reflection.

"You are a very beautiful woman, Dora, and you cannot compare yourself to me as you have a different kind of beauty." Seeing the confusion in the reflection, she elaborated. "You said that I have a mature beauty, and that is one way of looking at it. Another way would be that I have sensual beauty, I have beauty made to entice men, to make them stare at me in certain ways, to make them want to watch me dance. But you…" She lowered her hands to Dora's and gently moved them to the side so all of her was visible. "You have beauty to enchant them. To make them want to be close to you, to woo you, to dance with you." She released Dora's hands and wrapped them around the Princess just under her bust, as she leaned her head on Dora's left shoulder. She lifted one hand and brushed some of Dora's hair so the princess's face was more visible. "He is already close to loving you, Dora, if he doesn't already. I saw his emotions when I gave him some of my power so you should not worry about him leaving you."

"...then why…?"

"Because you are not the only one that has become fond of him. I have as well and as I told you before, I wish to be with him." She gently tightened her hold on Dora as she continued. "The boy is a marvel among men. I have seen many men lust for women with no care for their well-being, but Danny would give the world for those he cares for. It is why he was hurt so much when his friend betrayed him and wished to destroy him. He would give you his core to show how much he cares. And it is not just you, he is close to doing the same with me."

Dora felt slightly relieved about hearing how far Danny would go for her but she still had doubts. "I just wish that it …would just be me."

Desiree smiled as she knew why Dora said that. "You say that because you are afraid he won't give you as much attention, but he will. Do not worry about losing Danny's love, Dora. He has given it to you and will continue to do so. It is just how he is."

Dora felt better hearing that and smiled. She looked at the reflection of Desiree. "He is an extraordinary man."

Desiree smiled back. "That he is. It is not surprising that he has the ability to gain a woman's attention."

~later~

Danny ran down the hall as he had seen the look on Dash's face when they had finished their English test and he knew that the jock would want to take it out on him. He had to thank Kwan later on for stalling Dash for as long as he could. He looked over his shoulder and was glad that he had outrun his bully. 'Maybe I should try out for the football team? I outran their best quarterback easily.' He shook his head when he finished the thought. 'On second thought, I'll stick with where I am now on the social ladder.'

He looked around the hall to see that there were a growing number of posters and banners about the new upcoming superstar: Ember Mclain. She had the newest top single playing all over the radio and had the top spot in digital copies. There was even merchandise of shirts, punk gear, and….wigs being sold. The odd thing about the wig though was that she hadn't made an actual appearance yet so no one even knows what she looks like. The posters only had silhouettes where she would be. But the hype and rumors of her appearance made the suspense on when she would first make a debut even higher.

He figured that when she does make an appearance the same merchandise will be sold at a higher price with her face slapped all over them.

He made it to the cafeteria doors and smiled as he still didn't see the jock. 'Now to get…..whatever the lunch lady is serving.' He walked in and moved to the line while grabbing a tray. He froze when he felt his ghost sense go off

"Hello, deary."

He looked up to see that the ghost Lunchlady was serving them food. "Oh, hey. Haven't seen you in a while."

The Lunchlady smiled as she waved a ladle dismissively. "Oh, I had some trouble back home and it was handled due to an opportunity granted to me."

The event she was referring to was the jailbreak from Walker's prison that was spearheaded by Skulker. The jailbreak was done during the time Walker had been searching for Johnny and Kitty and due to the smaller staff, Skulker saw an opportunity and started taking them out as fast as he could.

Safe to say, Walker was furious when he popped up into an almost empty prison after his failure to capture Johnny, Kitty, Desiree, and Danny. He took his anger out on Bullet since he was put in charge

Danny smiled as he asked. "So what do you have on the menu today?" He was excited t what she would be giving the students as the last time that she was here, the meals were something to look forward to.

The Lunchlady bent down and pulled up a plate of beef wellington in one hand and a steaming plate of ham.

Danny almost drooled but was able to keep it together. He brought up his tray and he was glad that he got two slices of both. He moved down the line and saw that there were some side dishes.

Beans, mashed potatoes, corn, and pork cut into squares.

Danny grabbed a small helping of each and thanked the Lunchlady. He was about to head out to find a spot to eat but paused as he had a thought. "Oh, and can you do me a favor?"

The Lunchlady turned to him and tilted her head. "Yes, deary?"

"When Kwan comes in, can you give him an extra helping as well? He helped me out earlier and I figure this would be a good way to pay him back."

She smiled and nodded. "Of course. You all need meat on your bones, so eat well!"

Danny could see the serious…fury? In her eyes but she went back to normal and began to wave him off good-naturedly before serving the next person. He turned around and looked around at the tables. He couldn't see any spot he would be able to eat alone and in peace. Shrugging, he decided to eat outside on the roof. He moved through the doors that led outside before he made sure that no one was looking before he transformed and flew up towards the roof. He figured this was a nice place to enjoy his meal. Putting his tray on the edge, making sure that it won't fall, he pulled out his mp3 player and put in his earbuds to listen to some music as he ate. Grabbing the tray, he sat down and began to eat with a few hums between bites. "Mmm~ mm~ mmmm~mrm~ you will remember~"

Danny was now laying on his back with his hands behind his head as he was satisfied with the hearty meal he had. He had his eyes closed as he continued to listen to the song playing on his mp3 player. As he listened he started thinking of a made-up music video that would work with the song. It was a nice way to pass the time and it was entertaining to see what his head could come up with. Though he was sure that the official one that would come out at some point, later on, would most likely be better.

It was then that a dark shadow appeared over him, though he was in his own little world right now so he didn't notice.

The shadow stood there for a minute before it got closer.

Danny's earbud was then yanked out.

"Hey, Danny!"

"WAH!" He rolled away from where the yell came from before he got into a crouching ready position, poised for a fight. His serious look dropped when he saw who it was. "Kitty?"

Kitty was standing there with his mp3 in her hand. "Who else do you know is this pretty?" She said teasingly before she brought one of the earbuds to her ear and heard what he was listening to. Her smile grew when she heard it. 'So Amity Park is her first stop, huh? Well, makes sense since this is the first town you see leaving the ghost zone.' She looked over to Danny and tossed the mp3 towards him.

Danny fumbled catching the device in his hands and finally grasped it in both hands before sighing in relief. He looked over to Kitty and titled his head. "Kitty, what are you doing here?" He then looked around looking for the male biker. "Where's Johnny?"

Kitty huffed as she put her hands on her hips. "Johnny is riding around and getting some stuff for his bike. He rode off and told me he'll come by later to pick me up. Came by to see what school in this time would be like."

Danny shrugged as he put his device into his pocket. "Pretty sure that it is the same as it was when you went." 'though I don't know when that was and I don't think asking would be polite. Probably the same as asking a girl her age.'

Kitty rolled her eyes. "So, boring and not worth it."

"I think it is worth it. I mean, I want to be an astronaut, and the only way to do that is to study."

Kitty thought about it and nodded. "I see your point and I hope you get to be one. Ambitious, and I get to brag that I know an astronaut if you do get to become one."

"Thanks. So what's up?"

Kitty smiled as she cocked her hip. "What time does your school get out?"

"Around 3, why?"

Kitty internally frowned as that was still a couple of hours away but she could be patient. Something she learned dating Johnny. "Good." She turned around and began to walk away while waving her hand over her shoulder. "I'll come back around that time, so be ready."

Danny tilted his head as he had no idea what she was planning. "Ready for what?"

~later~

Danny was deadpanning hard at Kitty as he couldn't believe that he was being used as such.

"Hmm, I like this one but maybe this one would look better on me."

They were at the mall as Kitty dragged him to do some shopping for herself and he was carrying her bags.

"Explain to me why I'm the one that is carrying all your stuff. Isn't this kind of thing done by your boyfriend?"

