Teardrop Breeze

A corner filled, a lower void,
Light hue, the best of bright blue.
Offsets the sight, yet eases eyes
And forms a ball of blessed dew.

She struggles to free, lets loose her anchor
From her fated creator, to find and be found
Cascades like a dream, and releases relentless
Downward to the wet waiting ground.

Time slowly passes, thoughts are standstill
The wild waterfall looks to meeting at last.
Her yearning is of burning on nature's beginning
Her desire: the fire of unscolded repast.

But chance chooses to interrupt the moment
A hand stretched soon caught the timid teal drop.
Aqua merged, feelings surged in this sudden surprise
Stunned and shocked, no reason to stop.

She splashed and shouted, to no avail
Trapped in the pit of the palm
For hope had chosen his hand over hers
And soon she could only be calm.

The scent of ocean salt is special to me.
Lakes shake and rivers quiver my thought.
I watched the water when it left
and brought back what I had so long sought.
