It was an hour after the rain stopped. Duo sat in the window of the small safehouse he and Heero were in. He sighed. He loved the rain, but he could never really pinpoint why.

"Hmm.." Duo said, while watching the rain begin to fall again. "Maybe I like the rain because of its' natural lull?", "No.. that's not it! Why exactly do I like the rain ANYWAY??" Duo said, puzzled at the fact that something so simple as rain, could captivate him so much. And he couldn't figure out why.

Duo then walked out onto the porch of the safehouse, and sat on the ledge. They weren't in immediate danger, so he could sit out and not worry. The rain started to come down harder, soaking Duo even if he was sitting on the ledge. And Duo was loving every minute of being drenched in the rain. Then it came to Duo.. 3 reasons why he loved rain. He began to list them aloud.

"Number 1 reason I like the rain.. is the sky. The powdery periwinkle blue is pretty, even prettier than a sunny-day sky." Duo said, oblivious to Heero standing in the doorway, listening to him speak. "Number 2 reason I like the rain.. is because its warm (sometimes..) and it's comforting! Just like my adorable Hee-chan." Duo smiled as he said this, then he went on to his third and final reason.

"Number 3 reason I like the rain is because of--AHH!" Just as Duo was about to say that, the ledge mysteriously shifted. Duo was about to fall off the ledge when Heero circled his arms around Duo and caught him. Duo looked up into the face of Heero. "Oh, hi, Hee-koi, what are ya' doing out here?" Duo asked. "Watching you." Heero said, nonchalantly. "Oh well then, as I was saying, I love the rain, because its pure." Then Duo and Heero walked back off the ledge onto the porch to watch the rain. Duo sank deeper into Heero's arms and said, "This is one reason, why I love the rain."
