Authors note: there will be both an intimate scene and a how do you say... someone will get hurt. If I say more than that, it will spoil the chapter.

Now on with the chapter.

Chapter 5 Tears, threats and Blood.

As the weeks progressed, so did the rumour mill of Hogwarts.

Hagrid had repaired his place, but his dog was forever gone, which had made a dent in the usual happy groundskeeper.

The reactions to the accomplishment of the Slytherin best friends had pulled started to calm down after a few weeks.

The war with the Gryffindors had not yet started, but they were all prepared for something nasty. The older years, who knew how to check if the food and drink were tempered, made a nice profit from the younger ones, who could only use basic spells.

Jakob was not the one to pay someone for his safety and studied the different spells.

After 2 days of hard-working, he got the result he wanted.

The Black-haired boy tried to get Draco and the rest of his class to do the same, but when they learned how long it took Jake, who was top of their class, the Slytherin first years said that they were satisfied using their money to solve the problems.

Jakob, who sat in the library with pansy the day before Halloween, groaned.

"Why are we reading about a Knockback jinx? I learned this when I was 7 years old" Jakob continued to drop his head on an open book that specified the spell.

"You can thank the mudbloods," said pansy watching Jakob's antics with a roll of her eyes.

Jakob turned his head to her with a glare.

"Don't say it out loud in public, or do you wish us to lose house points?"

Pansy, who was affronted by the way Jakob had hissed at her, said nothing, stood up and collected her things.

"Wait, pansy, what are you doing?"

Pansy, who was leaving the table, turned around.

"I will state what I want. If you don't like it, I can find a company that does."

Jakob grinned, took out his wand and shot out a Knockback jinx that he controlled to make weak.

It hit pansy when she turned around, and the Slytherin girl went straight forward, hitting a bookshelf.

She turned around red in anger, and Jakob shrugged and mimicked her

"if you don't like what I do, I can find a better company."

The black-haired girl knew that if she started a magic fight with Jakob, she would undoubtedly lose, so she turned around and walked off.

As Jakob saw her retreating away, he snorted.

"Yeh, because you are such an excellent company."

As he sat there trying to find the motivation to fill the parchment with the information, he glanced at two particular bookshelves that faced each other. He saw the Granger girl picking up books, walking further between the rows, and disappearing from his view.

The boy, who was more interested in seeing what the girl did than continuing with his ongoing suffering, looked around to ensure no Slytherin snakes were there. He then stood up and strode off in the same direction as if searching for a particular book.

He walked over to two bookshelves, and in between them, he saw the girl sitting on a wooded chair placed before a small round table furthest in.

A window gave some extra reading light, and Jakob could see that she was reading the exact text he was.

She did not notice him, and with a final look to confirm he wasn't observed, he walked over to her.

"What are you reading," Jakob asked, and when he saw her jerk up, something in him frowned.

"Why are you jumpy?" he asked, sitting beside her.

Hermione, too shocked to say or do anything, followed his movement with her eyes.

"Are you still being treated like that by your classmates?"

The girl in question only gave a nod in response, and Jakob felt how his temper was rising. He tried his best to control it. He knew that the girl would only be more terrified if he snapped right now.

"Well, my name is Jakob Quade," said the boy reaching out his hand and watching as the Granger girl looked at it.

Signing, Jakob continued.

"I'm sorry about the situation we had that night.

I was a little stressed at that moment, which I'm sure you could imagen by how I looked.

"Did..did someone hurt you?" stammered the girl, and Jakob smiled.

"no, that was my own stupidity that you witnessed."

Hermione looked a bit confused, and Jakob was about to continue when he heard someone walking towards their bookshelves.

He got up fast, pretended to pick up some books, and then turned to see two Ravenclaw upper-year students walking past them, ignoring their existence.

Jakob sighed in relief and thought to himself that he needed to start training on a privacy spell.

The boy then moved back to his seat.

"Look, I'm sorry again for that, but if someone saw me, a Slytherin talking with a Gryffindor, that would make my life horrible.

Hermione gave him an unimpressed looked and crossed her arms.

"yeah, I know you have it worse, but what can I say? I'm a Slytherin."

