Nicholas D. Wolfwood stood on top of the building. The sun shone right into his eyes. Trying to shade his face Wolfwood's fingers went up to his brow. People lined out in front of him. There must have been at least 200 villagers waiting for his sermon.
Yes you heard me right. Sermon. Vash used the offer to pay off his tab at the bar.
"Vash what do they need me to talk about again?" Wolfwood spoke into a headset loaned to him for his sermon.
"Something about forgiveness. They've been having problems with crime lately."
Err… O.K.…." Wolfwood's eyes paned over the audience once more. Then the panic kicked in.
"VASH! I've never giving a sermon before! What made you think I could do this?"
"Its OK." Vash's voice came though the headset. Crackles of static blanked out some of the words. "I've got…. Handbook."
"A what?"
"The New Age Preachers hand book!"
Wolfwood saw a tiny Vash waving a red book in the back row. Just then Millie walked up with microphone. She pushed a button and said.
"Their all yours Mister Priest!"
Just then Wolfwood started to sweat and made little hacking noises. After a minute or so his lips became unglued and he began to speak. (Much to the worlds dismay.)
"Hi… Forgiveness is good….Um… Lets all bow our heads for Gods word!" Just as Wolfwood was going to start a prayer before meals Vash came in.
"Hold on. I can find something in the handbook." Wolfwood nodded and start praying along with Vash. (Much to the worlds dismay.)
"Bless us oh Lord and…" Vash broke off leaving Wolfwood in mid-prayer. "All that is good and…" Vash's radio faded in and out. Wolfwood hoped needle noggin knew how to read.
"Meaty." Vash and Wolfwood finished the sentience. A weak "Amen" answered the prayer and Wolfwood figured he was doing a good job.
"Step two. The blessing." Vash read. "Put your right hand out." Wolfwood did as told. "Take your right hand in. Put your right hand out and shake it all about."
"K…"
Vash watched Wolfwood dance and wondered. "Was that the right page? "Now give them your blessing. Our Father…"
Wolfwood held his hand out over the 200 people. "Our Father…"
"Please bless your… ::static:: Drunken… Angles. Let them remember… that… OH DONUTS!" Vash started running after his prey. Wolfwood stood alone. His blessing suddenly finished.
"AMEN!" Millie yelled breaking the silence. Wolfwood smiled because now he knew what to say to Gods drunken angels. He removed his hand and strongly said.
"May God bless you. Mass has ended."
"THANKS BE TO GOD!" The angels cried in unison
