Authours Note: I got the idea for this story when my friend, a devoted P/Ter, told me to read a few of her favorite P/T bits (not by her) and in exchange she'd expose herself to a bit of J/C. One of her P/T bits was ANOTHER (you'll see what I mean in a minute) story, and, well...

Authours other Note: I always like to think of Janeway and B'Elanna as closer friends...

Headaches
by Zanza

"Thank you for dinner." said B'Elanna, who was quite close to her due date.

"Anytime." said Kathryn. The two had dined together because of another one of Kathryn's ideas, this time to get BOTH former members of the bachelors club, their wonderful husbands, better known as Chakotay and Tom together. They had been sent on an away mission, nothing important.

"I just hope I can find Seven in time to deliver this padd. Computer, locate Seven of Nine."

"Seven of Nine is in Holodeck 1." Kathryn frowned at the computer's answer.

"Tonight was Harry's holodeck time. He was quite excited this evenint..."

"Kathryn?"

"Sorry. Just another one of those blasted headaches."

"Maybe you should go to sickbay."

"It's nothing. Where was I?"

"Harry."

"Oh, yes. Computer, lovate Ensign Kim."

"Ensign Kim is in Holodeck 1." B'Elanna's eyes widened.

"Computer, start a holovid of Holodeeck 1, authorization Janeway Alpha Pi. End when Ensign Kim and Seven of Nine leave the holodeck, then transmit to my terminal." Kathryn could almost swear she hear a giggle from B'Elanna's direction. "Oh..."

"Are you okay? Not another headache."

"Oh, no, I'm fine, I think."

"You wish." B'Elanna said sarcastically.

"I know." B'Elanna shook her head and left.

Kathryn climbed into bed, wondering if she should go to sickbay. First, she should try to diagnose herself. It was definatly worth a try.

"Computer, which sicknesses have symptoms of constant headaches, nausea, weitht gain, and appetite increase?"

"No sicknesses have all the specified symptoms."

"Does anything?"

"Affirmative."

"What?"

"Pregnancy." It couldn't be true could it? Well, it was possible, but... *Calm down, Kathryn, it's just an idea.*

*A pretty darn good idea.*

*Probably not even true.*

*You can't be sure.*

*If I scan myself...*

*That's supposing you have the guts to do it.*

*Since I haven't convinced myself that I'm not pregnant yet, it would be a good way to convince the other half that it's just a string of headaches...*

*All right. Do it, then.* Slowly, she climbed out of bed and reached for the medical tricorder. She was almost at her stomach when she stopped. Could she really go through with this? Well...

Before she chickened out again, she continued scanning. There it was. The second lifesign. She was going to have a great time telling Chakotay this. Her message terminal blinked. The holovid was there. Then again, this could be fun...
