{ A Chief's Duty Part 1 }
Kayblis dashed towards the Lis Village, holding back his emotions and holding both a dead Lis and the stick he had used to train his sword skills.
He arrived in mere seconds, and sighed in relief to know that it was still safe. Several of his people died from someone, but he didn't know about who did that yet.
However, when he looked at another direction, he saw five dragons, one being green and the others being brown.
He looked behind him, and saw another green dragon coming towards him with visible killing intent as it immediately attacked him.
Kayblis was able to dodge a few swipes from the dragon's claws, and parried another swipe from it.
Though, he was launched back a few feet away after the parry, and his stick was broken too.
He backflipped a few times, and glanced towards his tribespeople, who were becoming scared by the moment and hid inside their homes. Unlike the past encounters, this one was the most scariest.
They could not do anything, and they could only rely on their leader to survive on these situations, which was worrying to their leader.
"So, why did you try to attack us?" Kayblis asked, making the dragon stop.
"Oh? You wanted to know why?" The green dragon replied condescendingly.
"Heh, you're about to die anyways, so I'll tell you, Demon King's servant. You endanger our race by the means of you having information from observing us." The green dragon then decided to spout out things that barely make or make no sense at all. Maybe it was all about him being Kkulf Kkulf's servant and whatever it did. Kayblis never cared about that, most of all.
'... Bullshit.' Kayblis thought angrily, before turning around and walking towards a patch of grass and buried one of his tribespeople
He hadn't failed being a chief, so why would he think like a coward? Just for something small, why would he be angry? However, this killing is not justified.
After this, he might have to go somewhere with his tribespeople, somewhere nearby an ocean. Maybe he should go on and train them. It was necessary.
He stepped to the side, evading an attack from behind. Dragons are naturally prideful in nature.
"... An attack towards my tribespeople is an attack towards me. This, is a crime I shall not forgive." Kayblis muttered, engulfing his clenched fist with mana and punching the bare breast of the green dragon, pushing it two meters away from him.
"Get away from our chief!" An orange furred Lis shouted, firing a weak fireball towards the said green dragon, but it barely made any damage and served to only irritate the dragon.
And then, the other dragons have finally arrived at the scene, their intentions clear as they all glared towards Kayblis.
They all have a goal in mind: Kill the Demon King's spawn and that's it. An action that was on earlier did not bother them, an act of deceit, to their eyes, cannot move them.
So Kayblis sighed, looking back towards the said orange Lis that tried to protect him. He raised his hand, and then a bubble surrounded it, protecting whoever was inside. The same was done to all the other Lis who were alive in this village.
"So? You're all approaching me? Isn't that just too unfair to gangbang someone of smaller size? Heh, then come and take as you wish." He said towards the dragons, as a long, curved blade came out from his arm, and an array was formed above his palm.
A chief has his duties to uphold. Therefore, he must do whatever he can.
Even if killing is required.
