"A Beacon of Hope"
Isla Nublar is now under the dinosaurs control. Stegosaurus were roaming around the ruins of the old camp site. A raptor was running down a tunnel. A Anklyosaurus was rubbing its body against a turned upside down jeep. A group of Compies were in a destroyed gyro sphere.
The campers were running for their lives as a Parasaurolophus is chasing them
Noah was running ahead while Sammy and Summer were carrying Yaz who is still limping. "Is the Parasaurolohpus still behind us?" Summer asked.
Crash turned around to see the queen of Nublar herself Rexy attacking the Parasaurolophus "Not anymore!" Crash said.
Summer saw a tree on it's side "Over there! Cover!" she said.
Rexy cornered the Parasaurolophus. Everyone took cover behind the tree Rexy killed the Parsaurolophus and dragged its corpse away to feast on it.
"They're gone." Noah said.
Everyone took a sigh "How come there are so many dinosaurs?" Crash asked.
"It's either your annoying, hating charm or all the fences on the island are down." Summer said.
"No offense, but it's definitely option two." Sammy said.
"I don't even care. Right now. I just want a sandwich. We haven't eaten since we had those awful carob bars that Ben gave us." Yaz said.
Yaz stopped herself everyone was now quiet. They were still facing the lost of Ben. Noah out of all of them suffered losing him the most, blaming himself.
Everyone heard a distant roar but gone quiet "We just need to eat and rest. I can't keep running like this." Sammy said.
Noah saw something in the distance "We don't have to." he said.
It was Main Street "There's bound to be a way to call for help on Main Street." Noah said.
And food and everything." Summer said.
"I'm ahead of ya suckers!" Crash said.
Everyone saw it was totally destroyed "What the heck happened here?" Crash asked.
"Uh, I'm thinking dinosaurs." Yaz said.
"Looks like a fight took place." Noah said.
"From the height, it looks like maybe Rexy and something bigger." Noah said.
"I think Rexy fought the Indominus Rex and won." Summer said.
"Why say that?" Crash asked.
"Because I'm seeing what's left of it in the water." Summer said.
"Hey guys!" Sammy called out.
It was a cardboard cut out of Brooklyn the famous YouTuber. Everyone but Crash laughed at it. "I keep wondering if she always wear the same thing." Summer said.
"I think it's cool. When we get rescued, I'm taking it with us." Sammy said.
"Hey I got an idea what to do with it." Crash smiled.
Out of nowhere Crash tore the head off and kept kicking it he walked inside the store.
"Does he hate Brooklyn?" Yaz asked.
"With a burning hatred." Noah said.
"I can't believe how long it's been. I haven't posted in days bet my mom, dad, and followers are worried sick." Summer said.
"Mostly your parents right?" Sammy asked.
"Mostly them." Summer said.
"Let's start, looking for a way to contact the mainland." Noah said.
"There's gotta be a phone in here." Summer said.
"Count me out of it." Crash said.
Noah searched lost and found and only found sunglasses and hats "No one lost their cell phone?" he asked.
"Whatever phones are here aren't working. The power's out. There's not even walkie-talkies." Yaz said.
"I found some kind of walks-talkies." Summer said.
She gave Yaz one "Definitely not a normal walkies-talkies." Yaz said.
"At least they work." Summer said.
"Oh!" Sammy found something.
"What did ya find?" Summer asked.
"An Insider's Guide to Jurassic World!" Sammy said.
"It's got all kinds of details about the park." she said.
Summer and Yaz move over to her. "Did you know there's hidden dinos craved into the buildings? Or that aircraft aren't allowed to fly over the island?" she read about the guide.
They weren't happy about that part "Sorry, that last one's a bummer." Sammy said.
"Didn't stop someone from flying a copter to fight the Indominus Rex." Crash said.
"Thought you weren't in the mood to talk." Summer said.
"Hey guys raise your hand if you want Brooklyn to shut up already." Crash said.
"Shouldn't you be trying to please you dad?" she insulted him.
"Shouldn't you be yelling at Sammy for breaking your phone?" Crash insulted both Summer and Sammy.
Yaz was not really happy of that.
"Crash maybe you just need some time to cool off." Noah said.
"Whatever." he said.
"Hey!" Summer said.
"Is it a phone?" Noah asked.
"It's a camera! And it works!" Summer said.
"Now I can document all the crazy stuff we've seen here! Our rescue shall be a Summer exclusive!" Summer said.
"That'll get my follower count back to the top." she said.
"And that will help us how exactly?" Yaz asked.
"Uh, because when we get home, this will also make us famous?" Summer nervously asked.
Sammy gasped "What ya found now?" Crash asked.
"Tell me it's a phone." Noah said.
"Nope. It's better than that. It's an EDB emergency distress beacon!" Sammy said.
"Well let's hope that's something." Crash said.
"After the first park went down, Mr. Masrani installed one on Main Street. It's battery powered and can send and S0S signal 150 miles in all directions! We're saved!" Sammy said.
"Does it say where it is?" Yaz asked.
