I wrote this because I've just recently seen the DBZ 
movie "The History of Trunks" (I know it is old but I have just seen it)
And I wrote what Trunks was thinking as he saw his only friend Gohan
lying there dead after the deadly attack by Andriods 17 and 18.
I know it is short and alot is in ryhme. enjoy!

Trunks had just woken up from when Gohan knocked him out so that he would
not fight. Upon reaching the spot where the fight had taken place he saw 
him. Gohan was lying there dead. 

"Gohan..." He said as he fought his tears. "I must be strong", he said as he
battled his tears further. An revelation of thoughts were going through his mind 
as he stared at his once best friend and trainer.

A single tear ran down his cheek as he thought:

You were such a fool.
Why didnt you let me fight?
Now you lie in a bloody pool.
Cause you did what you thought was right.

As I watch your body
lay lifeless on the ground,
I wonder why you had to die,
when they attacked and you stood your ground.

You knew that this would happen,
but yet you went on ahead.
It's all them killer androids fault
that you lie before me dead.

Why? I just want to know why?
What is this all of this for?
All the mass destruction and relentless torture.
They're pure evil to the core.
They got in your mind and messed with it,
And you gave into the temptation.
Now I'm stuck here by myself
in this endless desolation.

You were my only friend and now you are dead.
But why am I still alive?!
Enough is said. Your life is shed.
My soul has nothing to thrive.

It's ashame that we must live in fear.
Now without you we have no choice.
Even though that you're not here,
I can still hear your voice.
You wouldn't stand here as they go on
torturing poor helpless souls.
You'd be out there tryin to kill them
and now it is one of my goals.

I made a vowel to myself to one day 
surpass and become stronger than you.
So I could travel back in time 
and kill the andriods and that's exactly what I'll do!
This is now the time to keep that vowel to myself more than ever!
But first I must go back to home so I can rest and get better.

I will travel back in time
with my mother's time machine.
I will go there and come back
stronger than you've ever seen.

I will face these androids once and for all.
I will show them absolutely no mercy!
I will rid the world of them and free it at last.
I wish you could be here to see.

(Another tear runs down his cheek)

Gohan, I will avenge your death.
I will save this world,... or at least what is left...

"Gohan...." He wipes away the tears and flies away.
