Cookie Clash

Heavy footsteps sounded in the hallway of the Kamiya residence as the digidestioned ran from the rain clouds outside.

"Well that put a bit of a damper on things," said Joe as the last of the group entered the apartment and slammed the door.

"Yeah," Davis chimed in, "What are we going to do now?"

"Don't worry guys," said Kari, ever the pacifist, "I'll go make us some chocolate chip cookies."

With a smile, Kari turned and headed for the kitchen.

"Whoo hoo! Cookies!" exclaimed Davis.

Tai quickly glared at Davis before shouting, "Yeah! COOKIES!"

Not to be outdone, Davis yelled, "Alright! I love Kari's cookies!"

"But not nearly as much as I do!" shot Tai.

Davis glared back at Tai, hunching his shoulders a bit before screaming, "Hellya! Cookie City, here I come!"

"I'm on the train to Cookie Town, it's got one stop and beverage service on the way!" said Tai, his glare intensifying.

The rest of the group stared at the two. Davis and Tai clearly both wanted to win this little "match" and it didn't look like either one was going to give up soon. Tai's eyes narrowed dangerously as Davis's hands clenched into fists.

"I'm the King of Cookies and I love my subjects," hollered Davis.

Tai's cheek ticked as he barked, "I am a monk to the cookie that is God!"

"Cookie cookie cookie, I love you!" roared Davis, his upper lip curling up slightly.

Across the room, Ken and Matt looked at each other; both knowing how long Tai and Davis could keep this up.

"COOOOOOOOOOOOOKIE!!!!!!" shouted Tai.

"I've got a PhD in Cookieology!" snapped Davis, his eyes blazing.

"Listen Davis," growled Tai, glowering, "I'm gonna win, just give up."

"Not in this lifetime, TAI. You're just scared that I'm going to beat you!"

"You? Beat me? UNLIKELY!"

"I'm gonna.."

But Davis's screams were cut off as a vase was smashed over his head, Tai soon getting the same treatment. The group stared in shock at Ken and Matt, who were both holding the ends of the vases.

"Hey, somebody had to do it," defended Matt.

"Yeah, these things happen when those two get together," added Ken.

And with that, Ken grabbed Davis under the arms and began to pull him out of the room. Matt followed suit with Tai, pulling him into another room. The group stared in shock.

A few minutes later Kari walked in with a plate of hot, fresh, gooey, warm chocolate chip cookies.

"Hey, where's everyone else?" she asked.

The group.. stared in shock.

"Oh well," shrugged Kari as she grabbed a cookie and took a bite, "I thought they liked my cookies, but I guess I was wrong."
