The golden Eidolon: prologue
"The only Eidolon that can be summoned by one person is…" Doctor Tot sat in the (rebuilt) library of Alexandria castle, reading aloud to himself. "Hmm, the rest of the page is smudged…" he put down the book. "Who is the 'one person' I wonder? Maybe it is the queen? Or Eiko?" he picked up another book.

"Heeeellllpp meee!!" Vivi shouted. Ruby had given him a part in a play as the evil wizard. And it was the scene where the bad-guy gets his butt kicked. Eiko was playing the part of the heroine. She had accidentally pushed him to hard and he was about to fall off the stage. He fell. In an attempt to save himself he cast a quick spell. It went wrong and teleported him into the middle of the ice cavern. Over time the cavern had grown. A lot. He was absolutely lost. He called out his friends' names "Zidane? Eiko? Steiner? Quina? Dagger? Freya? Amarant?" he shivered and turned his staff into a torch. And then he walked.

"Where'd Vivi go?" ruby was in hysterics. The play was to start in an hour! What would she do for an actor? Tantalus decided to go look for him. Zidane went with Eiko. Blank went with Quina. Marcus went Freya and Baku with Amarant. Zidane and Eiko were to explore the ice caves. The others were spread around the mist continent.

"Huh? What's this?" Vivi had come to a dead end and melted the wall. It led to a small chamber. In the center of the chamber was a big column, to tall for Vivi, so he decided to float. He made a makeshift staff out of a small dagger Zidane never used now and a piece of wood. It worked surprisingly better than his old one. When he landed on the top of the column he gulped and tried not to look down. He looked at the small golden orb hovering just in front of him. It had rings around it that were moving. (It looked like a golden model of Saturn) it glowed when he touched it and embedded itself in his new staff. He closed his eyes and jumped down of the column. On the way down he opened his eyes, noticing the column was actually a tree. He also noticed a door at the bottom. It had a keyhole, the shape of the knob on his staff. It was a perfect fit. The door opened and there was a chocobo in an ice cube. He defrosted it and it made him get on its back.

Just as they were about to enter the ice caves, Vivi Zoomed out on the icy blue chocobo knocking them over. "Vivi! Are you ok?" he couldn't answer because the chocobo was going insane. It seemed to be melting. Vivi jumped off and it ran back into the ice caves. They began to walk home and Vivi asked Eiko if the sphere he had picked up was an Eidolon. She didn't know.
