robertz Title: The Epilogue
Author: Callista Loveday
Disclaimer: I did not create the Princess Bride- Wish I had! Unfortunately, I was born the year the movie came out, so I really can't say I created it and get away with it.. ;) I am of course no expert on Princess Bride, so you'll probably have to correct me on some details I left out of got wrong, okay? I'm making Buttercup twenty-one, because I remember that's how old she was when she got engaged to Humperdink. I can only assume the movie from then happened in less than a month. It was hard for me to get her personality right because she's not shy and quiet, nor loud and straightforward. Also, I don't know how to spell Robertz! I've read the novel, and I still can't remember (ugh, don't you just hate it when that happens??!!).... So, please read and tell me what you think!

"But Wesley, now what are we going to do?" Buttercup whispered after she and her beau had escaped from the castle. The others were keeping a distance away, clear out of earshot. The new dread pirate Robertz was to leave at the dock the following morning.

"We can't stay in the county, for sure. I've been thinking the whole trip of the thing to do, and I've come up with this- We'll travel by ship with Robertz until we get to a part of England- Live in the country, what do you think?" Already dreaming up the small cottage he could live in, the children he could have, a couple dogs..

"Travel on a ship? With pirates?" Buttercup was doubtful of this plan, because although she trusted this man his schemes were always risky or dangerous.

"You can hide out below if they take the ship captive, my dear." He smirked.

"If you'll be with me! I don't want you off into trouble." Buttercup exclaimed, giving Wesley the feeling of being married (while of course, he realized how much he had missed her voice). This feeling gave him a rush, out of disappointment of settling down or excitement from being reunited, he didn't know.

"But Humperdink could still track us down, couldn't he?" Buttercup went on, her voice thick with her little-girl innocence that men from miles around found so endearing.

"My dear," he teased, "Use some imagination! How would he know where we were going?"

"You're right."

"Inigo," Wesley motioned over to his friend. "We're going with you! After all, we do need to ease the transaction," burrowing a line he had heard from the former pirate.

Meanwhile..

Prince Humperdink paced back and forth, occasionally stopping to kick up against the wall.

Dinnie, the servant who had discovered the prince tied up, fitdgeted nervously. "What should we do, Sire?"

"I don't know, I don't know!" Instead of hitting the wall again, his foot banged into a piece of metal nearby. He tried to shake the pain off. Now might be the time to blame Guilder, once and for all. I don't need Buttercup back, she'd kill herself anyway, knowing her. But nobody makes a fool of Humperdink and gets away with it! Making a decision, he called in his advisors. "A man, known as Wesley, is responsible for tying me up. Blond hair, skinny, blue eyes.. He went off with my bride, Buttercup. He must be found, dead or alive!"

"Where are we going to find him, Sire?" one advisor asked.

Humperdink hesitated for a moment. A minor setback.. Where would he escape to? A smart man would leave the county. Although he doesn't have much intelligence, I'm sure he'd try it too. "Check the ships at the docks. Remember, he could be under any name!"

Sorry it's short.. I can't wait to start the next chapter- When Humperdink's men catch up to Wesley at the docks.. Poor guy- He's been tortured at the pit of despair, nearly died, and now when he gets one peaceful moment with Buttercup..
