A/N: Most likely
people who dwell in the realm known as Escaflowne don't have any clue why
a character such as I would actually submit work, since I'm a Digimon/
Gundam Wing writer. I just thought that this poem would help me spread
my wings (No pun intented Esca fans) and I came up with this poem. I just
*had* to come up with something after I saw the ending of the series. That
really was a good ending... Okay back to what I was saying... So in other
words it's my first fanwork in the Escaflowne section so I hope people
will review it. This really isn't one of my best poems but I'd appreciate
it if you review. Thanks a lot!
Sorrowful Eyes
Every time I see you,
So sad, so alone.
You don't know how much
it pains me,
To see you so...
Hurt.
When you look at me,
With those sorrowful eyes.
Once filled with such childish
hope.
Overflowing with innocence,
warmth.
Now filled with so much
pain, unfiltered hatred...
No more.
I can't stand it!
This is not right.
No one deserves to go through
all that.
The death of your parents,
your brother, your guardian,
Expecting you to take it
so lightly.
So much to ask!
It's not right...
Why can't they see you for
who you really are?
Not a king, not a soldier,
A child... Nothing more.
Blinded with the future...
Present gone in disarray...
Why can't they just let
you be?
I wish...
All I want to do is hold
you in my arms,
Let you know that I'm here...
...Just for you, never forget
that.
Our tears will speak for
us both.
