Shinigami, In
Love?
Shinigami, the God of Death, never knew what love was. He was always a lonely soul in the world. He never cared for anyone. He took peoples lives when it was their time. Shinigami did not care how much their souls pleaded do so that the may stay alive. But that all changed drastically one day while he was doing his job. This is a story of Shinigami (Duo Maxwell's other half) and how he learned to care and dare I say it, even to love another being. The following are the events that changed Shingami's "life" forever.
One day while Shinigami was out doing his job he was called upon to go to a moon kingdom (or in this case a Queendom, more about that later). He was suppose to take the life of the Faerie Queen whom was mortally injured in a battle against the bloody angel and his army of miscreants. When he arrived, of course unnoticed, to the queen's bed chamber he found all her servants crying to which he just shrugged off and said "How pitiful."
He approached the queens bedside to take her away be he then heard something. She asked him in a very low voice "why must you make the young boy, Duo Maxwell, suffer like this?"
Shinigami stopped as soon as he realized that the words leaving her mouth were being directed at him. With a bewildered look on his face he continued walking to the bed. She then asked, "Why don't you answer me? I know you hear me Shinigami."
Again he stopped, many questions started racing through his mind. First of which was how did she know he was there? How was she talking to him without anyone else seeming to notice it? But most importantly, how did she know about his other side Duo?
Shinigami had to do his job but now he couldn't, she sparked his curiosity. No one has ever known he was present. He HAD to find out. How did she know so much when there was so little to know?
He proceeded walking to the bedside and once there he asked the Queen, in a voice that showed no emotion what so ever, a very general question, "How?"
In a very seductive voice she responded, "Wouldn't you like to know Shinigami?" She then giggled.
Shinigami thought, "No one has ever giggled when they were about to die. What is she trying to do?" He then took a good look at her. Her beauty was outstanding, like nothing he has ever seen before. You would think that a Queen would be old, gray and ugly, but not this Queen. She was young and vibrant and her beauty radiated like rays of light around her.
"Wait, what am I thinking?" thought Shinigami to himself. "What are these emotions that I am feeling? What is she doing to me? This definitely has to be her doing. I must find out more." He then asks her "What is your name?"
She responded timidly, "My name is Queen Serenity of the Faerie Moon Queendom."
"Queendom?" Shinigami asked
She merely replied matter of factly, "Do you see any kings around?" Shinigami then understood.
"Why were you fighting, what was the cause which has now taken your life at a young age?" he asked her. Her response was one that was told sincerely, "To free my people from the evil bloody angel and his followers."
Shinigami then asked her "How did you know about Duo Maxwell and why do you say he's suffering?"
Queen Serenity just replied, "My, aren't we full of questions?"
