Nothing Can Stop Us Now
Duo sat on the ledge of the building, his braid blowing in the light wind. Watching the sun retreat to the hills, he felt the beginning of rain. It soaked through his clothing, through his hair, and dripped down his wonderfully cute face.
Heero looked up at the building, seeing his love and best friend sit on the edge. He could feel the awaiting silence as he entered the building. Quickly finding the stairs, he went up them, quicker and quicker. Soon, he would be with Duo.
I can feel you, waiting for me
As the sun, retreats to the hills
And I, beaneath the blanket
of a burning sky, wrap myself within.
The door opened behind him, yet he didn't look back. He knew who it was, could feel the warmth emitting from his body, could hear the soft footsteps near him. A step closer...another step. Duo looked back, smiled, and disappeared over the edge.
Heero knew this routine, knew it oh so well. Duo would leave the building, slide down the pole to the side, and enter the woods. There, the leaves would embrace him in a beautiful manner. Heero followed Duo, watching the brown braid disappear into the trees.
Embraced by dead leaves
As the rain leaves
trails of black down my face,
I creep through the twilight to that hidden place
Beyond the lonely
That tall tree, Duo found it. The one, huge tree that was his and Heero's alone. No one came there, no one would. It was a hidden place, beyond the loneliness. He sat in the tree, waiting and dreaming of the one with Prussian blue eyes...eyes that invited him to join.
Along the path, Heero could hear the stream talking. He breathed the mist and continued wakling. The wood...it whispered in a language of it's own. A sigh escaped his lips as he went to the tree, their tree. No one else's. It would never be cu down, for Heero would surely destroy the person who dared defy his love for Duo.

Heero could feel the braided boy dreaming of him, waiting for the time when the steps were re-retraced. Heero crept through the ever growing twilight to that one hidden place. The one place his love for Duo was shown. He wouldn't let anything stop him. Nothing could stop him now.

To that hiden place, beyond the lonely
he was...his blue-eyed love. Duo smiled, jumping down to land beside Heero. They could be together now, beneath the blanket of twinkling stars. Encompasing his arm around Heero's waist, he led him to their secret place...beyond the lonely.
