As Ken walked down the hallway, he spotted Mimi. He grabbed his books and headed her way.
"Good morning Mimi." Ken said.
"Hi Ken." Mimi replied.
"So are you ready for the big math test?" Ken asked. He was skipped ahead because of his maturness and that he passed the test. (A/N: Okay I know lame but what can you do about it?)
"Well, not really. I sort of didn't get to study last night." Mimi replied looking worried.
"Don't worry, here borrow my notes. Math is not until after lunch. So take your time studying." Ken replied with a smile.
"Thanks Ken!" Mimi leaned over and kissed him gently on the cheek. Ken blushed.
"Well, see you later." Mimi waved.
"Bye." Ken replied still blushing.
"I so can not believe she kissed YOU!" A voice creeped up.
"Huh?" Ken turned around and saw Yamato facing him.
"Oh hi, Yamato didn't notice you there." Ken said with a friendly voice.
"You, stole my girlfriend." Matt was ready to pound him.
"No I didn't." Ken said backing off.
"Yes you did, why the hell does she hate me and likes you?" Yamato replied.
"Because, you should be nicer to her. Don't treat her as an item. As a real person with feelings. You could understand her more you know!" Ken stood up for himself.
"Well, I thought you were too afried to talk back." Matt grinned evily.
"I don't care what you think! Yamato Ishida. I don't think you deserve Mimi in a million years. She deserve to find some nice and caring. And that's not you!" Ken said.
"It's not you either!" By now the bell have rang and everyone went into the classrooms and they were the only ones there.
"Well, that's true." Ken looked down. Ken didn't bother to argue. He walked away quietly.
"Huh? Well, well Yamato Ishida one! Ken zero!" Yamato grinned. But, he didn't realize that he was just about to get a big fat detention from the principal.
*At lunch time*
"Hey, Ken we are gonna go and check out that new space convention. Wanna come?" One of his friends asked.
"Nah. I don't feel like it." Ken replied still staring at his lunch.
"Are you sure? I heard they are lots of cool exhibits!" Another friend replied.
"Yeah. I am sure. Thanks for asking though." Ken said.
His friends backed off. They knew something was up and didn't know what.
"Hi Ken!" Mimi's soft voice startled him.
"Hi, Mimi." Ken replied.
"You wrote the poem didn't you?" Mimi was grinning like crazy.
"Uh, no why would you say that?" Ken replied nervously.
"It matched!" Mimi replied.
"Huh?" Ken asked. For the first time in his life. He didn't understand what someone was saying!
"The poem and your notes they matched. Same handwriting." Mimi said.
Ken blushed. He didn't know what to reply.
"Oh." That was all Ken could make out.
"Thanks for the notes. It really helped me. And maybe we could hang out after school today." Mimi asked.
"Uh really?" Ken's eyes brightened.
"Sure, why not. I have not much homework." Mimi kissed his cheek and walked away, leaving the smell of her perfume.
"So, that's what's up? Hey Ken?" One of his friends said.
"Uh well." Ken blushed.
"She's cute!" Another friend commented.
Ken have never been in this suituation, he took his tray and books and walked away. After he dumped his tray he headed for the libaray. He still want to get some study done.
"Hi, Ken." Yamato cold voice creeped up.
"Hi, Yamato." Ken replied nervously.
"I heard that Mimi is hanging out with you after school. And you know what?" Yamato asked.
"What?'' Ken replied.
"That is just not right!" Yamato replied in a whsipery voice. Pronouncing every word very carefully.
Mimi stepped into the libaray and found Yamato sitting next to Ken. Scaring him maybe?
Mimi marched up to him and said in a whisper voice.
"Let's take this outside." Mimi's green eyes flashed. Yamato knew something was up. (A/N: Okay I am not positive what colour Mimi's eyes is. So no snowballs tomatoes, etc.)
The three of them trotted outside.
"What's up Mimi?" Yamato asked.
"It's you what's up! What the hell do you think you're doing to Ken. He is my friend. And we might be even more. But, don't tell me I didn't warn you!" Mimi threatened him. (A/N: I don't know if they should use the word hell in here. But, I like using it. So, I hope it's okay)
"Even more? This loser? He is like SO short! I am taller than you're Mimi." Yamato gave disgusted looks at Ken.
Mimi got really steamed, she grabbed him by his shirt collar and said.
"Okay, now I am pissed. What the hell do you think you are saying? I don't judge people by their size. And you shouldn't either. So, I am telling you right on this spot. Stop bothering me or Ken. He might not be as tall as you are. And he might not have as many crazed friends as you are. But, I like him because he understands me. He knows my favourite colour. And after all these years. You don't even know!" Mimi let go of his shirt and marched away. " Come on Ken, let's leave the real loser suffering in pain."
"Whatever. She was weird anyway." Yamato brushed the dirt off his shirt and walked away.
"Wow, Mimi I have never seen the side of you before!" Ken commented.
Mimi's stern face broke into a smile. " Well, I never even got so mad at anyone before. But, this time he have crossed the line. I have no idea what I saw in him. I guess he was the only guy that I liked and was popular." Mimi brushed away strand of hair.
"Well, thanks." Ken stood there.
"For what?" Mimi asked.
"For helping me." Ken replied.
"Well, you're welcome." Mimi grinned. The two of them walked side by side. Talking and laughing forgetting the name Yamato Ishida.