Sammy looked through the pages "No. The rest of the chapter is just a glamour shots of Dr. Wu wearing turtlenecks." Sammy said.
Crash laughed hearing it to be funny. "So there's a way to communicate with the outside world here." Summer said.
"We find this thing, and we go home." Noah said.
"Copy." Crash said.
Everyone began searching but Summer and Crash were playing with the camera "Hello everyone! You want to see awesome secrets? Let here it is and there's nobody better than this girl to show you." Summer said.
"You know I find it dumb that Brooklyn's followers call themselves "Brooklanders" is a dumb name right?" Crash asked.
"I'm guessing she could have been ten when she came up with it." Summer said.
"Also I picture you being either British or Australian." Crash said.
"Actually my mom's Australian and my dad is British." Summer said.
"Also I kinda picture your names to be Jules instead of Summer." Crash said.
"That's my middle name!" Summer said, annoyed by Crash.
Yaz was looking through a glass door "I don't see any beacons in here." she said.
Summer had the camera pan showing she's looking into a coffee shop.
"I can't believe I'm gonna be in your video!" Sammy said.
"Ooh, should I have my own catchphrase?" she asked.
"Yeah but for now just talk about the stuff." Summer said.
"Okay, according to the book, things in the park are disguised to keep the whole natural illusion of Jurassic World." Sammy said.
"That is actaully pretty impressive." Summer said.
Sammy went over to a rock "This rock is really a trash can." she said.
She point to vines "Those vines are electrical cords." Sammy said.
"Pretty neat, right?" she asked.
"Never notice Brooklanders is weird?" Sammy asked.
"Tell me about it." Summer said.
Yaz and Noah kept looking "Find anything?" Noah asked.
"Not yet." Yaz replied.
"What about the others?" she asked.
Crash came in on a scooter "Found a scooter!" Crash said.
"I say we just let them be." Noah said.
Sammy was on another scooter holding the camera she was pointing at stuff "That rock is an electrical out and that rock is a straw dispenser..." she tripped and the camera went rolling.
"I tripped on a rock." Sammy said.
"You looked like if you were a cow tripping mate." Crash said.
"Pretty sure I get to say "mate" mate." Summer said.
"Maybe the beacon got trashed along with everything else?" Yaz guessed possibilities.
"I'm having a feeling it's here somewhere. It has to be." Noah said.
Elsewhere Rexy was dragging a tree and she was heading to Main Street.
Sammy was at another big rock "And this rock is.. just a rock, but I think it's neat. What do you think, camp fam?" Sammy asked.
"Camp Fam?" Summer asked.
"That's right, it's a new catchphrase." Sammy said.
"Camp Family sound a little better." Noah said.
"Minus well say Jurassic World Camp Family." Crash said.
The girls were together and Yaz was resting her foot. Sammy and Summer were posing and laughing "Very fly." she said.
"Hey guys I found some pizza." Crash said.
"Food? Finally! Yes!" Summer said.
"I'll get napkins from the rock." Sammy said.
Everyone took a bite but it hurt their mouths. Crash brought them frozen pizza. Everyone put the pizza in a pile waiting for the sun to thaw them they were waiting for awhile "Okay, is the pizza thawed now?" Sammy asked.
"I'll check." Crash said.
Crash walked over to the pile but a Compy appeared. More Compies showed up "Compies ambushed!" Summer shouted.
"Throw the pizza! Throw the pizza!" Yaz shouted.
"Aw, man! All of it?" Sammy asked.
"I'm not giving up a slice." Crash said.
The Compies now began jumping onto Crash. One of them bite his nose.
With no choice everyone threw the pizza away. Crash tried keeping his slice. Yaz tried to shoo a Compy away but hurt her foot.
"I'm really starting to dislike them Compies." Sammy said.
"They're basically the rats of the dino world they'll eat anything." Summer said.
"Yeah, but so will Crash." Yaz said.
"Okay I'm objecting that." Crash said.
Summer, Sammy, and Crash laughed but Yaz noticed something was bugging Noah.
"I hope it's here. But I don't understand what I'm missing." Crash said.
He turned to see the others were gone. He got up to check the area. He saw someone running. He followed that person but it appeared to be Ben "Ben? Oh my gosh I thought we lost you." Noah said to Ben.
"Why? Because you let me go?" Ben asked.
"What? No I just..." Noah said.
Things got weird now they were back on the train "Let me go Noah!" Ben said.
"No! I'm going to save you." Noah said.
Behind him Toro appeared Noah lost his grip and Ben fell and Toro was free to eat Noah.
Noah woke up, sweating but with Yaz at his side "Hey, whoa, whoa! Y-you okay? Looked like you were having a bad dream." Yaz said.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Noah said.
"Thanks. Sorry I fell asleep." Noah apologized.
"I'm the one who volunteered to take the first shift, remember?" Yaz reminded Noah.
Sammy was sleeping on Summer's lap while Crash was sleeping face flat on the ground. He had the walkie-talkie on. "Kon I'm gonna kill ya." Crash said some dark things in his sleep.