"Why are you talking to me anyways? Why did you even bother to pull me back that day?" she said in a defeated voice.

"I don't really know, actually," said Jakob frowning. I just saw you and thought you might like some company.

Hermione, who had turned her eyes away, looked back at him and then almost whispered.

"yeah, I would like that."

Jakob smiled and felt that if he could do something to ease the mudbl.. the Granger girl, it could not hurt.

"We have a problem with this," said Jakob gesturing to the girl and himself.

Granger looked like she was deep in thought, biting her lip. Then she looked like she had a perfect solution.

"I know of a room that is hidden but can be found if you look for it."

Jakob tried to understand what she meant, but the words did not make sense.

Hermione saw that Jakob had a hard time and started to collect her books and paper and then whispered.

"Meet me on the seventh floor tonight at 10, and I will show you."

Hermione walked briskly away, leaving a dumbfounded Slytherin in her wake, sitting on a stool, wondering what had just happened.

That evening, Jakob sat in his common room with Draco, Theo, Tracey and Daphne.

"Jake, it's your turn," said Theo nudging the boy To play his card.

"oh right," said the boy glancing over at the big clock standing in a corner showing 9.30 o'clock.

30 minutes before curfew, he noticed and played the card that exploded, signalling that Jakob was the loser.

"Better luck next time," said Daphne with an apologetic smile.

Draco saw this and rolled his eyes.

"Don't be such a mood-kill, Daphne," said the blonde boy getting up from his seat.

"I'm gonna head back", he continued and gestured for Theo to follow him.

Both girls did the same, and Jakob saw that he was now ignored by the rest of the students.

He got up and discreetly took out his wand, pointing it at the firewood burning in the fireplace.

"Wingardium Leviosa", he whispered as he tried his best not to be noticed.

The wood levitated above some students, and when Jakob was a few meters in Infront of the door, he let it go.

The wood dropped, hitting the table between the couches and when the Slytherin students started to yell, he snuck out, running as fast as he could from the dungeon, trying to avoid the pillars' lights.

When he arrived at the grand staircase, he noticed professor Quirrel walking into the third floor, and Jakob noted to avoid that floor.

He continued up to the seventh floor, and when he walked inside the big corridor, he saw that one way led to the right and another to the left.

"she did not tell me which way after this," he deadpanned.

He cast a Tempus, observed that he had 15 minutes left and shrugged.

"If I was a Gryffindor, I would probably take…." While talking out loud, he shifted his body.

"right!" he concluded and started walking with confident steps.

While walking, he hummed a tune but soon stopped as he heard a girl's voice coming from behind a door.

"Finally," he said in a low voice, went over to the door, and opened it slowly and carefully. He would not want Filch to come snooping around.

When e glanced inside, he saw that it was not Hermione. He had to squint his eyes to see what the darkness was hiding but what he witnessed was not what he had expected.

The girl sitting on a school bench Moaned loudly, and he noticed a boy kneeling in front of her with his head buried between her legs, covered by her school skirt.

Jakob, frozen in place, took in the situation he saw before him.

The girl, who he registered as a Hufflepuff based on her tie that waved loosely at the side of her neck as her breathing was quickening, had closed her eyes, pressed the boy's head between her legs harder, and started to grind back and forth.

Her dark blonde hair was clinging to her body, and her shirt was ripped open, showing her breast.

Jakob felt a sensation he had never felt before.

His eyes wandered down and saw her pale legs now straddling the poor lad's head, and she started to grind more vigorously, repeating the same sentence.

"I'm Cumming, om Cumming!"

Jakob snapped back to reality and slowly closed the door.

He walked the other way and had a stupefied expression on his face.

"bloody hell, " he whispered and leaned against the wall when he returned to where he had started.

"What the hell did I just witness," he asked as if someone was standing Infront of him.

"I don't know, what did you see?

Jakob jumped and saw Hermione standing in front of him with a questioning face.

"What? Nothing, absolutely nothing," said Jakob with a slight panic.

"Why is your face all red?" questioned Granger and observed him.

"My face is not red," said Jakob quickly and switched the subject.

"so where is that room you talked about, and how did you get here so fast?"

Hermione looked around, grabbed his hand, and walked, following the left side of the corridor.

