It was a Monday morning. Mr. Kinomoto had already left for work. Breakfast was set on the table for Touya and Sakura. As Kero-chan was about to wake up Sakura, Touya walks in her bedroom. Kero quickly makes room along with Sakura's stuffed animals in the corner as if he was one of them.
"Sakura! Get up or you'll be late for school, again!" says Touya. He shakes her arm until she showed some signs of awakening.
Sakura opens her eyes halfway. Touya heads downstairs to the kitchen and eats his share of breakfast.
"You have to eat breakfast, too! It's getting cold!" yells Touya.
There was an unusual silence. Touya climbs up the stairs to Sakura's bedroom again.
"I… don't… feel… so good… Touya…" says Sakura in an almost-whisper voice.
"What? Is this an excuse not to go to school? I don't buy it at all!"
A sharp pain comes across Sakura's chest as she coughs.
"Ah, Touya! Please… help me…!" cries Sakura.
Touya feels Sakura's forehead for a temperature check. She was burning hot. He went to get some medicine and a glass of water.
"Here, take this. I guess you won't be going to school today. I'll stay home and take care of you."
Sakura took the medicine and says, "Thanks, Touya."
"No problem, squirt. Now, you take a rest."
Some hours have past. Sakura opens her eyes and sees Touya sitting beside her with a bowl of what seemed to be some soup.
"Sakura?"
"Yeah, Touya?"
"I was scared when I found out that you had a fever. I thought that… it was a serious one… one that… oh, what was I thinking…"
Tori looks down and shakes his head. He starts… to cry.
"What's wrong, Tori?"
"I'm so sorry, Sakura… I never take you seriously, but from now on… I will… I promise…!"
Sakura didn't notice it, but tears were streaming down her cheek also. Then, the doorbell rings at the front door. Touya stands up and goes downstairs to answer it. It's Syaoran and Tomoyo.
"Sakura's upstairs. You can go see her."
Syaoran and Tomoyo goes to Sakura's bedroom.
"Hi, Sakura. How are you feeling?" says Syaoran.
"We heard from Touya and we came right away," says Tomoyo.
Syaoran comes next to Sakura and holds her hand.
"I'm starting to feel better, thanks to Touya."
"That's great! I'm glad to hear that. Here's a cake for you," smiles Tomoyo.
It was a small chocolate cake with icing that said "Get Well Soon, Sakura!"
"Thanks, Tomoyo. You're the greatest." Sakura says.
"I have something for you too, Sakura. I hope you like them." says Syaoran.
He hands her a dozen red roses. They smelled beautiful.
"Thank you," hugging Syaoran.
"We will come back tomorrow, Sakura. Until then, take care!" says Tomoyo.
"I missed you too much today when you didn't come to school. I hope you get well soon. I'll see you tomorrow. I love you," says Syoran, as he kisses her on the cheek.
"I love you too, Syaoran. See you tomorrow."
Sakura places her gifts on the table next to her bed. She reflects on what Touya had done for her today. He stayed home from school to take care of her, gave her medicine so that she would feel better, and promised that he would take her more seriously. Sakura smiles, and goes back to sleep.
