My Resignation
I am hereby officially tendering my resignation as a Jedi Master. I have decided to accept the responsibilities of an 8 year old again. I want to eat lunch and take a nap in my 15 hundred meetings even if there are no little blue mats to lay on. I want to go to McDonalds and thinks it's a 5 star resturant. I want to sail rocks off of my balcony and watch them land on unsuspecting New Republic employees. I want to think M&Ms are better than money because you can eat them. I want to lie on the floor eating Cocoa Puffs and watching cartoons until I go to bed at noon. I want to return to a time when life was simple. When all you knew were mulitiplication tables, colours and nursery rhymes, what you didn't know, you didn't care about. All you knew was to be happy because you were blissfully unaware of all the things that could make you worried or upset. I want to think life is fair and everyone is honest and good. I want to believe anything is possible. I want to be oblivious to all the complexities of life and overly excited about the little things again. I want to live simple again. I don't want my life to consist of arguments, debates, depressing news, Dark Lords of Sith, attempts to survive more days in a year than there are stars in the galaxy, gossip, illness and the loss of loved ones. I want to believe in the power of smiles, hugs, a kind word, truth, justice, peace, dreams, the imagination, and making angels in the snow. So...here is my lightsabre, and you can have the Jedi Academy too, if you would like to dicuss this further you'll have to catch me first because TAG, YOU'RE IT!