Jakob noticed her touch and wanted to jerk his hand back.

He was too confused after what he witnessed and touching a mud blood hand?

If his father knew, Jakob felt a chill running down his spine.

When they stood in front of a wall facing an interesting tapestry, Hermione began to walk.

Jakob observed as she walked back and forth and was deep in thought.

The boy looked on, and then he saw it.

The door was magically forming in front of them, and when she opened it, she nodded for him to follow.

As Jakob went inside, he saw what he would guess were the Gryffindor's common room and dormitories.

"what the hell?" asked Jakob in awe and slight disgust, examining the room and the Gryffindor decoration.

"Language," said Hermione automatic but then blushed when she saw that Jakob crossed his arms.

"What is this place," he asked again, walking forward to a couch in front of a fireplace, touching it like he did not believe it existed.

"I don't know, actually," frowned Hermione.

"I have looked everywhere in the library and even asked some of the professors, but no one knows about this place." the girl sat down on the couch.

"I come here when they bully me too much. I have everything I need here."

"About that," said Jakob looking around.

"Seems like this room knows exactly what you need."

Hermione turned around with a big smile.

She began to tell Jakob what she knew about the room.

She had tested different things, and the room seemed to only have a few restrictions on its possibilities. The boy wrote down everything in his mind and stored it for later use. Jake sat beside her on the couch when she told him about her tests.

"So. You did not answer my first question about how you got here."

Hermione hesitated for a moment and then stood up and walked over to her bed.

Kneeling down grabbed and pulled out the invisibility cloak, and when Jakob saw this, he burst into laughter.

"You took it?" he asked, still laughing. Hermione looked confused at him.

"what do you mean took it, and why are you laughing?"

"let me guess," said the Slytherin boy, calming down.

"You found it behind a pillar in the Great Hall?

Hermione looked like she was trying to solve a puzzle, and after a few seconds, her eyes widened.

"does it belongs to you? Did you hide it there? Oh, I'm so sorry, Jakob. I did not know. If I had-"

"wait, wait," said Jakob holding up his hands to stop her.

"yes, I did hide it there, but it does not belong to me."

"The whos is it?" asked Hermione.

"It belongs to the Potters," said Jakob and observed Hermione's eyes looking at the cloak with slight disgust. This is probably why they have not attacked me yet.

They think I have it.

"Come and sit," said Jake gesturing at the seat beside him on the coach.

Hermione walked over and sat with the cloak still in her grasp.

"Who exactly is bullying you?" asked Jakob locking eyes with her.

"it…"

she started but looked into the fire, and the boy noticed tears beginning to form in her eyes.

"You can tell me, Hermione," said Jakob catching her eyes with his again.

"It's... it's Weasley and Finnigan. They.. they have turned the whole house against me."

"Why would they do that?" Jakob asked, frowning?

"because of your blood?"

Hermione looked confused

"My..my blood? What had that to do with anything?"

Jakob mentally slapped himself.

"Nothing, I just thought.. whatever, why did they turn everyone?"

"I was just talking to Harry, you know, the boy who lived ?"

Jakob rolled his eyes.

"Yes, I know. What did you say to the famous white knight?" asked Jakob trying not to sound too sarcastic.

"Nothing, really. I just gave Harry some advice on a subject when that Weasley started to say that he did not ask, and suddenly both Ron and Seamus became very rude."

Jakob listened carefully, trying to pinpoint what exactly had started al.

"Then I got mad and said that maybe Harry should surround himself more with people that could understand common knowledge and that could behave like nice people. And then he pushed me into a wall."

The Slytherin boy saw a tear running down her cheek. She would be devoured in Slytherin, he thought.

"Then Ron and his and Seamus just went and started different rumours about me pretending to be a know-it-all and trying to bewitch the boy who lived, and When I looked over to Harry, he just looked away, and I…."

She stopped, putting her hands over her face, and Jakob could hear her crying.

So it was the Weasley, and the Finnigan boy's who started this, and over what? Panic? that they thought the idiot who lived would open his eyes and see what piles of shit they really were?

"There there," Jakob said, doing what he had done when pansy had cried the first evening. He swung his shoulder over the crying girl and comforted her.

