A/N: Quick note: The prompt number here is "8", but I had posted links to other works for 6(Awkward, see Company Party for an awkward scene), and 7(Despair, see Tainted Bloodlines.)
Sniffing around the table, the panther once again tried his hand at snatching one of his favorite foods. Or, it should be said, several of his favorite foods.
"Gwan…" Adel said, noticing the panther slyly trying to nose his way onto the table to snatch one of the big breakfast sausages. "You had yours."
Whip chuckled. "Yeah, you've already eaten a ton. Along with your own breakfast."
The panther did not relent; attempting to reach a large paw out, his owner blocked it with his own hand.
"Gwan!" he laughed. Breakfast at the Sky Noah had two constants: the ability to order anything they wanted on demand, and Gwan attempting to come to take it.
Not relenting-the sausage smelled so close-he continued his single-minded push toward the prize tray. It was all of his favorites. Sausage, bacon, and crepes.
"How did that panther become so obsessed with breakfast food?" Whip laughed, trying to push the beast down, which only worked for a moment.
"You've seen him," he said. "Ever since he was a cub, the kitchens would sort of spoil him. Then, admittedly…"
"Yeah, we kinda spoiled him too, didn't we?"
"Rose, as well. She never said no to him." Pushing again as he hurriedly tried to eat his plate, the panther slid underneath, quickly trying to prowl to the other side where he stood, paws on the table again as he just about reached the tray.
"I have never seen a big cat want people food this much in my life."
The cat's ears folded down as he started to get a bit of a dejected look on his face, attempting to swat the tray toward himself, but Adel had put it back too far. Obsession was the right word; often this cat would not stop until he was satiated with a bit of breakfast sausage or bacon.
"You do not give up, do you," Adel said, trying to fake annoyance. "Fine. You win. Here. Don't beg us again." He took a couple of things off of the plate for them to finish and slid him the rest.
Whip looked at him with an eyebrow raised as she hastily protected the rest of the honey crepes, lest the big cat decide to set his sights on them next.
The panther dove in happily, a heavy purr coming from his chest.
He had won this all-important battle, this time.
A/N: I had to do a little humor after a darker day. Super short, silly, and cute.
I mean, Gwan, in a way, is…part of the cast? And it did feature two other main characters, lol. I just headcanon Gwan as obsessed with breakfast food. Lots of spoiling over his life sort of did it.
One day, they'll get to eat breakfast in peace while at the Sky Noah. Maybe.
