I'll Wait For You Always

We were supposed to go out
But you got hurt,
We were supposed to eat together
But you got sick.
Each time it felt as if it
Was tearing us apart;
But destiny was pulling us
closer together.
It showed me how to wait
And understand.
The day that they said
I was going to die;
My only thought was of
Who would wait for you.
I found that as the day
Passed on I was the
One still waiting for you,
On the clouds above.
There was a beautiful picnic
Planned just for the two
Of us. Even though your
Face was stained with tears
I realized that it is times
Like this I will miss you
Most. But because of
You I understand that time
Is on our side.
So please as a connection
I will wait for you
Always. The doctors are
Shocked that I was
Recovering, but me? NO.
I always waited for
You but now, you waited for me.