After a while, she stopped, and only a few Hicks escaped as she tried to control her breathing, and they both looked into the fire.

"I can fix this for you, I think," said Jakob, still staring into the fire with determination.

Hermione looked up at him in disbelief.

"Really? How?"

"I will need that cloak, and I can't promise anything. But if I succeed," the Quade heir said, now turning and looking into her eyes.

"I need you to do something for me."

"Like what?" Hermione asked hopefully.

"If you get a place back in Gryffindor, I need you to be my spy for these seven years.

You will never speak to anyone about this, and nothing you can break." Hermione did not hesitate.

"I'll do it."

"Remember that you might need to tell me things you know will hurt your classmates."

"Yes"

"And there is no going back."

"I know," she said, a little more annoyed now.

"I just want it all to be over. No more pushing, no more hurtful words. No more rumours. I just want it all to be over." Hermione pleaded.

"I would do anything for that," she said, breaking eye contact, still huddled under his arm, staring into the fireplace.

When Jakob saw her pleading face and heard her words, he felt that anger and darkness inside him waking up. They all would pay for this.

Hermione decided to stay in the room for the night, and Jakob took the invisibility cloak and asked the room to provide a bag, which the magical room did.

He had confirmed that it did not have a trace after Hermione told him that she had been using it for weeks without anyone catching her.

When he returned to his common room, he wore the cloak, and he saw that Slytherin students were still up studying.

He went to his dorm and, before opening door number 13, put the cloak in the bag.

Pansy was still awake and reading a book on her bed. The Slytherin girl glanced to see Jakob walk in, throwing his sack on the bed.

"Where have you been? It's 11.30," she said with a snarky tone.

"Oh, come off it, Pansy. Are you still mad about what happened in the library?"

"mad?" she raised her voice.

"You threw a Knockback jinx when I turned my back!" she yelled, and Jakob crossed his arms, steering back at her fuming face as she stood in front of him.

"Then you should…." started Jake but was cut off.

With a roar only an 11-year-old pureblooded girl could accomplish, Pansy Trew herself tackled Jakob, and they started to wrestle.

Pansy, who normally would not stand a chance against the Quade heir, took him by surprise and showed a magical strength due to her rage, he told himself.

She got him on the floor, placed herself above him, and started to hit him. Jakob tried his best to catch her hands. When he finally succeeded after what felt like a thousand open-handed punches, he turned his body, and she lost her grip falling over. Jake grabbed her arms, holding them in place.

"Bloody hell, Pansy, calm down!"

Pansy tried to get loose, but Jakob was adamant that she would not be free until she could see reason.

After a while, she tired and settled down, and the boy released her from his grip.

Jakob helped Pansy up. They stared at each other for a moment before bursting into laughter.

And like that, the tension between the two Slytherins were gone.

"I did not expect you to fight like Draco said Jakob as they were in their respective beds.

They had not closed their curtains yet, and Pansy had, with the help of Jake, made levitating candles in the middle of the room.

"Do I really fight like a boy?" Asked pansy, a bit surprised.

"More like Draco fights like a girl," chuckled Jakob, receiving a pillow on his face.

They talked for a while and then closed their curtains, saying goodnight.

Jakob thought about the evening. He had seen three different girls. One who had been miserable, one who had been furious and one who had been something The eleven-year-old could only guess looked delighted.

The last thing he thought was. Girls gonna be the end of me.

Morning came. Jakob woke up smelling pumpkins and yelled so loud that Pansy jumped out of bed in shock and readiness for an attack.

"It's Halloween!"

After a hard punch to the shoulder, Pansy went out, saying she would give him five minutes before breakfast.

Jakob sat down on his seat in front of his desk and took a feather pen, dipped it in ink and wrote on a piece of note that he pocketed.

As he walked out to the common room, he saw that his friends were waiting for him, and they all went down to the great hall for breakfast.

Sitting there eating, he saw they had decorated the castle to fit the occasion.

He talked for a while with Goyle over the things they both liked to eat on Halloween but heard Draco say to Theo that he assumed his father had taken away the holiday and replaced it with the ancient festival of Samhain.

