Pokemon vs the World

Pokemon is a succes, but it comes at a price. Not on the creators, or the merchandisers, but on the fans. Also, Pokemon in general could collapse as easily as a house of cards due to one fatal flaw, peer pressure.
There are two people in this world, Pokemon fans and Pokemon haters. The fans play the video game, collect the cards, and see the movies. But the people who dislike, they denounce Pokemon as gay and retarded. These people are the downfall of this empire.
Why? They pressure their friends into disliking it, at least at school. I have and am experiencing this. When the subject is discussed, I must denounce one of my most favorite things in the world. I must lie to avoid becoming a "gay outcast" as the term is used. This is disgusting to me.
People are entitled to opinions, but to criticize upon something they know absoulutly nothing about is outrageous. Even adults do this, which is totally uncalled for. Something must be done.
The only thing we can do is fight for what we like. We must not give up Pokemon just because of paranoia. We must stay loyal. We should tune out all negative comments. We must continue to support Pokemon. We can't let this end like every other so called "fad?" We must preserve by supporting it.
Watch the cartoon, play the video games, collect the cards, or just simply enjoy it.
The point of this piece was to show you why Pokemon is slowly being destroyed. I was not trying to make you laugh. I wasn't telling a story. I wanted you to think. I want you to think of your loyalty. To Pokemon.
