I hope you like this story. I wrote it after a friend of mine (not mentioning any names, TAZ!) depressed the hell outta me. It's late right now, so the first chapter may not be too long…gomen, dudes.

Prologue
Duo, my darling. I have missed you. For years I have followed you, but am too embarrassed to show myself, for I am ugly. The years have scarred me and they have aged me. Ashiteru (I love you) my Duo. My son…
First Chapter
Duo awakes to the sound of his alarm clock, the one in his new room in his new apartment shared with his new friend, Seize. Seize is a lot older then Duo, but they are close friends, and some say that they resemble each other. Seize rarely goes out, for he is scarred, and refuses to let people see him as beaten as he is. Duo feels something for Seize, something between pity and love (a/n: not yaoi style, either!)…
"Duo, breakfast!" yells Seize as he finishes rolling his wheelchair over to the table.
"Coming!" yells Duo as he bounds out of bed. He tended to be a morning person.
The two men (a/n: Yes, even at 18 -which he is in my story!- , I consider Duo to be a man!) sit down to eat breakfast, and Duo notices that Seize is even more depressed than usual. Duo asks about this and Seize sighs.
"I'm just remembering a time when I lived with a beautiful young woman…Her name was Tammie, (a/n: dedicated to you, Taz! Please don't cry!) and I really loved her… We were engaged, and had had a son, when an accident ruined it all." Seize takes a deep breath, and Duo's eyes widen at how open Seize is being.
"What happened, Seize?" asked Duo, holding his breath, a look of concern shadowing his face.
"We were at the lunar base when it was engaged in a sudden attack from the Alliance. We ducked into a boiler room to protect us from the invading guards, but they let loose several rounds of ammunition into the doors as they passed them. The boiler room was full of acid cleaners and a few hot water tanks and the containers of these were punctured from the attacking Alliance troops, spraying Tammie and I with the corrosive content. The door of the room burst open and my son and I fell through, but she never did. I took my son and fled to earth, but we were soon separated, due to the gun-happy Alliance troops."
"And after knowing me for three years, you're only now comfortable with telling me this? Wow." Duo looks up at Seize to see three lonely tears fall from his scarred face.
