She has experience beyond her twenty years. More than anyone should ever have to bear in a lifetime. In twenty lifetimes. It's not fair. The world he had grown up in- of wealth, happiness, a loving family- would register nowhere in her mind. He felt so sorry for her. For all the pain she had suffered through with no one there. To hold her and tell her it was all right. She was always all alone, programmed to keep people away. It was horrible, and devastating to think about. All she knew were sterile walls and unfeeling drones. Screams and cries. Torture and death. Loss. And heartache. Pain.
And, in turn, it broke Logan's heart to know that her pain would never, ever be taken away.
