It has been a few weeks since Miaka had left the book and breaking up with Tamahome or Taka. She didn't thought it wouldn't work out since he was back with Tamahome let alone Taka. Miaka decided to get away from it all so she walked in the park since it was deserted on a cold night. She looked up at the night sky and saw the stars. Some in particular which had the constellation of the Crater. Tasuki's memories flashed in her mind when suddenly a warm red light engulfed her.

The Miko opened her eyes to find herself surrounded in trees. Wondering where she was, she stood up and tried to find her way to civilazation. While she was walking she felt like being stared, as she looked up there was a pair of familiar amber eyes.

This famaliar figure towards her as if it was curious. Miaka always remembered the fiery red hair he had especially those fangs! But he somehow was very surpised that he hugged her tightly. Surprised herself even after how many years it has been in this world, she hugged back and looked at his face to make sure he was really Tasuki.

When Tasuki remembered the time at the inn he let go of her. Miaka asked why and he explained. He still didn't forgive himself about it. She kissed him lightly on his cheek, she said it wasn't his fault he did that. He looked into her Emerald eyes and kissed her softly on her lips. She was shocked but accepted it and kissed back.
*When the forest turns to jade
And the stories that we've made
Dissolve away
One shining light will still remain

And our real life begins

In the forest, the new couple kissed under the light of the full moon to start the beginning of a change in their life.
