Teacher's Pet
by TacomaSquall
I can't understand,
Why he fascinates –
Why I yearn to see
A smile on his face.
I long to reach out,
To crack that cold shell –
To make things better
In his lonely world.
I am his teacher,
Charged to instruct him –
Why do I want to
Teach him so much more?
Not just how to be
The consummate SeeD –
Also to unlock
The passions inside.
My efforts are vain –
Might as well be stone
For all the notice
He gives to my deeds.
I still keep trying –
I fight to believe.
Perhaps he will see
His instructor's love.
