Sparky's Bad Day
Part 1: Alarm Clocks Are Evil...
(Author's Note: Eh, I'm sleepy. Never let Sparky write when she's sleepy. Actually, I'm just proving to myself that I can finish a fanfic...or at least a part of one. Yaaay! I don't know what this is gonna be yet, so hopefully... it ends up having a plot. Oh well, enjoy! ...I hope... O_o)
*Riiiiiiinnng*
"Hello? ...Hello?" I pick up the phone, but it's still ringing.
"Somebody get that..." I murmur, before pulling the pillow over my head.
No one does, it just keeps ringing. Then I realize what it is, my alarm clock.
Errrrgh... the bane of all non-morning ponies' existence, that little thing that reminds you that 4 am is not a decent bedtime. AKA: Rude awakening.
I hit the snooze once. For 10 peaceful minutes I'm back to my dream, my dream that I'm on an island, drinking coconut milk, watching the waves play on the shore--
*Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnggg*
Not again!!! Oh well, I hit the snooze button again. For another 10 peaceful minutes, I'm continuing my dream, the ocean, the breeze. I pick up a shell off the sand and put it to my ear, I hear waves and what is that? Distant chanting? Nooo... distant drums? Noooo... distant ringing... that's it... ringing.
Since when does a seashell ring?
That's it! I open my eyes and glare at the clock, hoping that my tousled hair and red eyes will scare it into submission. Of course the little monster won't shut up. So I do what any respectable night owl does. I pick it up, and after yelling an unprintable word or two at it, I fling it across the room.
There, no more ringing. I can go back to my nice dream with the waves playing about the shore, the breeze running through my hair, the little coconuts with umbrellas in them, and the ringing...
ARRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!!!!
