Wedding Day
By: Lucrecia Langley
She was beautiful.
She wore a long, white, silk dress.
It had a V-neck and had lace on the front from her neck to her
waist. She had delicate laces gloves with no fingers. A string of
ancient pearls that were once her mothers hung around her neck.
Her long glimmering golden hair was straight down on her back.
She wore glossy lipstick and blue eye shadow. Her blueish eyes
gleemed with more happiness then anything. A white veil reached
her wasit. A smile touched apon her porcline like features.
" Do I look all right?"
Elena asked her Maid of Honor anxiously.
" Of course you do
'Lena," Yuffie assured.
" Well...what if someone
objects to our marriage?"
" Like......?" The
ninja-in-a-dress put her hands on her hips.
" I dunno...Rude?"
" Elena, Elena, Elena, you
know very well that he's been going out with Tifa since
Cloud....passed away."
" What if I trip?" The
bride bit her nail anxiously. Yuffie pushed her hand away.
" Then get right back up. No
one will even think about laughing at you."
" Not even Reno?"
" If he does I'll sock him
for ya." Yuffie winked.
Elena laughed. " Yeah right!
Your too much in love with him to hit him idly."
The Maid Of Honor smiled. "
Yeah well, now I know how you feel."
Suddenly a little girl burst in
dressed all in pink. " Its time, its time!" Marlene
cried. Elena's heart did a little flip-flop. Yuffie smiled
encouragingly.
" You heard the kid, its
time."
Elena walked out of the room and
down the aile. She saw Reno, not drunk yet, smiling at her. Rude
and Tifa sitting together soft smiles touching apon their wise
faces. Cid and Shera with their small daughter smiling at her.
The creature called Nanaki. Barret and Elmyra age showing on
their old faces. Reeve, wiping a tear from his eye. The bride
locked eyes with her old boyfriend and was startled to see both
sadness and happiness in her eyes. Happiness for her and sadness
for himself. Pity almost.
She arrived at the preist and her
to be husband.
" Do you, Elena Montag, take
this man to be there through good and bad, to support and love
him, till death do you part?"
" I do."
And do you, Vincent Valentine,
take this woman to care and support. To love and cherish to stay
by her till death do you part?"
"I do."
" Then by the power invested
in me I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the
bride."
