As Harry followed Professor McGonagall down the long hallway he thought to himself

As Harry followed Professor McGonagall down the long hallway he thought to himself. 'What did I do this time? Snape has probably convinced Dumbledore that I'm the one that killed Neville.'

Harry had no more time to think because Professor McGonagall stopped in front of a statue.

"Potter, go inside,"

Harry slowly walked inside the brightly-lit room. He say Fawkes, Snape, Hermione, Dumbledore, and a small woman sitting inside. He immediately wondered who the small woman was. She had long brown hair and she had a kind look on her face. Harry had no idea why she was in Dumbledore's office.

"Harry, please meet Mireille Tantaneau. But to you Professor Tantaneau," said Dumbledore

Tantaneau stuck out a hand and said in a French accent, "Hello Harry. I've heard lots about you and I look forward to teaching and working with you."

"What do u mean working with you?" he replied.

"Harry, you and Hermione were chosen to help out Professor Tantaneau during her first year at Hogwarts. She is going to be the new defense against dark arts teacher." Dumbledore said. "You probably thought this was about Neville and it is. You are helping Professor Tantaneau with Hermione because it will help Hermione feel not as depressed as she is right now. You will skip some of your potions class each day to help Professor Tantaneau with her work. Professor Snape has already agreed with it."

Harry was amazed. He got to skip some of potions to help the new professor and Snape had actually agreed. It was too good to be true.

"You will have to make up all your work, but I think you two can manage," said Dumbledore. "Also, just to inform you, there will be a funeral for Mr. Longbottom tomorrow for those that wish to attend," he said softly.

Hermione suddenly burst into tears. While McGonagall, Dumbledore, and Harry were trying to comfort her, Tantaneau and Snape slipped out of the room, unnoticed.
