Julian's heart shipped a beat when he opened the envelope he had received from Alistair, something he didn't think was quite possible. What a horrible lie he and that cold-fish, two-timing wife Ivy had been living for, oh, how many years was it now? Well, would she really expect him to keep something this big for long? That was the only good part… watching everyone's faces when the big moment came. May as well start the fish coming straight into the living room trap…
Kay was watching herself in the mirror, not quite believing that she was seeing Charity. This whole idea, not forgetting the deal of selling her soul (whatever that means) was incredibly insane, even for her. Not that she ever for one moment stopped believing that she was in love with Miguel, and was naturally willing to go some lengths to make sure her feeling were reciprocated, but using magic to get him to make love to her had never really seemed an option before.
"Oh, gods, what if Miguel doesn't fall for this? I'm going to be so dead."
It turned out to be a little late to worry about that as Miguel walked in.
"I've been thinking about what you said, Charity, and after all we're still in high school. Waiting is perfectly fine for me, really."
What had that goody-two-shoes cousin of hers said? This was going to be a little harder than she'd thought…
Luis and Sheridan were having their first real conversation alone since Sheridan had been miraculously dug up.
"I can't believe you didn't tell me you were planning this, Sheridan. I felt so torn up inside, I was sure my life was never going to be the same again. And I told Hank every detail! I can't believe he didn't say anything.
"I know, I really do. I wanted to tell you so much, but everyone said it was better not to say anything so you wouldn't be putting on an act. I hated seeing you so hurt, that's why I came out to the pier".
"There's one good thing about this. It made me realize how much I love you".
With that, Luis gave Sheridan a kiss so big it, as the clichés say, it swept her off her feet….