Kitty turned around and smirked at Danny with another piece of clothing that she was planning on buying. "Aw, aren't you happy carrying a pretty girl's things? You should be honored."

Dany responded with heavy sarcasm. "Oh, what was I thinking? I feel soooo~ honored." He pouted as he thought to himself. 'I get the feeling that Johnny knew that you were going shopping and left before you could rope him into this.' He sighed before he readjusted the bags in his hands. He wasn't really mad about doing this but this wasn't really something he expected to do after school. But then again, he didn't have any plans for after school. He looked around the store and couldn't help but ask. "How many stores do you plan on going to anyway?"

Kitty shrugged before going back to the clothes rack. "Don't know. We've only gone to a few of them and there are so many left in this mall."

Danny looked at the bags already in his hands that had the label of the six stores they went to. 'Why did I agree to hang out with her?' He sighed before another question came to his mind. "Hey, I wanted to ask, what happened with you guys and Walker? It has been a while and I haven't heard from him and you haven't said he was still after you."

Kitty put the piece of clothing she had down and looked at Danny. "Well, from what I heard, he has been busy trying to get the prisoners that escaped him during his little visit here. Apparently, a bunch of them got away from his second in command. Don't really know how but as long as that pale-faced detective reject stays away from us, then I'm ok with it."

Danny thought about what he was just told and shrugged. "As long as you guys stay out of trouble then maybe you're in the clear."

Kitty looked back at Danny and put a hand on her chest in mock shock. "Trouble? Us? We would never get into trouble. How could you say such a thing, Danny?" She pouted her lower lip as if about to cry.

Danny smirked at Kitty and her antics. "I've met Johnny."

Kitty chuckled softly as she put a hand on her hip and waved the other nonchalantly. "Ok, I can't argue that."

The two had a laugh at that before the girl went back to shopping.

Danny had to thank his super strength as he was sure that if he didn't have it, his arms would have fallen off from the amount of bags he was carrying. He even saw some looks of shock from some of the other shoppers as they walked around, clearly not believing that a scrawny kid like him was carrying all of the bags and boxes. Sure, Kitty was carrying some of her buys but those were small bags that she got from the last shop they visited, which Danny vehemently chose not to go in.

A Lingerie store.

Danny was sure that she only dragged him towards the store to tease him as he went red in the face because of embarrassment. After he shook his head rapidly and almost shouted at her he would not go in, Kitty let him go and went in herself. Though, Danny saw that teasing smirk she had on her face as she went in.

After Kitty had said that the small amount they had was enough, they chose to get some pizza from the food court and were now on the roof, sitting on the edge to look out to the town, with the large pile of bags sitting on the side.

Danny took a bite from his slice before looking at the mountain of bags Kitty bought. "Where did you get the money for all this?"

Kitty took a sip from her soda before answering. "I actually have a bunch of money saved up already from before. Also, you'd be surprised how much money actually ends up in the ghost zone. Unlike Johnny, I have a lot of good luck and tend to find a stray bill here and there."

Danny raised an eyebrow shifting his gaze from the pile and her. "Stray hundreds? Did you find the ever so rare five hundred bill?"

Kitty held in a snort and shook her head. "If I ever found something that rare, I wouldn't spend it. Like I said, I just find the stray twenties and fifties over the years. After so long, I have a large amount of money. It's one of the reasons that Johnny is able to get some stuff for me and his bike." She took a bite of her pizza as she also thought about this specific spot in the ghost zone that spat out a big horde of money some time ago. She was sure that it came from some bank or something but it was so long ago that she was sure that they couldn't be traced anyway. Not like it would matter anyway. "So…. I gotta know, what is school like nowadays? I wanna know if it is any different from when I went."

Danny took a slice himself and thought about it as he took a bite. "Hmm… I can't really tell you if it is any different since I don't know when you went but I can tell you that it isn't easy for most of us."

Danny told Kitty about the courses that he took and some others that were available to the school, the way that teachers treated some of the students, and the student hierarchy.

"Wait, why don't you use some of your ghost powers to make yourself more popular? You are fast enough to outrun Johnny's bike and I'm pretty sure you are strong enough to carry a car, so why don't you become a football player like that jock and become one of the A-listers?"

"I can actually carry a school bus with one hand when it is full and I don't know about running speed really but I can say I'm pretty fast in the air. But I can't just use my powers like that. Look at me." Danny lifted his arm, letting the forearm and hand just hang. "This isn't really the arm of someone who could plow through all the football jocks and not raise any eyebrows. And I don't really want to be part of the A-listers."

Kitty looked at his arm and despite what he said, she could see some muscle in his scrawny arm. But she can see where he is coming from.

"Why would I want to be part of the group that has tormented me all through middle school and high school? Though I do have a friend who is an A-lister and he seems ok with it but I don't know….. I just don't think I have it in me to be part of the jerks of the school."

Kitty propped her legs up and leaned her head on her knees. "You have a strong moral compass if you are giving up an obvious chance at being popular."

Danny shrugged. "I just don't want to be friends with them." his thoughts then went to Tucker but it only made him frown even more. Before, Tucker was considered his only friend, but thanks to Tucker's big reveal, Danny was now friendless. 'That's a comforting thought.' was his dry mental retort.

Kitty smiled as she stretched out her legs in front of her. "Well, you got a friend in me."

Danny gained a large smirk as he looked back at her. "You got a friend~ in me." was his sing-song reply.

Kitty blinked a few times before the two burst out into laughter.

Once the laughter died down, the two reached for the last slice of pizza. They paused at the realization before looking at each other.

Their eyes narrowed.

Their fingers twitched.

Their muscles tensed.

And then….

"MINE!"

Kitty swiped it from the box as Danny's hand swiped a second later.

"Hey!" Danny looked up as Kitty stood up from her seat.

"Too slow, Danny." She gave a cheeky smirk as she opened her mouth to eat her prize.

"Gimme!" Danny jumped up at her and reached for the pizza slice.

Kitty stepped out of the way as Danny aimed for the pizza. She had to dance around him as he began to chase after her. After the fifth attempt from him, she flew into the air with a cheeky smirk on her face. "Better luck next time."

Danny looked up at her before he smirked and transformed.

Kitty yelped as he suddenly appeared right next to her in his ghost form. In doing this, she dropped the slice.

They both saw it falling towards the street below before they both flew after it.

However, thanks to Danny's superior power, he was the one to reach it first and swiped it from the air, before pulling up.

The two were now in the air with Danny smirking victoriously at Kitty. "Looks like I win."

Kitty crossed her arms in a pout before she gained an idea. She floated closer to Danny and began to give him the biggest puppy eyes she could muster.

Danny looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "What are you doing?" He didn't get a verbal answer from her, instead, she just quivered her lower lip more. Danny began to feel really bad for Kitty as he looked into her eyes and saw the quiver. He floated there as he tried to stay strong but his will was weakening. After a few more seconds, he gave up. "Oh, alright, here" he handed over the slice and saw her take it from him and take a bite out of it. He groaned as he watched her. "That's gotta be cheating."

Kitty gave another cheeky smirk, winking at him. "Works every time." she looked at the defeated Danny and noticed something about him. She floated closer to him and leaned in to get a closer look.

Danny leaned back at the sudden action. "What is it?"

She narrowed her eyes at the side of his face as she could see that there was something off about it. "It looks like…"

*vrrrmmm*

The two looked down to see Johnny arriving on his bike.

Kitty smiled at the sight. "Looks like my ride is here." She flew back to the roof and grabbed all of her things.

Danny gained a dumbfounded look as he saw her easily carry her items. "Wait, you could carry all of that at any time?! Then why did you have me carry it all?!"

Kitty smiled back at Danny. "Because I could." she floated down to meet with Johnny as she put her stuff down.

