Cloud shifed uncofonfortably in his chair. He feared hew was going to get beaten over falling asleep during the speech. Seph got up, and lifted Cloud to his feet, and brought him outside of the office, and over to a door. Grabbing a million keys from his pocket, Seph managed to find the key to the closet. Seph opened the door and to Cloud's horror, it was filled with those horrible mops and buckets, along with a bunch of cleaning supplies. Cloud sighed.
Sephiroth glanced at Cloud, and pushed him inside. " You will take these mops, and clean this long hallway."
"...um" Cloud squeilled out.
" What is your problem?"
" I haven't the slightest idea how to use them.. or what to do."
Seph laughed his ass off. " Well, that's what your here for, to learn." Seph rolled his eyes, and grabbed to bucket and filled it with water and floor concentrate liquid. Grabbing a mop, he pushed Cloud and the bucket out into the hallway. " Watch" Seph said as he put the mop in the water and showed him what to do. " Understand?"
"Yes," Cloud said whilehe took over the mopping job. Seph walked back to his office. " I wil come and get you when you are finished."
Cloud heard the door close, and he stopped to look at the hallway. It was one of those curved ones, so he couldn't see how long it was. Being alone gave him time to think. He missed Tifa. He was doing this in a way for her. He thought how disapointed she would be if she found out abouthim getting into trouble already.
Cloud steadily moped the hallways, untilSeph fetched him and brought him back to the office and sat down.
" What am I to do know?" Cloud pndered.
Seph, who was shocked that he was even asked, looked at the time and looked at the scedule. Dinner is coming up in 20 minutes, then you have to go to the acedemic class of the evening, which is for you.." Seph said as he looked through the charts of his students. " Math."
" Ugg.." cloud muttered under his breath.
"As boring as it may sound,youl need it in your life, and you will manage to get through it. Just don't fall asleep." Seph chuckled, and put away the files.
" How was your first day? Seph asked.
Cloud ws shocked that he even talked, semming this morning he seemed so pissed. " It was ok, I am tired"
Seph nodded. He went digging in hes desk drawer. He dug out a pill bottle and popped off the to. " Here, tkae this. It is no doze. It will keep you up."
Cloud took the pills and the drink and swallowed the two pills. " Thank you." Cloud said as he got up and started to walk back to the bunks to get ready for dinner.
Halfway back to the bunks, the pills kicked in. He felt like he just got 5 days of sleep. He arrived back to the bunk and greetedhisroomates.
" What's up with you? Karl asked?
" These pills I took, they really woke me up."
" What did they do to you for sleeping?" Zack asked.
" I had to mop a long hallway. That's it."
" Hey, if i knew that the punishment would have been that easy, i would've slept too!" Eli said as he laid on his bed.
They soon all went to dinner, and to their classes. Zack and Eli were also in Cloud's Math class, who looked just as bored as he did. The class lulled on for about two hours, then they were dismissed for the evening to sleep.
This is basically what happened for the rest of
the training camp. Things didn't change until the basic training went to
action training. Things got tough from then on.
