Notes: This is the first thing I've writen in ages and the first ever thing I've written about Gundam Wing (It's showing in England! It's showing in England! It's showing in England! *Happy dance*) so please be kind. I wrote it after seeing the episode where Quatre is walking in the desert looking for the Maganacs and the repaired Sandrock (the same episode Duo finds Trowa *sniff*). It can be taken as shonen ai or non, but that's the point of view I wrote it from. I think they make such a sweet couple.

A song for Quatre

Write my story in footsteps, upon the desert sands,
Wish I could wash away my sorrows in the rain,
There's so many things I've done, and so much more that I have seen,
That I know I may never be free again.

I wear my heart upon my sleeve and a smile upon my lips,
But can you see the tears hiding in my eyes,
I've washed my blood stained hands, but the crimson still haunts me,
As I walk my path beneath the desert skies.

Still see your face at every turn, in the corner of my eye,
I still hear your voice whisper in the night,
I played at being an angel, but in the end I had to fall,
I'm sorry I couldn't be your shining light.

Didn't realize I was lost, till your words showed me home,
And in our hearts, a melody was born,
But that music can't be heard now, it may never play again,
For the heart that gave it life, now lies torn.

My footsteps mark a path, I wish I could return,
For ahead, there's no road to guide the way,
But I'll listen to what you taught me, let hope live inside those words,
I'll live my life for you, every day.

Kind of short but I'm no good at writing long poetry/songs. They end up sounding strained and false.
