John Crichton Memoir:
Stranger Land
Just a few days ago, I was home
Home with friends and family
Ready for the big experiment
Rattlers in my stomach
Dad telling me 'Every man gets a chance to be his own kind of hero'
The rest is a blur
The shuttle launch
Doing the pre-flight checks on the Farscape 1
And the count down to thruster fire
5. . . .4. . .3. . .2. . .1. . .Ignition
And then the wormhole
A giant swirling blue light
It swallowed me whole
It chewed me up
It spit me out
And that was the beginning of the end. . .
I sit here now aboard this living ship
Moya she is called
Thinking of how it could have been different
What would I be doing right now
Would I be sitting around the table having dinner
and reminiscing?
I guess I'll have to wait and see
At least, for now, I'm a stranger in a stranger universe....
"And there's life out here Dad, weird, amazing, psychotic, life. And...uh... in
Technicolor."
