"Oh?"
"He said he was going through some papers, and he found something he had forgotten about."
"What did he find?"
"A betrothal document."
"A what?"
"A betrothal document. It means…"
"I know what it means. You're getting married."
"It's not like I want this to happen. I love you. It seems that I've always loved you. I cannot imagine a life without you."
"I love you to. It just hurts that you are going to do this."
"I have no choice in this. If I refuse, my parents are going to want to know why. They can't handle the fact that I'm in love with you. You know that."
"Yeah, I guess so. But what about us? What about me?"
"We'll still be friends. I could never cut you out of my life. I want you to be my best man at the wedding."
"It will be hard. But I will for you. I'll do anything for you."
"I know. Have faith my love. Marriage isn't forever. I can always get a divorce."
"I know."
"We'd better get up. I have to get to class, and I'm pretty sure you do to."
"Yeah."
"You know that I love you, right?"
"Of course I know. I love you to."
"Nothing will change that."
