Lukewarm Christian

The day you accept Him
Into your heart,
You made a commitment
To serve Him.

You say that you ove Him.
You say you'll be smart.
It became an establishment
To never unnerve Him.

But when the day of trial comes near
And we face our greatest fear,
Some will run.

In times of despair
And nobody cares,
Some will persecute
The Son.

Afraid, they are.
Strayed, they are.
From the flock.

They'll forget to hold on.
Forget not to wail.
They instead will bail
Off of the Rock.

There's no such thing as a lukewarm Christian.
You're either saved or you're not.
You're either strong or weak.
Never in between.
A tick or a tock.

So love the Lord's song
And be not in the wrong,
For a lukewarm Christian
Be you not.
