Rain and Sorrow
Syaoran read Sakura's letter and immediately felt depressed that his love was feeling so bad. He wanted her to know that she wasn't alone. He sat down at his desk, and decided to write a poem back, now that he had a break from his training and studying, and since he couldn't go out anyway, because they had a major rainstorm of their own. He took out a green piece of paper and began to write….
The rain falls again
When my thoughts turn to you
To comfort me in my darkest hour
Shedding skies' tears upon my face
It comforts me little
Yet adds to my despair
Away from you I cannot live
My days of happiness are gone
Thoughts of love bring me pain
Because me love's away from me
My greatest wish is to be with you
The happy smiles upon my friends faces
The cheerful glint in lover's eyes
No friend or foe could cause me such sorrow
Than your pleasant aura away from me
Rain and tears run hand in hand
Despair and sorrow do too
Both wrap a cold blanket around my heart
And to my soul…all the way through
It rains and it rains
Well into the night
I stand in the middle
Freezing water dripping off my skin
I just don't care anymore
The rain can completely cover me
My tears mix with heavens' tears
Creating a pool beneath me
I wish it would just raise up
Cover me and swallow me whole
For then I would feel no agony
I would feel nothing at all
I write this not to worry you
I need not compassion nor pity
Simply know you're not alone
For I sincerely…miss you too
Syaoran
stood in the middle of the rain, completely drenched and soaked. He looked up and closed his eyes, his
thoughts reverting to Sakura's smiling face. He smiled. Don't worry. I'll be back soon.
