Harry Potter was an unusual boy, and he was used to unusual things, but this?
Harry had just received an owl from Dumbledore, right at the start of the holidays. It read:
Harry,
I don't know how else to say this other than time is precious. Allowances have been made for you for these holdays and afterwards: You can use your magic. You may have noticed I sent along a book. It is there for your convenience - there are many new spells that you need to learn, and a few that may make the time that you have before you have to go and visit some people, it shall make your life a bit easier. Try to not use the magic too much.
In two weeks everything will be prepared and I will come to bring you back to Hogwarts for your training. I'll write to you alter about that. For now: Learn those spells and use them to your advantage!

But what was more interesting was the little note at the end:
PS - Someone will be coming along to meet you soon. Hopefully that person and maybe more will be able to see you tomorrow. I have sent notices to everyone. You are to be at florean fortescues tomorrow morning.
Harry was unsure what to do. How would he get to florean fortescues? But then, Harry remembered he could use his magic. Maybe the time between now and florean fortescues would be fun, considering this new spell book. Maybe there would be a way to conjure food in there...