Danny grew frustrated at the answer and brought his hands up in a choking fashion. "You….! I …..! Argh!" he deflated as he couldn't get mad at her since he had fun hanging out. "Well, it's not like all of that was heavy."

Kitty smiled back at him. "See, anyway, I'll see you later, Danny." she then looked to Johnny and used one hand to slap the back of his head.

"Hey!"

"Be nice, Johnny."

Johnny rubbed the back of his head before looking at Danny. He gave a dry response. "Thanks for hanging out with my girl."

Danny crossed his arms and nodded. "Thanks for not causing any trouble."

Johnny just looked ahead.

Kitty sat behind Jonny with all of her items in her arms. "Catch ya later, Danny!"

Johnny revved his bike before he peeled away and towards Danny's home.

Danny shouted out at them. "And stay invisible when you get to the portal!" Danny stood there for a minute before he sighed. "Well, guess I can go on patrol early today." he floated into the air and was about to take off to start at the usual starting point till….

"BEWARE!"

Danny groaned as he heard the Box ghost behind him. He turned around and saw the pudgy ghost flying away. "How many times am I going to catch this guy?" He flew off after the ghost to start his usual routine.

~next day~

Danny yawned as he arrived at school. It was another all-nighter thanks to the Box ghost. 'He may be one of the weakest ghosts but he is the most slippery out of all of them. Not to mention the most annoying.' He really wanted to just leave the Box ghost in the thermos just so he wouldn't have to deal with the constant "beware"s but he wasn't that mean or petty. But it was very tempting.

He slept walked through the doors and blinked as he saw the color blue. He rubbed his eyes as he was sure that there shouldn't be any blue in the school. He opened his eyes again and saw that his eyes weren't deceiving him. The Halls were covered in posters and everyone was wearing shirts and wigs of blue hair. "Huh?" He walked through the hall, looking at everyone wearing the same kind of merchandise.

Blue wigs, black fang, or swirl-like marks under their eyes. Chokers, crop tops, long black gloves, and for the jocks, purple jackets with blue flames on the back instead of their usual red.

Danny made it to his locker and saw the poster that had been on the wall next to it was replaced.

Instead of the usual silhouette that took most of the center of the poster, now showed a girl with vibrant blue hair, pale skin, purple lipstick, and black makeup like what everyone was wearing. The girl was also holding a very unique guitar that could only be one of a kind. She had the punk rocker look as she had a black single-strap crop top, leather pants, and elevated skull boots. All of which did nothing to hide her figure.

Danny tilted his head as he asked himself. "Is this Ember McClain?"

"Of course it is!"

Danny jumped before turning around to see Kwan standing behind him.

Kwan smiled down at Dany before looking at the poster. "Where you been, Fenton? Under a rock? She did her big reveal last night! Everyone saw her on their TVs!"

Danny gulped as he tried to come up with an excuse. In a much too nervous voice, he spoke. "I was out with a friend for most of the day so I didn't see any tv while I was out. And when I got home, I had to finish my homework." He was really glad that Kwan didn't seem to notice his unbelieving lie as the Asian Jock was eyeing the poster.

"Man, you missed out. She told everyone that she would be doing teasers throughout town for her concert."

Danny went wide-eyed as he heard that. "Wait, she is having a concert? Here!? In Amity?!"

Kwan slammed his hand on Danny's back as he nodded. "Yeah, she said we should keep our ears open 'cause there's no telling where she'll show up!"

Danny rubbed his back as the hit was rough on him, but he smiled up at Kwan before looking at the poster. "Man, it would be awesome to go to her concert."

Kwan frowned at what Danny said and quickly figured out what the issue was. "Hey, if you want I can spot you a ticket when they come out. I mean, it would be a crime against nature to not go to her concert."

Danny smiled at Kwan before shaking his head. "No~pe. It's fine, Kwan. don't wanna take money from you when I know that you will want to buy some of her merchandise when you go." He looked at the jock's attire and smirked. "Though, I'm sure you have enough of that already."

Kwan chuckled a bit at that. "If you say so, Fenton."

The two were brought out of their little conversation when…..

"Ember! Go Ember! Ember! Remember! Ember!"

Everyone in close proximity covered their ears as Tucker walked by with his PDA playing Ember Mclain's song and him singing, if it can be called that, very poorly along with the song, and getting the word placement wrong.

As Tucker walked by Kwan, the jock, on instinct, grabbed Tucker by the shirt, opened a locker, and stuffed him in before sighing in relief as the terrible singing stopped.

Danny blinked at Kwan before saying. "You know he will keep singing once he gets out."

Kwan nodded. "Yeah, but you can't deny that getting him to stop for a bit helps." Kwan then began to leave as he wanted to get to class. "Later, Fenton, if you change your mind, let me know!"

Danny waved at Kwan before looking through the hall. Seeing that no one was looking, he turned his arm intangible and reached into the locker, before pulling Tucker out. He watched as Tucker fell to the ground and laid there in a daze. He sighed before walking away.

Tucker sat up and looked around in confusion. "What happened?"

Danny didn't know where the school got the money to buy all these computers and high-tech helmets but it wasn't really that important. He did think Lancer saying out loud that their scores on the upcoming test would affect his bonus was a little… self-centered on the teacher's part but hey, if this thing could help him study faster to catch up on the things he missed because of the ghost hunting, he was ok with it. He watched as Mr. Lancer pressed the button in order to start the thing but….

"EMBER~ Go on and tell her~~~! You~ will remember~ my na~me!"

Danny was surprised to hear the hit single from Ember McClain start to play as everyone else jumped up from their seats and cheer. 'She is getting really popular.'

Mr. Lancer turned off the machine that was meant to help him get his bonus and ejected the slot that was supposed to hold the educational disk. Only to find a cd. He pulled it out before hearing music start playing again. Believing it was the techno-geek that had been playing it in the halls, he pointed at him. "Foley, turn off that PDA!"

Tucker brought his hands up in surrender. "It's not me, it's coming from outside!"

The whole class moved to the window and saw a truck pull up in front of the school with what looked like a stage as its cargo.

Everyone started hearing music coming from the stage, music that got all of them cheering.

"Yeah~~ Oh ooh oh oh, oh~"

As if a signal, the strum of a guitar got every student in the school to abandon their class and run out to stand around the stage.

Danny was able to be one of the first to come out of the school and was able to stand to the side of the door as the other students burst through and almost bulldozed through him. He let out a breath as the crowd was made around the stage. Though he had to deadpan as he saw Tucker jump off the steps as if trying to do a crowd surf. But he was surprised to see that Tucker was lifted from the ground and then actually crowd-surfed closer. "Ok, that's something that I didn't expect to see." He looked back to the stage and thought it was amazing to see the rockstar that had been taking the music world by storm.

"WE LOVE YOU, EMBER!"

Ember felt a rush of power come over her as she heard the cheering from the students. Her hair flared up in conjunction with her power increase. She smirked as she answered the shout. "That's because my music fills a void in your empty lives."

"You're right!"

Danny raised an eyebrow at Tucker fully agreeing with that statement but he couldn't fault him much on that because he agreed to some extent about music filling in some void in a person's life. It just depends on the person. Some enjoy music just for enjoyment, some listen to music to calm down or pump themselves up, and there are those who live for the music, whether they write it, sing it, or make it. It was then that his ghost sense went off. "Oh, great." He looked up in the air to see if he could spot any sign of what ghost it could be. It was as he was doing this, that he was almost knocked over by Mr. Lancer. He looked to see the teacher get up on a hydrant with a megaphone.

{Attention, freakishly dressed teen idol, I order for you to cease and desist!}

Danny had to give it to Mr. Lancer, he was dedicated to what he wanted. Whether that was the bonus or the actual education of the students… he wasn't sure.

