Once again, short I know. But I'm trying to do this series of normal everyday life stories with a little twist. The X-men behind the personas if you will. For example, this:
"Just admit it Summers." Jubilee proclaimed from the couch. "I am the video game master." She stuck her tongue out at the back of Scott's head as he unsuccessfully tired to navigate the streets of San Francisco in his souped up sports car. Scott let out a frustrated grunt as his car once again went off the road and seemed to ride the side of one of the buildings for a second, before spinning out of control on the sidewalk. "And to think we let you fly the Blackbird." She tsked at him.
"Shut up Jubilee!" Scott muttered as he tried to keep the car from flying off the Golden Gate bridge, but managed to hit one of the concrete walls marking the exit in the process. "Damn it, 6th again!" He threw the controller down on the floor and made a few profane gestures towards the TV screen before giving up his seat to Jubilee.
Taking the now abused controller, Jubes restarted the game. "Let me show you how it's done Cyke." She announced as she snapped her gum and started the game.
Jubilee had just finished the Red Wood Forest level when Cyclops heard someone enter the room. "Jubilee, you've been sitting here playing Nintendo for hours! There's a news broadcast coming on in two minutes that I don't want to miss."
Catching on quickly, Jubilee whined, "Let me just finish this level."
"No!" Scott shouted back. "That's what you said two levels ago. Now I'm not missing my program to watch you play video games." Reaching over, Scott unplugged the system from the outlet and switched the channel over to CNN.
"Hey!" Jubilee shouted. "I hadn't saved that yet!"
By then whoever had come into the rec room was gone and Scott plugged the system back in, grabbing the controller out of Jubilee's hands. "You may be the master of Cruis'n USA," Scott proclaimed to the teenager. "But I can still kick your ass in Pod-Racer."
"You're on!" Jubilee shouted as she cracked her knuckles, ready yet again to kick Scott's butt.
