Disclaimer: Oh please Paramount. Their yours I know but people want me to give a happy ending to this.
Summary: They're home at last and are laying in a field in Indiana after a storm.
Special thanks to Ladychakotay for her help in getting this one just right.
At last alone together.
Laying down beside her,
Amongst this field of tall green grass and wild flowers,
Their scent is strong now after the storm,
I take a look at her sleeping contentedly.
We had come to Indiana as soon as the official receptions had passed,
She wanted me to meet her family,
And see the home she had grown up in,
This morning we had gone for a walk through the fields.
We laughed and smiled as we walked,
Our hands entwined,
Till we found a place far from anywhere and sat together,
While I held her close to me.
We become totally unaware of all around that was around us,
Until the storm began,
She was so frightened,
So I held her closer...
So close I could feel her heart beating a little faster with each clap of thunder,
The warmth of her body grew as we held each other,
And the rain fell soaking us both as we began to undress,
We made love together at last in that storm.
And now we lay here storm forgotten,
Happy at last in each others arms,
Maybe now without the protocols,
We can be together at last.
That's it.