Ember paused in her singing as she heard the man telling her to stop. She glared at the man as what the man said got to her. She was reminded of something. Something she didn't want to remember. With some sense of vindication, she turned the dial on her guitar. "Desist this, teach!" She strummed her guitar and sent out a wave of energy towards the man.

The students cheers as they thought the wave was nothing but a light show.

She would have just hypnotized the teens to attack the man but the words he used, just got to her.

"Why are you dressed so freakishly!?"

She shoved that memory down as she watched her attack head towards the man. Her eyes widened though when she saw some kid, who was standing by the entrance, transform into who she assumed to be the rumored Danny Phantom. She watched as he jumped towards the teacher and gripped the man's shirt. She noticed the tells of intangibility and saw her attack phase through. "Hmph, teacher's pet." She wasn't in the mood for a fight and figured that she should wait till her powers increased more before she went toe to toe with the ghost hero. 'Time to book it.' Her hair swirled around her and she disappeared from the area.

The stage that had arrived for Ember, was enveloped by smoke and disappeared. This got more cheers from the students as they figured that it was special effects.

Danny sighed in relief as he saw that Mr. Lancer was alright. 'This was bittersweet.' He let go of the man's shirt before he flew up and face where the stage was. "Alright, time to….. Hey, where'd they go?" he looked around for any sight of them but it was like it was never there.

"Alright, all of you are going to get detention for not being in class!"

Danny looked down to see Mr. Lancer trying to rally all of the students back into the building. Figuring he didn't want to take his chances, he flew back towards the classroom. 'Maybe I can avoid detention if he sees I'm still in class."

~Next day~

Turns out, that it didn't matter if Mr. Lancer saw him in the classroom. The man was mad enough to just give them all detention.

Danny didn't really mind it since he had been getting detention so much lately that it was used to do what homework he had. But this time, Danny spent his time in detention trying to wrap his head around the fact that Ember is a ghost

Today he was going over what he knew as he walked into the school. 'Ok, she's apparently a ghost, she can send out ecto waves from her guitar, her music's good…and that's it. Wow, I don't know a thing.' once he turned the corner of another hall, he stopped as the Ember merchandise had doubled. More people wearing wigs, them wearing makeup to match Ember more, skull boots, and black tank tops. 'Ember clones everywhere.'

He didn't know how to handle this one since he had no idea what her motive is. All she did was come to the school, play her music and then leave. Sure she attacked Mr. Lancer but that didn't mean she was evil. He just had to keep an eye on her.

He walked to his locker and put in the code just as he heard.

"GREAT GATSBY, where did all this stuff even come from?!"

Danny looked down the hall to see Mr. Lancer having a fit from all the Ember stuff. "Well, it is a surprise." He opened his locker and grabbed his books before Paulina ran into the hall and called out.

"Hey, everybody! Ember is giving away free tickets to her concert at the pavilion!"

This caused everyone in earshot to drop what they were doing and begin running towards the exit.

Danny had to press himself against the lockers as they ran past. He watched them leave till he saw a familiar orange-haired girl run past. "Jazz!?"

There in the crowd of students was Jazz Fenton, running to leave the school.

Danny stared dumbfounded at the sight. 'Ok, something is wrong. Jazz isn't even the last person to consider leaving school, she is the only person who would stay in class during an earthquake.' He watched as Mr. Lancer tried to stop the students with his body, only to be bulled over by them. Danny looked around to see that he was the only one left in the hall and was starting to think that he was the only student in the building now. "...oookkaaay. Wonder if this counts as a day off?"

"Not in this day and age."

Danny turned around to see Mr. Lancer standing there with his arms crossed. He had footprints all over him and seemed to have a black eye but he still maintained his professional demeanor. "You may be the only remaining student in the school but that won't stop me from giving you an education." he grabbed the boy's arm before he began to drag him towards the classroom.

Danny was following the man as he thought about the school being abandoned. Normally he would have just let it go and head to class but the fact that Jazz ran out of school meant that there was somthing going on. Ember being a ghost added to that. 'I really hope this doesn't come back to bite me." He phased his arm out of the man's grasp and went invisible as he flew p through the ceiling. Once he was outside, he shouted "I'm Going Ghost!" His transformation rings form and soon he became Danny Phantom. "I gotta use my battle cry more often." he then flew off into the sky. "It's fun."

Danny made it to the pavilion far earlier than the rest of his school. So far, he hadn't seen anything that was cause for alarm and his ghost sense hadn't gone off. "Pauline said that ember was giving away free tickets. Is this not the place?" He was sitting on one of the rafters looking down at the whole pavilion. He was swinging his legs as he waited for something to happen. He was a little bored but he had to admit that it was better than sitting in class, even more so if he was the only one in it.

After fifteen minutes, the whole place became filled with teenagers from not only Casper High but their rival schools.

"EMBER! EMBER! EMBER!"

As the chanting started, Danny's ghost sense went off. He stood up from his seat and got ready. "Here we go."

Suddenly, a burst of blue flames swirled at a high platform that stood over a large screen that showed Ember's face. Ember appeared from the flames as she looked down at the teens. Out of her pockets, she pulled out a handful of tickets and threw them in the air, and watched them fall to the audience, who jumped up to try and get them. She smirked as she pulled out a remote and pressed a button.

Two large spherical containers on the ceiling split open to drop down hundreds of tickets. All of which were grabbed by the kids.

"TELL! ME! WHO! YOU! LOVE!"

"EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER!"

Ember tilted her head back and felt her power increase. It was like taking in a breath of crisp fresh air. She opened her eyes and saw Phantom. Feeling her power reaching new levels, she smirked as she swung her guitar and strummed a cord.

Danny was watching the other teens go crazy for the tickets. He would have grabbed one but he was busy at the moment. It was as he was looking at the teens that he noticed something. If he narrowed his eyes and focused, he saw a small haze around their heads. It was so faint that he would have never noticed it before. 'What is that?' He didn't have a chance to think about it more as he noticed Ember send a wave of ecto energy at him. "Woah!" He jump-flipped over the wave before landing back on the rafters and looking up at her. He grew serious as she gave him a cocky smirk. "Ok, guess I don't have to hold back then." He flew at her with his hands lighting up with ecto energy. He sent out an Ecto-ray at her as he got closer

Ember shifted her body to let the blast pass her before she flew backward in tandem with his advance. Her hands lit up in blue flames before she sent out a stream of it at him. Since he was too close to dodge, he took the brunt of it and was sent back.

"Argh!" Danny recovered from the blast and ducked as Ember swung her guitar at his head. Charging his hands, he sent out a double Ecto blast into her stomach. Seeing her get hit and hearing the cry of pain, he followed up with a tackle and flew them through the ceiling.

Once they phased through the roof, Ember brought her hands down on his back and got him off her. She then sent out an ecto blast of her own and hit the mark, causing Danny to crash. She swung her guitar back in front of her and turned the dial before hitting a chord, sending a large Ecto fist at him.

Danny got up on a knee and saw the large fist heading his way. On instinct, he charged his right fist with Ecto Energy, pushed himself into a standing position, and threw his fist to meet the blast.

A large explosion enveloped the roof as Ember looked on impressed. "Not bad, Dipstick."

"'Dipstick', that's a new one." the smoke cleared to show Danny with his fist extended and smoking. "But not the worst thing, I've been called." he shook his hand to get the stinging to stop. He may have countered the blast but it still hurt.

Down on the streets, the teens watched the fight with one familiar orangette spoke. "Mindless teenage music and a killer light show, could this show get any better?"

"EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER!"

Ember felt her power grow even higher. She smirked at Danny as she brought her arm up. "Well, let's see you try that again!" She sent out another Ecto fist at him.