When Jakob was home, it was Samhain they celebrated, and the boy enjoyed that festival too.

The parties that the Malfoy would host could not be beaten, but Hogwarts was making a nice try.

"It's all because of the mudbloods," Jake heard Draco say when the blonde spoke with pansy, who nodded in agreement. Jakob rolled his eyes, took a piece of bread that Crabbe had just finished placing butter on, and threw it over at Draco. The blonde, affronted, looked up to see who dared to make such a mistake and saw that Jakob was sitting there grinning.

"cheer up, mate. Think of the feast tonight."

Draco took up the peace of toast that was lying on his plate and took a bite.

"it's not gonna be better than our Samhain parties he retorted.

"true," said Jakob with a slight nod.

"But come on, don't ruin the mood even though we won't get to spend the evening at your wonderful place tonight."

Jakob knew that boosting the blond boy's already high self-confidence was the only way to make his friend enjoy the coming evening.

When Draco heard the comment from his best friend, he straightened a little proud and said.

"Well, at least we will still have the winter solstice."

"Looking forward to it," said Jakob raising his goblet, and his friends did the same.

Jake then glanced at the Gryffindor table and saw the three golden boys sitting and chatting like they had never ruined a girl's life. Jakob glared and felt that hatred that burned every last composing thought.

"you alright, mate?" said a voice and Jakob snapped back, looking to his right where Crabbe was sitting a little worried, glancing between him to the Gryffindor table.

"yeah, I'm fine. Why do you ask Vince?" said Jakob in a monotone voice.

"Nothing, you just looked.."

"looked like what?"

Crabbed decided to end this unpleasant situation.

"no-nothing," he smiled.

"must have seen things." He said and then turned a little and started to eat his porridge like he had discovered a new favourite meal.

When the breakfast was over, he looked for his chance and then when he saw that Ivy, who sat with some Gryffindor girls, walked up ready to head out, he made his move.

He followed her, and when they got out of the great hall, he looked around to see if someone was there who could cause problems.

"potter!"

The girl and her friends turned and saw that a snake had called for her. Ivy took out her wand, and he stopped with his hands raised.

"Hey now, I'm just a messenger," he said, but the redhead girl was not lowering her wand.

Jakob came closer, reaching out his hand and showing the note to Ivy.

"If this is one more of your twisted jokes," she said, glaring at Jakob.

"No joke, I'm not doing this for me."

The girl took the note, and Jakob walked away whistling something.

When Ivy opened the note, her eyes bulged for a short while.

"Finally," she whispered.

"What does it say?" asked lavender, who stood beside her.

"Nothing Ivy said and set the note on fire turning around to walk with her two friends to her first class.

When Jakob walked into the charms classroom, he saw that the half-blood professor was looking happily around and observing the young students.

"Welcome to another class of charms," said the happy tiny professor.

"Today, we will be going over the levitation charm!" the Gryffindors all smiled, but some Slytherin tried to hide a groan.

Why did father persist in learning me spells beforehand taught Jakob. Will I learn anything this year?

As the class progressed, the students tried to lift the feather from the ground. Jakob got it to rise from his first try.

"well done, Mr Quade", beamed the professor.

"take five points to Slytherin."

Jakob nodded and started to help Tracey, who sat beside him.

He glanced over and saw that both the golden boy and his sister also knew the spell, but only one of them was proudly showing it. The girl, however, was glancing over at him, a bit nervous.

He also saw that Hermione, that had placed herself further back had got it and was now reading a book, probably about the spell, thought Jake.

When the class ended, his friend gathered their things, and Jakob said to Malfoy in a low whisper that he would meet them at their next lesson.

Malfoy nodded, knowing that this was not the right time to ask questions.

Jakob took his time and slowly watched as the potter girl did the same. When the last student had left, and the professor had jumped down from his books, wishing them a happy Halloween with a glint in his eyes, he also left.

"where is it?" he heard Ivy question when he closed the door.

"it's safe for now. But how long will it stay like that, I wonder," said Jakob, still turned against her.

"Are you threatening me, Quade? You know that it belongs to me and is a family heirloom."

He turned and saw her walking towards him, fuming.

"give it back!"

