Jack O'Neill had decided to get himself up for a
new little hobby- a web master. It has been fun for the last couple of
weeks. He had found out ways to spend his money without even having to
leave the house, how to make fun of his friends half-way across the globe
and had even found some fun online games to play. But this was all about
to change today.
You see, Jack had found out that Sam Carter happened
to be interested in computers. So, Jack had thought of this as the perfect
opitunity to go and chat her up. All was going well. She was laughing at
some of the jokes he made and, basically, she seemed to be enjoying herself.
Unfortuantly, Daniel had over heard and today Daniel and his coffee cup
Henry were coming over to show Jack a site called "www.fanfiction.net".
So, here Jack sat, in front of the computer looking
at the site. "So, what's so good about this site, then Danny boy?" asked
Jack O'Neill expecting to hear something about coffee.
"Oh, it's this big story site," replied Daniel.
Jack was pleasently supirsed. "Do you want to see some of my stories?"
Jack had barely any time to answer before the doctor had clicked up his
stories onto the screen. Seems like Jack had spoken to soon. There, in
front of him, was "Daniel's Ode To Espresso"
Jack looked back at Daniel, who was expecting him
to read it. "It's onbly one story," Jack thought. "How bad can it be?"
:-
"When I wake up in the morning,
I feel lost without you. I need you to run througth my system to keep me
in the world of the living....." Oh boy.
About half an hour later:-
"And, so, then it is time for bed. No more of you
for now. I am sad, I feel lost. And I can't wait til tomorrow when you
are running througth my system again." Finally, the torture was over!
"Finished," said a relieved Jack. "Can we get off
this page now?"
"Nope," said Daniel. Jack sighed. "You have to review
it now."
"I have to what!" exclaimed Jack. There was no way
he was going to that load of rubbish, even if Daniel was his pal. Hang
on. Scarp that. Daniel wasn't Jack's pal. Jack only made it seem like he
liked Daniel to get half the attention Daniel got from women.... enough
said.
"You have to review it." explained Danile. "All
you have to do is write down what you thought of it in this little box
here." Daniel pointed to a little box at the bottom of his story.
"And why do I have to do that?"
"Because it says ' be a responsible reader, write
a review'".
"And what if I don't want to be responsible reader?"
"Because not being a responsible reader is a very
bad thing."
"Oh alright then!" Jack throw his arms into the
air. He typed in to the little box 'This story was pants.' "Happy now?"
he asked Daniel.
Daniel screwed up his eyes as he looked at the screen,
reading Jack's comment. "No," said a now very angrey Daniel. "It has to
be construtive."
"A what-tee-what?" asked Jack.
"You have to point out it's faults and tell me how
I could make it better."
"Here's an idea. How about deleting it?"
"Jack!"
"Alright!" Jack gave up in the arguement again and
decided to type in "It shouldn't have been about coffee." Then, he present
it to Daniel to see if it was good enough. Daniel looked at it before nodding.
Jack hit the submit button. When the page reloaded he was very shocked
to see the following review:-
Teal'c (Jaffa@aol.com)
Dr Jackson, I am a responsible reader. I have written a review. Your
story has interested me into trying espresso.
Teal'c? Espresso? "Oh no!" moaned Jack.