Danny was surprised about the second attack as not only was it bigger, but it was faster as well. He tried to do the same thing but on contact, the explosion sent him flying. "ARRGH!" Danny crashed onto the next roof over as he rolled to a stop. He slowly pushed himself onto his hands and knees as he looked up to see Ember floating down towards him. He thought about what was different from the first time she used it to the second. His ears picked up the chanting and put the pieces together as it was the only difference. "Chanting….. Hrgh …. Makes you stronger." He got onto his wobbly legs as he held his ribs.

"Got that right, Dipstick. And the more people chanting, the stronger I GET!" she struck another cord as she sent an Ecto wave with skulls chomping in it.

Danny dived to the side to avoid the attack since he wasn't sure how much longer he could fight.

"And just wait till midnight, when my concert goes global and the whole world is CHANTING MY NAME!"

Danny stood up once again as he asked. "And what is it that you did to them?"

She smirked as she landed. "Oh, just a bit of mental suggestion. Every artist has her gimmick."

Danny thought about what that could mean and blurted out. "Hypnosis?"

"Got it in one." She turned the dial of her guitar as she gave an evil smile at him. "And now with all of them chanting my name, my music can affect even you. Let's see if I can make you more agreeable." she lifted her arms ready to strike it.

Danny's eyes widened and didn't want to chance himself being taken over. He took a step back and felt he was on the roof's edge. Seeing her strike a chord and send a wave of energy his way, he did the only thing he could. He leaned back and flipped over the side of the roof, avoiding the wave. He allowed gravity to guide him and went intangible to phase through the ground.

Ember watched as Danny ran away and smirked in victory. "Run while you can, Dipstick. Once the world chants my name, I will be unstoppable." She flew off back to the pavilion to get the teens to chant her name even more.

Danny phased out of the ground in an alley and leaned against the wall. "Great. Chanting makes her stronger, I'm worn out, and I only have one last chance to stop her from hypnotizing the world. And I'm on my own. No pressure. Where's Desiree when you need her." He knew she must have been in her realm since she wasn't at her normal haunt at the wishing fountain. And he had no idea how to get to her realm to ask for help, not to mention that he felt bad asking her to help him fight. Dora even less so since Dora normally couldn't fight unless she was in her dragon form. This was something he had to do on his own since he didn't want to put a problem on their shoulders.

Danny took a breath and figured he needed rest before trying again. He had to think of something and he was running out of time. He decided to fly home, wanting to get to his bed to rest. He paused though when a helicopter came out of nowhere and he instinctively turned invisible.

{Attention, Students! By the authority of the emergency mass grounding acts, you are all under house arrest.}

Dany looked towards where the voice was coming from to see Mr. Lancer with a megaphone again. But this time he had a SWAT team taking the other kids. He shook his head as he didn't know how to take this. Spinning in the air, he flew off toward his house. If he was lucky, he could get some rest before round two.

He should have known that his luck wasn't that good.

"Both of you skipped school and went off to that delinquent's noise party when you should be studying for the North Western 9 Testing that is tomorrow!"

Danny and Jazz were standing in front of their parents as they were being reprimanded.

Both parents had their arms crossed as they looked down at them in disappointment

Danny was still holding his ribs but with how sheepish he normally was, the parents assumed that he was just feeling guilty.

Danny was only partially listening to his parents as he was sure that he was going to be grounded or something. He was getting used to getting in trouble but today was a day he would have to break it. Though he did mentally slap himself since he actually forgot about the test that he had to do tomorrow. 'Why couldn't Ember have done this next week? Why couldn't I get a week of free time to study for that stupid test?'

Jack huffed as he spoke. "I would send you both to the Fenton Stockades but that was destroyed after test number fifty-three… or was it sixty-five?" he rubbed his chin trying to remember when they broke the stockades.

Maddie sighed in disappointment before looking at her kids. "The both of you are grounded and forbidden from leaving your room."

Surprisingly, it was Jazz that spoke out. "You can't do that! You can't stop us from seeing Ember!"

Jack frowned at this. "We can and will. Now both of you go to your room and stay there till the morning!"

Jazz was about to protest but the look on her parents' look, she scowled before stomping up the stairs.

The two parents watched Jazz leave before looking at Danny. Maddie frowned and spoke. "That means you too, young man."

Danny stood there for a minute, looking down at the ground before he slowly made his way towards his room.

The parents looked at each other before they sighed.

Jack rubbed his head as he spoke softly. "What could have gotten into Jazz? She would never act like this before."

Maddie shook her head. "I don't know. I know Danny has been failing in school but Jazz? It just doesn't seem right."

"Who knows."

Danny made it to his room and sat on his bed trying to think of what he could do. "With how strong she is from the chanting she got from the teens, I can't imagine how strong she would be if the world is chanting." He could already feel the rest of his body hurt from the thought. He figured that his best chance would be to stop her before she could start singing. He would also need to try and end the fight fast so she couldn't use her guitar. He paused as his mind came up with something. "If I can get her guitar and destroy it, I might be able to stop her powers." It was the best his mind could come up with. He looked down at the hand he used to counter her blast. It still stung from the attempts and he really didn't want to try it again. Feeling his energy leave him he laid down and let out a heavy sigh as he closed his eyes, soon unwillingly falling asleep.

Danny was in a deep sleep as he had an odd dream.

Flames.

Nothing but flames

He spun around trying to find a way out of the flames but he couldn't even move. The flames seemed to get closer and closer to him and he could feel the heat from them. He tried to cover himself to block out the heat but he began to breathe heavily.

It was then that he heard something.

"Remember my name!"

Danny tried to look around for the voice but the next thing he knew…. Was the scream.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Danny bolted up from his bed and let out gasps of air. He looked around to see he was back in his room. He took a big inhale before holding it and letting it out.

yeah~~ Woah~ oh oh oh~

Danny looked out the window at the sound of embers music. He poked his head out to see a van with ember's logo on it driving away. Not only that but he saw teens jumping out of their houses to run after the van. Bringing his head back in, he looked at the clock to see that it was 11:30. "Crap!" He panicked as he now only had thirty minutes till she was broadcast worldwide. He transformed and flew out of his room. He paused as realized that he had no idea where the concert was. "Great, now I gotta find the place Ember is going to start her world domination." he spun around trying to get a feel of anything…..only to pause as he saw the spotlights waving back and forth some distance away. "Or I could just go in the obvious direction." was his sheepish reply to himself before he flew off to stop Ember.

~backstage~

Ember was looking at herself in the mirror as she mentally prepped herself for this concert. She took a deep breath before smirking at herself. She didn't need to breathe but it is a helpful way to calm her nerves.

The reason she was a little nervous was because this is the first time she would do a concert in the human world. She had done concerts before but only in the ghost zone. Before her death, she dreamed about being a rockstar on the stage in front of a screaming audience. She could only guess that the only reason she was nervous was due to the fact that she was now doing it in the world she always wanted to be a rockstar in.

Memories of a brown-haired meek girl, drawing an outfit similar to the one she was wearing on her bed came to her mind. Another of the girl buying a blue guitar with purple flames only to later be yelled at by her parents telling her that she was inviting the devil into the house.

The last was her hugging the guitar as orange flickered in her eye.

Ember shook her head as she tried to shove the memories out of her mind. "No one is going to stop me from this. They're gone, all of them, and I won't ever have to see them again." Her mind then went to one person that would try and stop her. She scowled at that. "Dipstick doesn't have the power to stop me. He couldn't handle me when I got the power boost from before. He'll be nothing but an ant when the world is chanting my name." She heard the chanting of her name from the audience waiting for her appearance. She felt a small boost in power and was excited at the thought of the world doing it. She looked at the clock to see that there were only fifteen minutes left and she frowned as she wondered to herself. "Where is she? She said she would be here early."

Danny was closing in on the concert and could hear the chanting already. "Great, she's getting chanting already." He flew faster to get there but he stopped when his ghost sense went off. He stopped mid-air and was about to get into a fighting stance till….

"Danny?"