"I keep telling myself the batteries gotta run out sometime, right?" Yaz asked.
Noah didn't laugh; he was still too guilt riddled over what happened to Ben.
Yaz felt bad for him.
"We've just gotta find the beacon. We can find it if we try harder." Noah said.
Yaz got into push ups position but with her injured foot raised from the ground. "Push-ups." she said.
"Last time I eat unthawed pizza, because my dreams are getting weirder." Noah said.
"When I race, I pressure myself. "Go faster, work harder." Somethings that's good, but sometimes I get so stuck in my head that I can't see what's happening in front of me." Yaz said.
She got up "Whoo! So, we loosen up, free our minds. Do push-ups, leg rolls, plank till your arms give out. You know, just have fun." Yaz said.
"We gotta different versions of fun." Noah said.
"Okay, then. What would be fun for you?" Yaz asked.
"Stargazing." Noah said.
The two looked up into the night. Noah began pointing at stars "Me and mom always used to go out at night and look at the stars." Noah said.
"It's beautiful out here." Yaz said.
"Mom sometimes says if you look close enough you can see whatever it is you're looking for is there." Noah said.
"Like camouflage?" Yaz asked.
Noah's eyes widened "I think I know where the beacon is." Noah said.
"Where?" Yaz asked.
"We'll search the next morning. Noah said.
The next morning everyone was up "So you think the beacon is here? We've already searched Main Street." Crash said.
"We were looking but we weren't looking." Noah said.
"Okay that's confusing." Summer said.
"It's like what Sammy said: things are camouflaged to keep the natural appearance of Jurassic World. We've never saw it because it was camouflaged." Noah said.
"Okay now that's clever." Summer said.
Everyone began searching the place Yaz was limping and she hit a tree. But it sounded metallic "Ever hear a tree do that?" she asked.
Everyone looked inside "OH there's stuff inside!" Sammy said.
"Oh do it again. I've got the camera on." Summer said.
Sammy closed it and reopened it "Oh there's stuff inside!" she said.
"There's nothing in here." Crash said.
Yaz saw one of the trees was gone and it looked like it was being dragged.
Rexy came back. Everyone got onto a vantage point. They saw Rexy was dragging several things to make a nest "What the fudge is she doing?" Sammy asked.
"Looks like she's building a nest." Noah said.
"We've got a problem." Summer said.
She had the camera pointed onto a tree and saw the distress beacon "Now how are we going to get to the beacon now?" Crash asked.
"No way in heck am I going into a T-rex's nest." Summer said.
"What does this mean we can't call for help?" Sammy asked.
"Okay we try to have a little fun and yet we still get bite by dinosaurs." Crash gave up.
Everyone looked at him "I just wanted 24 hours where we didn't have to run away from dinosaurs or think about Ben." Crash said.
"It was fun while it lasted." Summer said.
"We can't give up now there's always a way. We all have ideas to take charge sometimes we've just got to clear our heads." Noah said.
Yaz smiled that he listened to what she said last night.
Once Rexy left Sammy followed her to make sure she was far enough "Go!" Sammy said.
Crash and Noah entered the nest and started climbing the stuff. Crash almost grabbed a skull which freaked him out he grabbed his walkie-talkie "Okay next time I'm breaking my ankle and I'm staying behind!" Crash said.
"You wouldn't be able to handle it." Yaz smiled.
Noah and Crash got to the distress beacon they tried removing it but they couldn't. "Rexy must have damaged the casing, we can't get it out." Crash said.
"We don't need to move. We just need to activate it." Noah said.
The two grabbed the skull Crash nearly grabbed to open the distress beacon case.
Sammy was watching Rexy grab things. But Rexy was nowhere to be seen. Sammy saw Rexy was below her and she froze perfectly still. It looked like the Queen of Isla Nublar was looking right at her. For a second opened her mouth and bite onto a branch Sammy gasped in fear and closed her eyes. Rexy takes the branch and walks away "Really?" she asked.
Sammy picked up her walkie-talkie "Rexy's coming back." she said.
Yaz grabbed her walkie-talkie "Guys she's heading back right now!" she said.
For some reason Crash's walkie-walkie wasn't making any noise.
"Crash ran out the battery." Summer said.
"I knew it!" Yaz said.
"I've got this." Summer said.
"What are you doing?" Yaz asked.
Crash and Noah opened the case and activated the distress beacon but it's too late Rexy came back.
"Take cover!" Noah whispered.
The two took cover and Rexy came into her nest "Hey Brooklanders!" Summer called out.
Rexy was distracted. Summer left a trail for Rexy and brought out the cardboard cut out of Brooklyn. Rexy's eyes were caught onto the cardboard cut out. Summer had strings to make it appear it's moving.
Rexy destroyed it giving the others time to escape. "We've turned on the beacon!" Noah said.
The girls cheered "Can we celebrate when we're out of the queen's nest?" Crash asked.
"Oh right." Noah said.
Everyone left Main Street and now they needed to set up a base.
The distress beacon was sending signals when someone has received it.
Sorry I haven't posted this next chapter I've been going through alot.
