The Thorny Rose

At first... a mere seed.
A seed placed into thr ground, against its will, by forces beyond the seed's control...
a seed... whose destiny has been sealed without its consent.

The seed grows.
It rises up from the ground, developing, growing...
the sead develops a flower...
but before the flower opens..
it develops thorns.

The thorns are there to protect the flower.
But are the thorns, the sharp, needle-like thorns the true nature of the seed?
Is the seed nothing but a stem of dagger-like points
whose purpose is but to protect un unopened bud of a flower?

But then... the flower opens.

Now, the rose is not seen for the thorns,
but for the crimson radiance that sits at the end of the stem.
The true nature of the seed, is not to be thorns, but to open up, and show its true nature..

And the thorny rose is not alone... it is in a garden.
It finds itself in a garden of 5 others...