Danny spun around in shock to see a ghost he wasn't looking for. "Kitty? What are you doing here?"

Kitty had her hand on her hip as she looked confused at Danny's appearance. "I'm here for the concert, duh." her look of confusion changed into a smile. "And I guess you are too. Especially since you were listening to Ember's song on the roof a few days ago."

Danny went slack-jawed at that. "Wait, you know her?"

Kitty gained a haughty smirk as she placed a hand on her chest. "Of, course. Me and Ember are BFALs."

Danny tilted his head in confusion. "'Bfals?"

"Best friends after life."

Danny slumped at that but he had more important things to deal with. "Sorry, Kitty, but I'm not here to enjoy the concert. I'm here to stop it."

Kitty's smile dropped to a look of shock. "What?! Why!?"

Danny gained a serious look. "She plans on hypnotizing the word in order to take it over. She already took over the minds of all the teens in amity. I can't allow that to happen." He clenched his fists as he was ready for anything. "Stay out of my way, Kitty. I like you, but this isn't something I can ignore."

Kitty frowned as she crossed her arms. "Are you really going to attack me, Danny?"

"I don't want to. I really…. Don't want to. But if she is going to take over the world, and you try and stop me, I will have to."

The two stared each other down, with Danny waiting for her to make a move.

Kitty instead sighed. "Danny, you don't get anything do you?"

Danny raised an eyebrow at that. "What's that supposed to mean?"

Kitty shook her head. "Danny, did you hear the song she is famous for?"

Danny was still confused about where she was going with this. "What's her song got to do with anything?"

"Everything." Kitty bit her lip as this was something that she was not supposed to tell anyone. Ember had told her this story because they were best friends. And normally a story is just that, a story, but this was something extremely personal to a ghost. To all ghosts.

The story of their death

"Look, Danny, Ember isn't a bad girl. She just has something to prove."

Danny crossed his arms as he gained a hard look. "What does she have to prove? That she can take over the minds of people and gain power from them?"

"No, you idiot! She…"

Danny saw her pause and wondered what the hell was going on. But as he opened his mouth to ask, he heard the crowd cheering even louder. "Crap, is she starting?!" Choosing to ignore Kitty, he spun around and flew toward the concert.

Kitty saw him spin around and knew he was about to fly off. Seeing him do just that, she flew after him while calling out. "DANNY! THINK OF HER SONG! SHE ISN'T A BAD GHOST! TRUST ME!" She wished that he wasn't as fast as he was but his flight speed was leagues ahead of her own.

Danny had heard Kitty and wondered what she meant. 'Think of her song? What about it?' He continued to fly toward where his fight with Ember would take place while in his head, he thought about Kitty's words. He turned invisible as he arrived at the stage and had to thank his lucky stars that she hadn't started yet. He'd look at his phone to check the time but he had left it on his dresser back in his room in his panic. In a low voice, he spoke to himself. "Come on, ghost sense, help me out here." He looked left and right of the stage to figure out which way to go. But he didn't have to since a spiral of flames appeared in front of him, center stage. He lowered into his fighting stance as he gulped down his nervousness. He waited for her to fully reveal herself before dropping invisibility.

Ember came out of her flames with a confident smirk on her face but it dropped when none other than Phantom appeared in the visible spectrum. "Didn't learn your lesson the first time, Dipstick?"

Dany smirked back at her. "I've always been a terrible student."

Ember couldn't stop the smirk from coming onto her face. "Well, I guess you'll need some extra LESSONS!" She quickly lifted up her arm before swiping it down hard on her guitar strings, sending a massive wave of pink Ecto energy.

Dany channeled as much energy as he could into his fist and did an uppercut into the air, sending out his own Vertical wave to meet her horizontal one.

The two waves impacted with the impact zone of each being canceled out by the other, sending the remnants of the waves to fly harmlessly past them.

Danny looked behind him to see her wave fly way over the heads of the crowd and dissipated before hitting anything. 'I wasn't even sure I could even do that or if it would even work.' He felt a little winded from the attack but was glad he put the right amount of it into the attack. He looked back to Ember and moved to the side so that any attack she sends his way wouldn't head in the direction of the audience. As he did he saw a look on her face he couldn't decipher.

Ember was impressed by how he deflected her attack. With the amount of power she had in her, she was sure that he would be blasted away and out of commission till she was done. Especially since he ran away from her when she sent that empowered Ecto fist earlier. Sure she held back a bit since she wasn't aiming to kill him, but still. "Let's see if you can keep going." She turned the dial of her guitar to an icon that looked like double waves before she began to play what has to be considered a guitar solo, sending rapid wave after wave at him.

Danny panicked at the oncoming attack and channeled an abundant amount of energy into his fists before he began to swipe at the air, sending his own waves to counter hers.

The faces in the crowd were lit up with Pink and green as they watched in awe at the show they got. They began to cheer at the spectacle. "EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER!"

Ember's smirk grew as she felt her power grow, with her hair bursting higher. Her attacks began to speed up and gain in size.

Danny gritted his teeth as sweat began to run down his face as he continued to swipe his glowing fists. Her waves were starting to get closer to him till he was no longer sending waves to intercept them, but swiping his fists at them. "Hrrn! Eeerrggh! Nnrn!" Soon a few of them impacted his body but he continued to destroy as many as he could. But more and more began to hit him and he was giving it his all to fight through the pain. 'And the world isn't even chanting!' It soon proved to be too much and he lost focus before he was bombarded by the waves.

Ember let out a laugh as she finished off with a much larger wave.

The wave of energy hit Danny head-on, causing an explosion that sent him flying backstage.

Ember felt great after beating the Dipstick into next week. "That'll keep him out of the way. Now for my adoring audience." She turned towards them and shouted out. "TELL! ME! WHO! YOU! LOVE!"

"EMBER! EMBER! EMBER!"

The rockstar smiled at the chanting and made her way to the mic.

Danny pulled himself out of the rubble that fell on him as he looked back on stage to see her at the mic. "Damn it. I don't know what Kitty meant about her not being a bad ghost. My bruises could be exhibit A for why she is." Danny was bruised and scorched, with pieces of his jumpsuit torn but he wasn't finished yet. His mind focused on what Kitty said but was still drawing a blank. 'Think of her song.' He played the main part of the song in his head but nothing seemed to stand out other than Ember saying "you will remember my name". Shaking himself a bit, he phased through the ground to continue the fight.

Ember took a deep breath before she brought her hand to the strings.

But before she could start, Danny phased through the ground and swiped the mic away. "Sorry, I'm going to have to cancel this concert. Too many violations of common decency."

Ember scowled at him as she gripped her guitar harder. "Who are you to try and stop the revolution!?"

Danny gripped the mic as if it was a staff as he snapped back. "When you plan to hypnotize the whole world, I feel it is my responsibility to stop you."

Ember growled as she brought up her guitar and swung it at him as if it was a bat.

Danny ducked under the swing before he brought up the mic to block the following overhead smash. "Why do you even need to hypnotize anyone when your music is great on its own?!" he grunted as he held up the mic while she pushed her guitar down on him.

"What would you know?" she took a step forward, forcing him to take a step back.

"Grrrnn, well, before I found out you were even using it to take over the minds of teens, I actually liked your song!" As an afterthought, he mumbled out. "Even started humming it to myself when I wasn't listening to it." His knees began to buckle under the pressure.

Ember's scowl dropped for a second, blinking in shock as she was caught off guard by his statement but she quickly recovered. "Liar!"

"Oh, yeah. Cause lying about something like that in the middle of this fight is going to give me an advantage." He started putting more and more energy into his limbs to try and regain his footing. His pupils suddenly narrowed as scales began to form on the side of his chin. Feeling his second wind kick in, he pushed harder against Ember's guitar and was starting to straighten his stance. Soon he was in a gridlock with Ember as he tried to push her back but with the power she had, all he could do was stay in a stalemate. "Hypnotizing the world to obey you, to chant your name, to gain popularity?! Sounds like a hollow way to get what you want."

