History: Much of Raven's past is unclear due to her decade-long memory gap. There is a strong possibility the memories she does possess have been doctored. She recalls owning a club wear business in her native England, though no record of this exists. Upon waking in Ontario, Canada with no knowledge of how she came to be there, she met up with the mutant Logan (code-named Wolverine). They travelled together for almost a year before meeting a mutant teenager calling herself Rogue. The mutant known as Sabretooth (a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants) attacked them, seeking to kidnap Rogue, and the X-Men rescued them. Raven and Wolverine joined the X-Men to help defeat the Brotherhood of Mutants (led by Magneto). After defeating the Brotherhood, Wolverine left to investigate a military installation in Canada. Raven became a permanent member of the team at Professor Xavier's request, also taking up a teaching position at Xavier's School For The Gifted. Soon after, evidence was uncovered to link her with MI6 (Military Intelligence and espionage branch of the British Government) and the Weapon X project, thought the exact nature of the connection remains uncertain.

Strength level: Raven's strength was increased to the human maximum for a woman of her physical age, height and build who engages in intensive regular exercise. Whether this was by Weapon X or the British Government, remains unknown.
Known superhuman powers: Raven is a mutant with several mental and physical powers. She is telekinetic, which enables her to move matter without touching it and create 'shields' around herself and others. This is limited to objects directly in her line of sight. Her secondary mental power is telepathy which enables her to read minds and disorientate enemies through concentrated "psi-blasts". She also has some limited ability to distort perception and affect free will. Raven possesses a healing factor, retractable claws and enhanced senses similar to those of Wolverine. Her adamantium claws can cut through any known material. Without adamantium, they can cut through most natural materials. Due to manipulation of the X-gene, she may have other, undisclosed powers.
