A Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series Fanfic

It was about five a.m. when Wildwing walked in the mess hall in the Pond. He had always been an early riser, and still always seemed to be the first up of the team. He was quite surprised to find someone else sitting at the table, face hidden behind a newspaper.
"Getting an extra start at the day, Mallory?" he said as walked to the refrigerator. Mallory was the only other duck who would be awake at this hour. It was usually a half-an-hour later, through.
"Bizzz! I'm sorry, would you like to try again?" Wildwing was surprised again to hear the familiar voice of Nosedive. He was well known for being a very late riser.
"What's up Bro, can't sleep?" said Wildwing as he poured a couple cans of V-8 into a glass. He had just begun to drink from it when Dive brought the paper down, uncovering his face. Wildwing sputtered, nearly choking on the drink. He quickly composed himself and stared in shock at his brother.
This was not the duck he had seen just yesterday. A premature streak of white ran through his blond hair and there was a deep scar running down his face over his right eye.
"Hello Windwing, it's good to finally see you again." Nosedive said softly. He had on a sad look.
"Nosedive, what in the stars happened to you?"
"Striking, isn't it? Came close to looking like Duke." He fingered the scar. A smile came to his lips. "Guess it's the price I pay for being a bit too impulsive."
Wildwing walked quickly over and sat down next to his brother. He looked to his eyes and saw the humorous twinkle still there, but dulled.
"Dive, where have you been? What happened to you?"
"Bro, I've been everywhere and have had everything happen to me. I've been gone eighteen months."
A puzzled look came over Wildwing's face. "Eighteen months?"
"Oh I left last night and came back…" Dive checked his watch. "About an hour ago. But I have been gone for a while, all right. Time travel can make things like that possible."
"Time travel? Were you caught in another time vortex?"
"No, no. Controlled time travel. I've been traveling across universe, Bro. Saw wonders, and went through great dangers. Got the scar from some sort of cat creature on some planet named Morbfuller. Frisky feller, I'd say. The white hair came out when I came face to face with a hell creature on Zeldon 5."
Dive shuddered from the memory.
"But Dive, how was this possible? "
"Let's just say if you get a chance to hitch a ride with a guy in a blue police box, think it over carefully."
Dive grinned. "But, still, it was fun."