Ember would have been surprised by how he was able to stand back up but her mind was flashing back to what he said. Something she noticed about him was that he wasn't swayed by her music like the other teens. He wasn't affected by the hypnotism, so there was no driving force telling him to like her music.

He liked it of his own volition.

Danny didn't notice her stunned silence as he was too focused on the fight. He quickly thought of a way to beat her back and enacted it. Turning his upper body intangible, he let his left hand slip under the pole of the mic. The mic spun around Danny's right hand and went flying from the force of Ember's guitar.

Ember stumbled forward from the lack of resistance and didn't have a chance to regain her balance.

Danny took advantage of this as he lowered himself before he brought his fist up and landed a hard uppercut to her chin.

Seeing Ember fly into the air, he sent an Ecto Ray that exploded on impact and sent her careening back to the ground. He jumped into the air before cupping his hands and charged an orb of Ecto Energy. Once it was big enough, he sent a large Ecto ray to where Ember crashed.

The explosion caused a large plum of smoke to engulf a large part of the stage.

The audience paused, as they saw this. They still thought it was a show so they waited for Ember to come out. After a few seconds of dead silence, one of them started.

"...Ember…Ember….. Ember…"

Another joined him.

"Ember…Ember….Ember!"

More and more people joined in and soon the chanting became louder.

"EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER! EMBER!"

Danny was panting while maintaining altitude but he looked incredulously at the crowd. "What the hell? Do they think this is some show or something?" It was then that his eyes caught sight of a flash of pink in the smoke. He had only a split second to send a double-palm Ecto blast to counter the pink Ecto blast.

The smoke was blown away to show Ember with her arms thrown forward as she sent her Ecto blast.

The two beams were evenly matched for a few seconds, but when the audience noticed Ember, they cheered louder and called out her name. Embers blast began to gain headway and close in on Danny.

Danny on the other hand was losing energy. His eyes turned back to normal and the scales on his chin faded. It didn't take long till he felt the heat from her blast. "I… can't….. hold….. On…. AAAARRRGGGHHH!" The blast overtook him and he was sent flying. He flew back till the top half of his body hit a rafter hard before he fell to the ground hard.

Ember watched him lie on the ground and waited for him to move. After a few seconds, she figured he wasn't going to get up again. She let out a sigh before she put her hands on her hips. "Gave me a nice workout but only one can stand on top." She picked up her guitar and wiped some dust off it before she moved to stand where she should have been at the start. "YOU READY TO ROCK!?" she smirked as she heard the crowd cheer for her. Grabbing her pick, she lifted her arm in the air.

…but she didn't bring it down.

Ember found that she couldn't bring down her arm. But it wasn't any outside force that did it. It was the words that Phantom said to her.

"Why do you even need to hypnotize anyone when your music is great on its own?!"

"Sounds like a hollow way to get what you want."

Ember scowled at nothing in particular as she couldn't bring herself to start. Her mind kept repeating the words he said and she started to wonder. 'He just said that to try and get under my skin. He's just like the rest of them, saying what he can to hurt me. He's no different from those bastards.' she tried to convince herself that he was just another asshole she had to deal with, the fight being a big help towards that thought. But the way he said her music was great….. Seemed so genuine. Not like when she was lied to before with a fake smile, but like he truly meant what he said. Sure she had heard compliments about her music before but those were usually saying" you were great" or "nice concert". But he said her music was great. Something she had strived for, for so long.

Danny laid on his side where he landed as he mentally tried to find the will to get up and try one more time. He knew that he was fighting a losing battle, especially since she was getting stronger the longer they fought. 'I should get hazard pay for all the bruises, cuts, and burns I get from these fights.' He expected to hear Ember start singing and start her world-domination plan. But after a few seconds, he hadn't heard anything. Thinking of the song once more, he tried to think of what Kitty meant. This time, he chose to start from the beginning of the song. He skimmed through the words trying to catch whatever it was Kitty meant. 'It was September. Winds blow, the dead leaves fall. To you I did surrender. Two weeks, you….didn't call…..' His eyes began to widen as the words of the song, started to paint a picture in his head. He rolled onto his stomach and push himself up to his elbows. He looked up towards the stage to see ember standing there, with her arm up but not playing. 'Your life goes on without me, my life, a losing game. But you should not doubt me…..you will remember my name.'

Danny now saw that the words of the first part of the song weren't just catchy words for a song.

They were a story.

When the story is connected to the main part of the song, it sounds more like a cry. Not a cry for help but a cry for attention. To get the attention of someone that shunned her and left her behind. To show that she had become something, something to never forget, and to make him feel regret.

Not only that, but since the story was at the start of the song, and the tone was softer than the rest of the song, it almost felt like it was her crying out her story. A story that was forever burned into her.

The hypnosis also added to the cry for attention. To make it so the ones subjected to it pay attention to her, to hear her story.

He may be grasping at straws to explain this, but something in him told him he was close to the truth.

He pushed himself to stand and wobbly walked to the end of the curtain that covered the side of the stage. He saw the look of distress she had on her face as she stood there. His mind then went to Desiree and how she was bound to grant any wish she heard. Sure, she was freed from that because of his grumbling and word usage but he was glad to help her out. 'Would she need help to get past this?' He almost threw that thought out of his head as the punk girl rocker seemed confident enough to get through anything herself. Yet that look on her face said otherwise. 'Fighting her now is only going to finish me off. But what can I even do?' He looked around for anything that could give him an idea, but the thing that caught his attention made him groan. 'I guess that's one way.' His cheeks flushed green as he took a deep breath to steel himself.

Ember still stood there with all her motivation dying within her. 'Hypnotizing them would get me what I want but…. What he said….. It being hallow….. Doesn't make it seem appealing anymore.' She thought about the other thing he said and wondered. 'Would they even like it if I didn't add my power to it?' Her mind flashed back to the time she was alive and all the ridicule she got for her dream. The lack of anyone saying she could make it. Everyone saying her music was no good. Her arm lowered slowly till it layed on the top of her guitar. She let out a despondent sigh as her confident demeanor was gone, all from the words of a Dipstick.

it was~ it was September

Wi~nds blow, the dead leaves fall~. To you, she did surrender~. Two weeks, you didn't call~

Embers shot open wide as she spun around as her song began to be sung.

And she wasn't the one singing

Your life goes on without her~ She's in~ a losing game. But you should~ you should not doubt her~}

Danny walked up to stand next to Ember as he sang a slightly altered version of the song. This was her story, not his. He looked toward Ember and gave her an understanding smile and nod

You will remember her name~

Ember couldn't help but smirk back at him as she felt something in her core light up. With a quick motion, she brought her arm up before bringing it down on her guitar, cueing her band to start playing and a burst of fire shot up around them.

OH~ EMBER~ YOU WILL REMEMBER~! EMBER~ ONE THING REMAINS~! OH~ EMBER! SO WARM AND TENDER~~

YOU WILL REMEMBER MY NAME

The crowd burst out into cheers as the song picked up

Danny flew into the air as the band played their song. He watched as the crowd enjoyed the concert and he started to notice that the haze around their heads began to fade away one by one. And they still cheered. He smiled as ember was getting the cheers without her hypnotism.

Your heart~ your heart has mended~

You're off, now bear the shame.

Like dead trees, in cold December~

Nothing but ashes remain~

OH~, EMBER~ YOU WILL REMEMBER~! EMBER~ ONE THING REMAINS~. EMBER~ SO WARM AND TENDER~

YOU WILL REMEMBER MY NAME~~

OH~ OOH~ OH OH~, EMBER~ YOU WILL REMEMBER~! EMBER~ ONE THING REMAINS~~. EMBER~ SO WARM AND TENDER~

YOU WILL REMEMBER MY NAME~~

YEAH~ YOU WILL REMEMBER MY NAME~~

The audience burst out into cheers as they chanted her name.

