Princess Emeraude finished her prayers and quickly slipped back
into her own thoughts. . . Oh the world should not exist
outside of Zagato. . . She thought to herself. She couldn't
stop thinking about him. Not for one second. And for that she was
sorry.
The candles cast a warm glow on the smooth walls. She once again
imagined Zagato in that light.
What am I supposed to do with all these blues
Haunting me
Every where no matter what I do
Watching the candle flicker out in the evening glow

When will this night be over
Zagato stepped into the room.
"We know what we're reaching for cannot be." Zagato
said softly.
"Like ghosts." Replied Emeraude.
He nodded. "I bid you good night princess." Zagato said
before leaving.
Emeraude sighed. She trembled even more thinking about him. Then
she decided to go to bed and try to sleep. Of course she knew
better than to believe it. She knew it would be yet another
restless night.

Emeraude tossed and turned alone in her bed. Over and over she
replayed everything Zagato had ever said to her. Every little
memory she had of him. Torturing herself with what could never
be.
Her curtains blew in the cold wind. She climbed weakly out of her
bed and went out onto her balcony. She looked to the stars for
the answer to her prayer. How could she ease the pain within
her heart and soul?

Emeraude could hear foot steps go past her room. Some one was
walking down the hall at such a late hour of the night. She
shivered as yet another gust of wind hit her. She went into her
room again. And then decided to see who was wandering the halls.
Once out in the hall she realized who it was. It was her beloved
Zagato. The same one her was destroying her heart now that she
knew he too loved her.
I hear the voices call fallowing footsteps down the hall
Trying to save what's left in my heart and soul. . .

"Zagato!" She called out in her childlike voice.
Her heart beat rapidly as he turned around and headed towards
her. She started to trembled even more so.
"Yes princess?" Zagato replied.
"Hold me." She replied.
He pulled her into his strong embrace.
"For tonight will be the last night that you may do so.
Tomorrow I shall summon the Legendary Magic Knights."
Emeraude said.
"You, you can't!" He replied.
"Do not speak. Just hold me." She said ever so softly.

short and sweet, but I really wanted to write a songfic with this
and use Emeraude and Zagato. Please review and tell me what you