Jakob pulled out his wand and shot her a knockback jinx that made her fall back into the pile of books that was situated under the professor's podium.

"You don't call the shots here, Potter," Jakob hissed back.

"I would have burned it down if it wasn't that I needed something from you," He continued walking forwards to the now scared first year.

"what do you want?" asked Ivy, still a little stunned, feeling the knockback jinx for the first time.

"There is someone that I owe a favour to. I need to see it paid." lied the Slytherin.

He could not have Ivy know that he actually cared about a mudblood.

"And you need me to do it? How convenient," she snorted, but the scared face returned when Jakob pointed his wand at her again, the tip glowing.

"Alright, alright, what do you want?"

"There is a girl in your house, Granger." Said Jakob and noticed a sad look on Ivy's face.

"what? You need me to torment her because she is a muggle-born? she already has it-"

"no, you idiot," interrupted Jake.

"I need you to end it and do your damned best because I won't wait forever to see that she is accepted back."

"you want me to what?" asked Ivy in a shocked voice.

"you heard me, and if you don't, I will make sure that the cloak burns before you even get a chance to make an excuse."

"I have tried talking to Ron about it already," Ivy said in a low defeated voice.

"but he does not listen to me." she continued looking at Jakob, who stood there with a cold glare.

"so don't try to talk to him," declared Jakob, talk with your brother, who everyone listens to."

Ivy looked a bit frustrated now.

"What could I even say to make him listen to me? He is the boy who lived." Jakob rolled his eyes.

"You," he pointed at her, talking to her like she was a baby.

"will tell him that if he does not stop with his bullshit, I", Jakob pointed at himself.

"Will burn his precious cloak and send him the wet ashes in a jar.

"Why would it be.." Ivy's eyes widen.

"you wouldn't dare", she gasped.

"Try me," said Jakob, now turning around.

"you have until tomorrow. We will meet on the third floor, and you will tell me what you did and how you succeeded in making Granger a part of your house again."

"Why do you even care about her?"

"Jakob did not turn around and started to open the door."

"I don't. I just owe someone a favour, which is how I repay it. See it done or face the consequences. And if you tell anyone what we talked about here, you would wish you never attended Hogwarts."

Jakob opened, walked out and closed the door.

Ivy was still lying on the heap of books on the floor, thinking.

He was too enraged to not make it personal. Why the hell would he care about Granger?

When evening came, the students of Hogwarts sat and feasted on Halloween-inspired food. Everyone except one dark-haired boy who roamed the castle with his cloak over himself.

"Shame that I need to return it," he whispered as he went to the library.

But if I don't give it back, nothing says that the boy who lived will hold his part of the agreement that little snitch.

Jakob walked in and strolled over to the restricted section. While browsing the different spell books, the boy thought I need something I can use if he chooses to void the agreement.

"Ahh, here," Jakob said and took out one book that had collected some dust over the cover and opened it.

This is precisely what I need, he thought.

As the party in the great hall continued, Jakob tried again and again, and when the 23 attempts failed, he felt the fury rise.

"Cum Vis Aduri!"

The cloak glowed, and Jakob felt the magic leave him.

He started to feel a bit ill. He held onto his wand but sensed that the spell was draining him too much, and when Jakob began to feel the icy cold feeling of death closing in, panic started to build. Shit, I'm overdoing it. I need it to end soon or.. as he began to sway and his eyes rolled back. It all stopped.

Now leaning on the table where the cloak was placed, Jakob took heavy breaths.

"Bloody hell, that was creepy," he whispered.

No wonder they don't teach those spells yet.

He knew that it was a risk, and he had felt this feeling once before when trying some of his family's magic the day he got his wand. His father had explained after Jakob had asked that if you try a spell that takes more of your magic, then your magical preserves held it could drain it, and countless wizards had been found dead in their homes over this.

"Can't blame me for wanting to be great, right" he chuckled and then looked over at another book that he grabbed and stored in his bag before taking on the cloak again and returning downstairs to eat something. he was starting to get really hungry.

As he passed a corridor, he saw groups of students passing him by in a hurry.

Jakob frowned, was the feast already done? Then he noticed the distraught look on the Hufflepuffs, who were almost jogging back to their common room.

"Did they actually say a troll?"