Ember couldn't stop the smile from spreading on her face as she saw they still cheered her name. She could feel her power increasing thanks to the word-wide broadcast but it felt so much more now than ever before. As her eyes roamed the people, she looked up to see Danny looking down at her with a concerned look. She smiled up at him and gave a small nod.

Danny smiled back at her before he flew off.

She looked back to the cheering crowd before throwing her arms in the air. "THANK YOU AMITY PARK! I HAD A BLAST PERFORMING HERE FOR YA AND I WILL SEE YOU ALL AGAIN!"

The crowd cheered louder at the thought of Ember playing for them again.

Ember then pointed to a camera that was getting a front shot at her. "And to the rest of the world, keep your ears open because who knows where I might end up. You hear my song, and I just might be in your neck of the woods, ready to take the world by storm!"

With the deafening cheers, Ember burst into spiraling flame and left the stage. She reappeared backstage before moving over to the mini-fridge meant for the staff and grabbing a bottle of water from inside.

"That was a hell of a concert, Em."

Ember looked behind her to see Kitty smiling at her with her arms crossed. Ember though gained a scowl. "Kitty, Where the hell were you?!"

Kitty put a hand on her chest. "Me? I was in the crowd enjoying your performance."

This didn't stop the scowl on Ember's face. "I could have used your help earlier, you know."

Kitty looked aghast at that. "Are you kidding? You expected me to get in the middle of the battle of the gods!? Sorry, girl, but a fighter I am not."

Ember rolled her eyes. "Oh, stuff it. It wasn't that bad."

"Em, the amount of power you two were sending out would have left craters the size of houses. If it weren't for the fact that the stage was coated with your Ecot energy and Danny getting you to shoot in the air, the whole concert would have been a pile of rubble."

Ember didn't really think about the amount of power she was sending out or the power Phantom was returning but if what Kitty said was true, then maybe it was a good thing that Kitty didn't join in the fun

"Besides, me and Danny are getting to be good friends and I know he isn't a bad guy."

"A goody two shoes is what he is."

"Yeah, but is that a bad thing? He did start off your song for ya. Didn't know he could sing, and sing pretty good too."

Ember shook her head as she took a gulp of water. "He was ok. Nowhere near good enough to be a singer."

Kitty shrugged. "Still better than a lot of people. Now I gotta go before Johnny does something stupid again. We can hang out later before you go off on your global road trip." She gave Ember a quick hug before flying in the air. "Oh, and one more thing, Em."

Ember raised an eyebrow as she didn't know what else Kitty had to say.

Kitty gave a smile reminiscent of her namesake. "Told you so!" She then phased through the ceiling before Ember could say anything.

Ember deadpanned at the spot, as she grumbled to herself. The "I told you so" was because before she came to the living world, Kitty told her that she didn't have to use her hypnosis to get the populace to love her music. Now that it was proven she was right, the green-haired ghost will never let her forget it. She sat down and crossed her arms and legs as she thought about the one that had made her realize it. "Hmm…" she gained a smirk as she thought of something she could do. She stood up before she was enveloped in blue flames

Danny phased through the ceiling into his room as he transformed back into his human form. His knees gave out as he no longer had the energy to stand up. Thankfully, he fell onto his bed and sat there as he felt exhausted by the events that took place today, or rather yesterday.

It was already 2:30 AM.

Danny dropped his head into his hands and groaned as it was another late night.

"Aw, what's wrong? Late-night partying with a rockstar?"

Danny's head shot up as he heard a voice that shouldn't be there. Appearing in the middle of the room was the Ember Mclain. Danny tried to get up to get into a stance, but his legs wouldn't move and he remained seated

Ember smirked at the sight but she brought her hand up to calm him down. "Relax, I'm not here for a fight. I just wanted to give you something."

Danny eyed her as he was unsure what to make of this. He couldn't even stand at the moment and his power level right now was extremely low. He did fight her twice on the same day, with him losing both times. He didn't want to antagonize her since he was sure to lose a third time and probably lose more than just the fight. "What did you want to give me?" He tensed up as she walked closer to him. 'If she kills me fully, I'm going to….. I don't know.' he gulped as she stood over him. He leaned back a bit as he thought it was way too close for comfort. He opened his mouth to ask what she was doing, only to freeze when he felt a pair of lips on his cheek.

Ember pulled back before pulling out a cd case that had her image on it. But not only was it autographed but had a lipstick mark on it as well. "Thanks for the fun fight and…. For helping with my song. She put the disk down before she pulled her guitar off her back, and she hopped up to sit on it as she turned herself intangible. She then rode her guitar out of the room.

Danny sat there too stunned, drained, and mentally chaotic, to even do anything. After a minute, he let out a squeaky "...ah.." before fainting on his bed.

Outside, Ember watched the whole thing through the window. She smirked as she spun around on her guitar. "See ya around, Babypop." She then flew off to begin her World tour.

~ghost Zone~

In a large Clocktower, with thousands of gears spinning and ticking at a slow pace, an ancient and exceedingly powerful ghost smirked at his viewing window. "Thank you for your assistance, Nocturne."

A large ghost with horns on his head and a body made of stars crossed his arms as he asked. "Is it wise to have me come here to assist you in this? Would it not be more helpful to bring in my other? I mean, this is the first I have heard of you, of all ghosts, to bring in someone from another timeline. One not even connected with this one."

"This timeline has only recently been born and altering things too much can cause events to turn dark. Bringing you in will have little effect on this timeline as the Nocturne of this timeline will not become privy to young Daniel here."

"For you to not know how things will turn out is a surprise to hear."

"There are times when I enjoy watching a new timeline play out from start to finish and not know what happens. Even I enjoy to occasional surprise. But tossing a pebble into the river so it can flow more in my favor does help keep things positive for the most part."

"Yes, your pebble this time being me entering his dreams and giving him that peak at this Ember's past. Well, no matter. This will not affect me and my time so there is no harm."

"And with that, it is time to return you." the ghost slammed the bottom of his staff to the ground and Nocturne disappeared from the tower. He looked back toward the viewing mirror and chuckled. "Let's see if all is as it should be."

End of chapter

Ok before anything else. This does not mean Kitty and Ember are part of the Harem.

For Kitty, I felt that they could have more screen time and Kitty should have more character build.

For Ember, I had it so that the gift was repayment for his help. And Ember being a rebel, would flirt with him a bit.

I'm making them big MAYBEs. We will see how it goes, later on, cause even I don't know how things will go with certain things. And besides Kitty already has a boyfriend.

Originally, the needing was going to be Danny watching Ember from up high after he had some words with her and they leave at that. But I went with the one that I enjoyed the most. Danny singing the start with Ember picking up and starting her concert

The scene with Desiree and Dora is meant to show Dora's insecurities while Desiree is confident in this. A little bonding between the two.

I may have beefed up Ember a bit since she didn't get the global chant boost till after the fight but Ember is powerful even before that. But I personally like how the chapter and fight came out and I hope you did too.

Next chapter, canonically is supposed to be the video game chapter with technus but since I already changed the order, I might just go to the one I have been waiting for. OR I could go to the one with Valerie and the Cujo. honestly, her character is irritating. She is exceedingly materialistic and narrow-minded. Though, I could just skip it and just have it mentioned in passing. Like the whole thing happened as it did in the episode and just build from there. Let me know in a review, should I make a full chapter for Val and Cujo, have it mentioned in passing, or move the chapter to later?

And the chapter I really want to get to, Danny is going to need more than just therapy.

Next chapter is when the other halfa makes an appearance

Flames will be ignored.