"What is it doing here?"

"Can the teachers stop it?"

"Why is it in the dungeon?"

"Poor Slytherins having to stay in the great hall."

Jakob's eyebrows raised, and he continued on his way to see the beast.

"One would pay a pretty galleon to see a living troll, so when the situation arises, why not do it for free?" he whispered in a singsong voice.

The skipping boy started to smell an odour and knew he was on the right track.

When Jake got closer to the girl's lavatory, he heard footsteps running towards the same goal behind him.

When the boy under the cloak turned, he saw that Harry, Ron and Finnigan were running. The three Gryffindors passed him, and he observed determination on Harry's face.

"Are you sure, Harry?!" Ron yelled as they ran passed him.

"Ron, if we can take this troll down, we will be heroes again and get the house points back!" Yelled Harry as the group of Gryffindors halted and drew their wands.

"on three," said harry and started the count.

Jakob walked over and stood behind them, watching what would happen.

Oh, this is going to be good, though the Slytherin boy watching his enemies walking into what could only be certain death.

The boys opened the door and ran inside, and Jakob, who stood in the doorway, looked on as they ambushed the troll.

With a rallying cry, sparks and demeaning words, the three 11 years old attacked. Harry, who looked like a commander in the middle, shot a stunning spell. The spell connected and bounced off like it was nothing.

"impressive", Jakob said, knowing that the Gryffindors war cry and the troll's club that started to smash around drowned everything else.

"good to know that he can produce a stunner, but it's a troll.."

Jakob continued to watch as he saw the Gryffindors duck and jump, avoiding the club as they continued to shoot spells that did little to nothing on the resistant skin.

Jake, who would die for something to eat while watching this spectacular fail, saw when one of the boys, Finnigan, was grabbed by the troll.

Jakob heard the boys scream, telling the troll to release their friend, who was shouting, and with an understanding of his situation, started to cry.

Ron was now trying in desperation to throw debris from the things that were smashed.

Jakob grinned when he saw the fear in the Finnigan boy and Harry, who tried everything to save his friend. Harry soon emptied his reserves on the troll and looked like he did not understand. This was not supposed to happen to the heroes?

Everything suddenly quieted down, and it seemed that time stood still for a second. Finnigan's terrified eyes met the trolls, and Jakob grinned. If someone could see the grin he wore, they would have said that demons were possessing him.

"This is what you get for messing with my mudblood."

With his green hand grabbing the boy's waist, the troll roared, and they all heard a crunching sound.

Finnigan screamed in pain.

The troll then threw the screaming child, who hit the wall and fell down on the floor, not moving, not making a sound.

The boys abandoned all hope of winning and ran to their friend. Trying to wake him up.

Jakob, who watched the boys, decided they had endured their punishment and took out his wand.

"Wingardium Leviosa," he said under the cloak.

The club, raised by the troll, secounds from striking the other two boys, was yanked out of his hand and levitated above the troll. Jakob raised the club a little higher, feeling the magical stamina struggling after what he had done before, and feeling too tired, released it a bit disappointed, knowing that it would not kill the beast.

The troll watching the club in astonishment saw it drop and made a nose and fell.

The two Gryffindors attending to their friend in panic and horror did not turn around to witness what Jakob had just done.

The Slytherin boy now heard other pairs of footsteps running, and when he turned, he saw that the headmaster, Snape, McGonagall and Professor Quirell was headed his way.

It's time for me to leave, thought Jakob and discreetly headed the other way as he heard the gasps and shouts of panic coming from the warzone that was the girl's lavatory.

When he got back into the great hall, the Slytherins were still waiting and had started to eat again. Jakob, who had already taken off the cloak, tried and failed to sneak back to his usual seat.

"Where have you been?" he heard Pansy whisper to him in relief, almost aggravating voice.

"I needed to use the bathroom," said Jakob taking his plate and piling a lot of food on it.

Draco, who watched, almost disgusted at how Jakob was devouring his food, said.

"Jake, mate, you really must stop hanging around Crabbe and Goyle."

Both boys sitting beside Draco did not take offence and looked on with a bit of pride in their eyes as they saw their friend devour food worthy of the name Slytherin.
